    Homework

How much homework do you get/did you get in high school? How do you/did you do with it?

I go to private school, so I don't get as much homework as public school. I still have trouble with it sometimes, though. Essays were really hard for me until this year, as I never learned how to do a proper essay till 10th/11th grade. Also, computer assignments can be an issue as I get distracted, like I am now. XDDD

I don't think I got too much homework back in high school. And most were simple enough that I could do them while watching T.V. or something. I used to have a couple free periods where I'd go to the library and work on homework, but not all the time. And I never had to study much for tests.

I'm a big procrastinator, so I try to force myself to work whenever I have time, since I know I'll end up needing extra time to make up for distraction time. But I tend to actually do better under pressure. In 11th grade I got an entire summer assignment done in two days. (School started the following day.)

In college now and I'm getting a lot more work. And I do have to study a lot more now, so I have to give myself lots of time to prepare. I tend to lose sleep over it. Still a procrastinator, but I'm trying to get better. Overall, though, I feel I'm more motivated to work very early in the morning or very late at night. Otherwise I get distracted really easily, or I just convince myself that I can afford to waste a little bit of time and it ends up being hours.

Well I'm currently procrastinating doing it now so I got some. There isn't terribly much, and most classes for me give time in class to do it. However, I managed to pick up a good case of senioritis junior year, so like math homework gets rarer that I do and physics almost never, unless it's like a lab or I know she's taking it for a grade.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

A soul breaking amount of homework. Too much all the time, everyday, with no time for me to recover except when I'm supposed to be sleeping. Half the time I'm pretty sure my teachers forget I have four other classes, and as a senior that's considered lucky since unless you're a senior you're obligated to take seven classes. I can't imagine trying to manage two more. It just seems the homework load has gotten progressively worse over the years. And people wonder why I have bruises on my shoulders from carrying everything and why I have trouble with my knees.

I got a fair bit of homework but I hardly ever did it... :P If it was completely necessary, I would do it at lunchtime right before class or in the morning before class. xD Sometimes I would wake up an hour early to write an essay due in for English that morning. I spent all my time on PE2K pretty much. I'm surprised I did so well during my final years of school. :P

Let's just say that most teachers in high school were never happy with how I did my homework...

but I still got into university, which entails doing MORE assignments, that actually count towards the final grade.

In high school, I got traumatized with the amount of homework I got (especially from the English teacher I had during my Junior year). A lot of these teachers think their class is the only class you have homework for and you have nothing better to do after school. They also forget a lot of students have sports practice, club meetings, and other things after school.

Seriously, homework and exams were big reasons why I didn't get too involved with sports and clubs. Too many nights involved me getting my butt sacked with homework and I couldn't imagine being able to squeeze in time for much of anything else.
