If you have ever watched an episode of the Pokemon anime then you have most likely heard the voice of Rachael Lillis. She has played plenty of roles in the Pokemon anime. Though, you will know her for her role as Misty and Jessie of Team Rocket in the original 4Kids Pokemon anime. Rachael Lillis was the first of the original Pokemon voice actors to return to Pokemon directed dub with the role of Maylene during Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl.
Though, as of recently, it has been revealed that Rachael Lillis has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It has spread to her spine which has made left Lillis barely able to walk.
As of January 2024, Lillis has been in a nursing home to receive care. Thought, she has been unable to rest at the nursing home due to the noise. So now she needs to return home but needs a caregiver in the form of a home care nurse. Somebody to help her cook, shower and take medication.
