In a bizarre announcement comes another “no one asked for that” feature in Pokémon GO. The Referral Program will allow new players, and even those who haven’t played in a while, access to items and bonuses just for playing again.
All you will need is a referral code from a current player. Newcomers will receive rewards such as Pokémon encounters, Rare Candy, Incubators, and more as they hit milestones on their adventure, and so will the person who gave out the code. This program will be rolled out slowly to players as is usual with new features. Players in Australia will be the first to receive referral codes that they can share with their friends. No other info is known at the moment, so be sure to “refer” back to PXR once more details become available.
