The weather may be cold but it doesn’t mean we can’t GO!
The holidays are here and that means it is time for the Winter Event in Pokemon GO! There will be plenty of things for trainers to go. There will be new Pokemon joining holiday favorites, special bonuses and new avatar items! All of this and more will start on December 18th and end on January 2nd.
If you wanted new Pokemon from this Winter Event then you are in luck! Snover, Munchlax, and Mantyke! All these Pokemon and more will be making their first appearances in Pokemon GO. Snover will be found in the wild during the event. Meanwhile, Munchlax, Chingling and Mantyke will be making special appearances in 7k Eggs.
Some old holiday favorites will also be returning for the Winter Event. Jynx, Spheal, Delibird, Sneasel, Swinub, Snorunt can all be found in the wild. Smoochum, Azurill, and Riolu will be moving into 7K Eggs for your hatching needs!
The real stars of the Holiday Event will be coming along! Players can see Delibird coming home for the holidays with a chance to be Shiny. Lastly, Pikachu with a Santa Hat will also be coming down.
It is worth nothing that other Pokemon who were not mention but seen on the promotional image. This include the Lake Trio Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit. Chingling and Croagunk can also be seen on the promotional image. Perhaps the Lake Trio will be our next round of Legendary Raid bosses during the event.
Get ready to get plenty of gifts as well! Trainers in Pokemon GO can expect some awesome gifts in the from of Stardust, Egg Incubators and experience bonuses. Depending on the day will determine which gift you will get. Below is the break down. Also, during each day in the event you can get an Incubator a day from a PokéStop.
From December 22nd to 26th, Double Stardust on capture will run
From December 26th to 30th, you’ll get double capture XP
From December 30th to January 2nd, Incubators will halve the required distance.
Want to look good for the holidays? Delibird-themed sweater, gloves, and boots can be found in the Style Shop!
