    Cats VS. Dogs

    Which do you prefer?

For me, I probably prefer cats. I've been afraid of dogs since I got attacked by one when I was three, and now I can only handle dogs I know.

I love dogs! They're lovable and cute. :D I have never really been around cats but I don't dislike them. I just like the cuddliness and companionship of dogs, whereas I've heard cats are more aloof.

It's mainly small dogs I have an issue with. They are evil, I swear.

I don't blame you at all for not liking them if you were attacked by one. I used to be scared of dogs when I was little to the point where I would have nightmares of waking up and seeing random dogs at my window o_O I don't know why because I never had any bad experiences with them, but I was always freaked out. xD I actually thought the dogs appearing everywhere really happened for years until I mentioned it to my mum and she told me it never happened and must have been a dream. I think I might be more of a cat person. Dogs are pretty high maintenance and demand a lot of attention. That and some dogs can have a lot of issues, such as my brother's that I've nick-named "Belle the Bunny Butcher" after she killed three baby rabbits in the backyard.

Meanwhile, my cousin has quite a few cats and they're playful, fun, cute, and generally get along well with people. Generally, I feel there can be both great cats and great dogs... and not-so-great cats and dogs also...

A wise man once said that every man should have a dog to worship him and a cat to ignore him, but I want you to look at your life and tell me that there honestly is not already enough people ignoring you and too many worshiping you.

I love them both! I picked dogs, but now I'm kinda thinking I love them equally. Dogs are more affectionate, but cats are just...cats. They're awesome in their own right. I have four dogs and three cats (one cat lives in my room and I love her more than I love myself xoxo)!

Luckily I went looking for a poll revoting option plugin and Sarah installed it for me. ;) So you can unvote if you like! XD (Not that you will haha.)

I really hate when people say they hate cats or hate dogs. Um, hello, every cat and every dog is different. e_e (Of course, Bulbasaur, having a negative experience like that is different.) I've known a few people who have said that they hate cats... And it really ticks me off, because I absolutely love my cat. She can be quite cold, but she can also be really needy and cuddly depending on the day and her mood. I actually see a lot of myself in her. If I were a cat, I'd be my cat. She's very "unique" as well... xD Very, uh, different. A bit stupid sometimes. I can relate to that. XD

I don't hate cats, I'm actually really fond of them, but I do prefer dogs. Most of the time cats don't like me so I usually end up getting attacked by them. The only cat to never do this was a stray cat in the neighborhood that I gave milk to a lot (and in exchange the squirrel, mouse, and chipmunk population slowly disappeared). She disappeared one day though many years ago. I haven't had a cat be nice to be me sense. Nevertheless, I really do like them since their fur feels nice, I like it when they purr, and when they're nice they're very nice. But my preference does go to does. Despite having been bitten by one about one or two years ago, I was raised around dogs to the point where I seem to be able to communicate with them very easily. Don't ask me how, it's the weirdest thing. Except for the dog who bit me (and that dog bit me before I knew it was there so I wasn't exactly able to try this), usually when I see a dog I'm able to calm it down and preventing it from harming me or anyone with me. Don't believe me? When I was ten, I went out to walk the dog and never came back. My parents freaked out because there was a dangerous Rottweiler down the street that pretty much mauled anything that came near it. Guess where they found me? With the Rottweiler. I was giving him bell rubs and petting him and everything. Other people tried to come near to get me but then the Rottweiler would just start threatening to attack them so that didn't go over to well. The long and the short of it is, I was walking my dog near the house the Rottweiler was at, he had broken out of his fencing through a whole somewhere in the fence. He came to attack my dog and I but all I did was drop my dog's lease (causing her to feel back to my house which triggered this whole thing), hold out both my hands like I've just released a Kamehameha blast, and the dog just slid to a stop. He started sniffing my hands and let me pet him, etc. I then just led him back to his fencing and waited for someone to come find me so I could tell them about the broken fence. That trick has worked every single time I've encountered a somewhat malicious dog. To this day, I don't know why, but it's why people say I have a way with dogs.
