On July 4, Martin Billany, better known as LittleKuriboh, hosted a panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. When asked by a fan who his favorite Pokemon was, Billany admitted he was fond of the red Fish Pokemon.
“I’m a big, big fan of Magikarp, honestly,” he said, drawing laughs from the audience. “Splash attack, I love it.”
Known for creating Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, a parody of the anime Yu-Gi-Oh!, Billany hosted the panel to meet his fans and answer their questions.
His particular answer about Magikarp may have been intended humorously. Earlier he had stated that Luxray was his favorite Pokemon and that he and his wife were fond of Meowth. They own three cats.
