Yeah, I didn't ever try messing around with Missingno. I heard it could screw up the game and I didn't want to lose the team of level 100s I spent quite a bit of time training, but I could see where people loved having glitchy fun with it and how it ended up even making its way into some horror Pokemon fan fictions.

It would be a shame if the 3DS eShop versions took the glitches out. Those are a vital ingredient to the nostalgia.

Agreed on the glitch front. I THINK I did the Missingno glitch, once. But I definitely used the Mew glitch in my Blue version! Since I had no one to trade with this was the only way I was able to get Mew. xD

Well it DID have it's perks. Getting to make 99x Master Balls or 99x Rare Candy was pretty fun. Yeah I did catch it (which was the only thing that could break the game). It did, but it was like my 4th playthrough anyway.

one thing I do wonder....will we have the item limitation in these games? Back in R/B/Y we could only hold so many items before we had to chuck some things away to make room.

    The time is upon us...

I remember the pain of having to boot up each TM to figure out what move it was. That, and everything in the backpack was totally disorganized.

I think the worst out of the older games was how stuff like Wrap and Fire Spin just stopped the opponent from being able to do anything at all. The sure fixed a LOT from the older games when Gold and Silver came around.

Yeah thing's that trapped Pokemon made it unable to do anything. Well either Pokemon for that matter really. The bag was annoying because of it's limitations and non-organization. So I really hope they fixed those at least and didn't just leave everything as is.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that, also. They either fixed everything up, glitches and quirks like those, or they just left it completely as is. I doubt they did half and half.

Also, by the way, teepublic is having a site-wide sale, and they've got truckloads of great Pokemon t-shirts. I got this cool one with Pikachu that you might be interested in. But seriously, just be a little careful with that site, because I could easily rack up two-dozen t-shirts to buy in a night. That's so many of them that are awesome.

Yeah there's way too many good ones from time to time. In fact, it seems like the good ones all come out around the same time. Too bad....money is essential to live xD. Though that one is VERY tempting lol.

They may have gone half and half on the game. I mean they did remove the link cable and add a wireless function, but as far as we know there is not GTS in the game.

You are telling me you don't think that the utter domination and unbalanced nature of the Psychic-Type were the worst part opf the game? Grab yourself an Abra and you win the game.

Oh yeah, how could I forget? Yeah, the initial type chart was a mess. The whole Special thing was an early goof up too before they made Special Attack and Special Defense. The early sprites were also a little funky-looking. They certainly did a WAY better job when Pokemon Yellow's sprites came along.

I did like the fact they made evolution stones WAY easier to obtain. I don't know why they decided to be pesky and made them harder to get a hold of and in limited supply.

Those stones were definitely one thing I missed being able to get without tons of convoluted ways to get them or having such a limited quantity. I guess they realized that unfettered access to these stones was waaayyy overpowered.

And among many other reasons, the sprites were one reason I was very glad that Yellow was the very first version I got a hold of. It really surprised me at how awful the older sprites were, haha. Too bad the back sprites weren't cleaned up until Gold and Silver, though.
