They might just be ads. I never noticed because I usually have an ad blocker running.

Yeah I have that on my laptop usually too. Being on iPad and mobile right now though shows ads and stuff to me. They all lead directly to the same page and all. I just thought it was funny how it's showing those now because I've seen them xD. I've even seen stuff I've searched on Amazon or eBay as well. Facebook can be so sketchy at times. The cookies are a curse lol

Yeah, if you went to the product page on Amazon, eBay, or whatever but didn't buy it, they'll pester you with the ads a few more times until you look at something new. Their ad algorithms are doing that because they think you're in the market for that kind of crapola. :P

That's just how they get out their items with advertising. Maybe I need to check some new stuff out just to get those images of these otherworldly Pikachu off the advertisements xD. It's odd seeing that pink Easter bunny looking Pikachu on it still lol

Yeah, some of these ad things are pretty smart. I remember one time, I just checked out to see the NYC Central Park website (I think it was just for pictures), and somehow I got on the email mailing list even though I never put in an email address. How did they do that!?

I got Adblock Plus mainly for the ads that pretend to be download buttons when you get to a site page that has a mod or program available for download. Without an ad blocker, you'll have like six download buttons showing up and only one of them leads to the real thing. I one time downloaded the wrong stuff and installed loads of data-mining and system-straining junk that took me over an hour to manually remove. I had to look up how to get rid of it all and then run Avast and Spybot on full system can to make sure everything was exterminated. Not fun. :C

So yeah, I know some sites depend on ads to make money, but I'd actually rather pay a small fee for a download than to deal with that stuff.

Oh yeah that's happened here as well. Even to a point where one looked like it signed me up for papal credit, but when I called in they told me it was a fake account that runs under their title. Then again it happened right after a website signed me up for it because it didn't have an option for just PayPal (it never mentioned credit).

That is why I love Adblock plus on Chrome. Once I get my laptop back (or new) Chrome and Adblock plus will be the first things to get. After I format my laptop back and tested it that was one of the first things I saw on a YouTube video. An ad that looked exactly like a download button saying there was an update available for my system.

Oh and be careful with Avast. I used to use that for years and it immediately went downhill when it found something one day and delete something it shouldn't have. Long story short, the computer became unusable ever again. The entire motherboard would have needed to be replace along with some other components.....that or once again it was "just my luck" when it comes to breaking computers xD

Yeah, the ads are important to them, but sometimes it has a harmful effect on everyone who sees them. I know one site where I used to watch anime I stopped because I heard they "accidentally" (so they say) got linked to showing off uhh....X-rated ads (I'll just leave it at that). So some of the ads are harmful. Makes me glad I have Adblock plus for the most part now. Plus, if a live streamer goes on break or activates an ad, you don't see it. Instead, you continue to watch them xD.

Yeah, waking up early is a pain, but you get used to it. Hope it all goes well.

Well congrats to that! Least you got the job right? You get used to the time and all soon enough. All it will take is getting used to the job itself and work schedule. It can be a pain, but it's no worries!
