Oh Joy. Single. Been single forever. And doesn't look like it is changing any time soon. Basically every time I have been interested in a girl, she hasn't felt the same. The one time where I thought a girl liked me, I knew her online via a mate (he was skyping with her whilst I was at his house), and it seemed like she liked me. We talked the next day for twelve hours straight. Went from talking on facebook, to texting (she asked for my number), then skyped in the one night. And we were talking nearly daily after that, but after a while, she just seemed to not be interested in talking to me, as if she was all of a sudden annoyed by my presence (she instigated most of the original conversations). I haven't spoken to her in a few years, though I walked past her in the shopping center the other day. I think she recognized me, but I was talking on the phone and didn't acknowledge her. Granted, I will be seeing her in a week or two at a party, so that could be awkward...

She might have felt like she was being too pushy by always starting the conversation. It sounds like she wanted you to start the conversations after a while because maybe she felt like she was annoying you...but when you didn't, she probably just didn't think you were interested.

That's the thing. She started original conversations, then I began starting them, and after I did, she lost interest.
