Yeah but Alphamon is also the most useless of the holy knights since it’s said to almost never appear when there’s trouble and merely acts as a deterrent force in name only. In addition, Alphamon acts as the main antagonist in the most recent Digimon installment which definitely doesn’t look good for the leader of the knights and certainly hurts his credibility some. Especially since In this appearance Alphamon is serving Yggdrasil, the exact force he was fighting against in his previous appearance. Talk about a turn coat! Kudamon actually does his job for the entirety of his arc by traveling to the human world and partnering with someone in order to observe and protect where he is needed. While they haven’t had a ton of appearances outside Data Squad, they also have no such record of betrayal like Alphamon does.

While I’m always for a purple Digimon, since purple is my favorite color, Kudamon has always been one of my favorites because it is similar in shape to weasels or ferrets and unfortunately Dorumon does not meet that qualification and therefore can never beat Kudamon on my list. I agree on Calumon though.

Hmm, I thought it was more that he doesn't show up unless absolutely necessary, which isn't the same as being useless.
As for the him being the antagonist, that's in Tri right? I've yet to watch that, but from the fact it has the original digidestined in it, maybe it happened before X-Evolution? Cause until Yggdrasil deleted the first digital world, Alphamon was definitely loyal to them, and only turned against them because of Yggdrasils decision to abandon most of the digimon there.
But you do have a good point about Kentaurosmon. He did suceed at his task much better than Alphamon.

Now, see my shape requirements are that they look like dragons or foxes, or have oversized ears. Hence DORUmon & Calumon. Patamon's pretty good too.

I've never been much of a fan of the Digimon games. I had Digimon World on the PS1, but it was way to complex for my 4 year old brain to handle. I am looking forward to Digimon Survive though. It looks a lot like SMT: Devil Survivor, which is one of my all time favourite games.
