The Great Gastly, Print at Home Kit, and so much more now in Pokémon GO!

Check out what all is coming to Pokémon GO!

A bunch of new Pokémon GO news released over the last few weeks! There’s a wide variety of new content coming and already in the game. So let’s take a look at what all is in store!

Print at Home Kit

Bring the adventure of Pokémon GO Fest 2020 home! With the Print at Home kit, you can assemble crafts, decorations, and more to help you re-create the adventure of traditional Pokémon GO Fests, no matter where you are in the world! The kit is available now on the Pokémon GO Fest website. Here’s a look at some of what you can find in the Print at Home kit.

At Pokémon GO live events, life-size cutouts of Professor Willow, Spark, Blanche, and Candela provide popular photo opportunities. Bring that experience home with life-size printouts! Print and assemble the professor or team leader of your choice. You can also color the decorations, build a Gift, or create your own Poké Balls with the cutouts provided. Represent Team Instinct, Team Mystic, or Team Valor proudly and share your Pokémon GO Fest celebration by putting up decorations around your home or on your windows! Or, if you’re feeling a bit more sinister, there’s a Team GO Rocket flag available for you too.

Share your crafts and creativity on social media with #PokemonGOFest2020, and we may share our favorites. Be sure to check the Niantic blog and the Pokémon GO Fest website for more updates in the coming weeks. We can’t wait to share them all with you. Until we can all meet again in the same park and under the same sky…let’s GO!

The Great Gastly

Ahead of this week’s Pokémon GO Community Day, the special Ticket to get the “The Great Gastly” Special Research is now available to purchase for £0.79/$0.99/€0.99. Similar to previous Community Day events, this is an exclusive type of special research that allows players a chance to catch an even greater number of Gastly during the event, raising their odds of catching a shiny and getting the special Community Day exclusive move. This Special Research will activate during the Community Day on July 19th from 11am to 5pm and with an event name like that, it’s sure to be a true Gatsby party!

Remote Raids

Following the lockdowns from COVID-19, remote raids were introduced to allow fans to continue to raid and interact in the Pokémon GO games. However, this feature required fans to be able to reach a gym in order to join a raid. This left many fans without the ability to participate in raids if they lived in rural areas that had low trafficked gyms or no gyms at all.

However, Niantic have now provided a solution for this. They have added the ability to invite other players to Raids remotely. Now, when in a lobby, players can invite up to 5 different friends to a raid regardless of location. It’s currently available for Level 40 players but will roll out to lower leveled players in time.

Pikachu Visor

When a player becomes Ultra Buddies with their Buddy Pokémon, their buddy will start to find souvenirs. These items have no function in the game but are collected in storage in conjunction with each particular Buddy Pokémon and finding it can boost affection to get your Pokémon closer to being better friends with you.

That said, a new Rare Souvenir has started to appear for players of Pokémon GO. Newly added to the game ahead of GO Fest is a new item that they can find: A Pikachu Visor. This visor matches the free visors that are given in a myriad of Pokémon and Nintendo events. It is possible that more items like this will appear in the future, though it is unclear if this is a limited time thing so be sure to get it while you can.

So with all of this and so much more to do, let’s get out and GO!
