    Hospital

What have you been to the hospital for?

I've only been to the hospital once. A year or two ago I stopped eating because of a pill that set off my acid reflux and made me natuseous all the time. Lost 30 pounds in a month, and I went to the hospital. They stuck a needle in my arm for 5 hours and gave me fluids, because I was dehydrated and stuff. Then they did an endoscopy, to check for ultzers. I didn't have any, and I started eating again after.

I was rushed to the hospital when I was 3. A kid in my class threw a stick and it lacerated my cornea (split my eye open). 4 surgeries later, I still have it and have about 50% vision out of it.

Not exactly a fun time at all, but it's the only time I've been too the hospital.

Back in 2012 I was rushed to the hospital after I went to just a medical care center to see why I was having trouble breathing one day. I woke up and could only breathe in so much before it physically hurt with a sharp pain. So right before we left, the guy for our air conditioner came earlier than he scheduled (unluckily enough for me). Then after I got to the care center I was there for almost 2 hours until they finally came back with my x-rays when they told me they had already called the ambulance because my right lung was more than 50% collapsed. They didn't wanna chance me going myself because my other lung by that point could begin to collapse as well.

I ended up having to get a chest tube placed in me for a good 24 hours then rest and watched for the next day. Honestly it was one of the most painful experiences I've ever been through. I hope to never have to go through that ever again. It hurt to even move and I had trouble sleeping for a few months. I didn't even completely heal and not feel pain there until a good near year later.

    The time is upon us...

When I was about 7 I contracted pneunomia. I don't really remember much about it because it was so long ago and I was a bit out of it. I remember being wheeled down a corridor in a wheelchair and being put in a bed with a heart monitor, and then waking up like two days later with loads of needles sticking out of me. I also remember that my heart rate hit 180 and the machine sounding an alarm, which made me panic and spiked my rate over 200. Apparently I'm good at remembering numbers even when oxygen deprived owo

I've not had an extended stay since then, although I've done one night here and there for various reasons

So November of my freshman year of high school, I was at a school function in Columbia (good two hours away from where I live). Long story short, I busted a dance move and as a result dislocated my left knee cap. I fell to the ground holding my knee and the impact from hitting the floor actually sent it back into place, but it still hurt like nobody's business. Now, someone (I don't know who) called an ambulance and told me the paramedics would be there soon, which was a reasonable assumption given the hospital was only like a block away from where we were. So people kept talking to me and checking on, trying to comfort me and distract me from the fact that my knee is jiggling and it shouldn't be doing that. Meanwhile, another girl is down the hall walking barefoot and accidentally steps on a high heel. The high heel goes into her foot and they have to call the hospital again to let them know, hey we got another injured person. Fun fact, it took the paramedics about an hour and a half to reach a hotel only a block away. They could have carried me to the hospital quicker. So to make a long story short, I ended up going to the hospital, getting asked if I was sure I wasn't pregnant, and getting x-rays before having to be driven two hours home. Fun times.

When I was seven I tripped over a tree root at school (like, it was 3-4 inches thick and sticking out of the ground). Fractured my elbow and had to have two lots of surgery on it. Got a badass scar from it though. Spent a bit of time in hospital dealing with that.

I've been to the hospital a few times for surgery. Both times it was a hernia operation. It was taken care of in a day, but I had to take it easy and not go running around all over the place. The scar is still there, but ah, it's no biggie.

yes but i dont remember much of it, i dont really remember how old i was neither.. like 13? all i know is that i was rocking my socks off on painkillers and watched the same movie 6 times in a row, that's what i've been told anyways.
other than that i have been in for x-rays, blood samples, boring stuff. and i aim to keep it that way.
