Gym leaders have been around for a long time but…What makes them great?
One of the most impressive things about Pokemon is that it has boss battles. Though they are not called bosses. Instead, these boss battles are called gym leader battles.
With that said, there are plenty of boss battles in Pokemon games. Except we call them gym leaders! Plenty of gym leaders have come and gone in Pokemon games. Though some of them are good and bad. That is why Skip the Tutorial has done a video going over gym leaders form the various games.
One of the best things that Skip the Tutorial does with this video is noting what each generation has brought to the unique boss battle formula that Pokemon has. May it have been puzzles to just involvement in the story. These characters have proven time and time again their importance to the Pokemon games. After all, they are not punching bags for our Pokemon.
