Ho-Oh & 151 Pals welcome you to Bulbasaur Sea!

A new event has begun in Pokémon Rumble Rush!

This event, Ho-Oh & 151 Pals, is focused on an island based around Ho-Oh and contains various new Pokémon, all Kanto Pokémon, new Gears and more. It runs for two weeks, until March 25th. This event takes place in a new location, Bulbasaur Sea. It features an abundance of Pokémon, including all 151 Kanto, as well as Landorus, Ho-oh, and Volcanion. This includes other valuable legendaries such as Mewtwo and the legendary birds. At this time it is unclear if the types are clustering in certain areas, though it is appears flying types may be clustering on the Pokéball islands to the side and water and ice types clustering in the oceans surrounding the islands.

This island, like the last, features six gears. The new gears are: Sacred Fire (Ho-Oh), Sacred Fire (Entei), Volt Tackle (Pikachu), and Volt Tackle (Pichu). In addition, Drill Peck (Fearow) and Take Down (Stoutland) are also available as more powerful versions of the pre-existing Drill Peck (Spearow) and Take Down (Eevee) gears.

This update also includes the new Battle Royale feature and Poké Glam, new decorations for your Pokémon. Poké Glam decorations are available in the Swap Shop in the Battle Royale and rotate with each cup. When purchased, you can assign your Poké Glam to any of your Pokémon. However, when you assign it, it disappears and can no longer be used meaning you have to purchase it again in order to assign it to a different Pokémon. The Poké Glam will appear any time the Pokémon it is assigned to is in use, including if your Pokémon appear in balloons or Battle Royale for other players. Currently, there are two Pokéglam decorations available, the Fire-Type prints and the Fun Balloons.

The Battle Royale is a returning feature from all Pokémon Rumble games. In this game, you get sent against three other players in order to earn various points. There is a difference to how this runs. Despite it being player versus everyone, the other players are computer controlled based on teams created by other players. You can play 3 times a day for free, but if you wish to continue onwards you can pay 100 Diamonds per play in order to continue. There are special cups that will run during the other events which give various different bonuses and give increase stats to specific Pokémon types. When you go to participate, you have the ability to select various tiers. These tiers bring higher CP Pokémon into the fold with various different Pokémon, all pulled from different players. Each tier has its own rewards. When you win, you get a specific amount of points including a bonus if you use the Pokémon of the specified type.

Currently, the Torchic Cup will be running from now until March 11. Its specialized type is fire with the stat boost being attack up.

The Battle Royale also contains a new feature called the Swap Shop. The Swap Shop allows for you to exchange points earned for various items. These include Upgrade Kits for various Gear, and special Poké Glam which you can decorate your Pokémon with. You can also get a special title if you reach a certain number of points. The Swap Shop rotates the contents with each cup.

There is also now a 0.25% chance with each stage that instead of the usual boss, you will get a Rare Pokémon.

So with all these new features to enjoy, let’s get out and explore!
