You’re in the jungle baby!
The latest Event during the Season of Alola has been announced. The Lush Jungle Event will feature new and old Grass-Type Pokémon. During this event there will be a new weekend long Park Spotlight which features a brand new Shiny Pokémon. Let’s find out what else is in store for the Lush Jungle Event.

In the Wild
Fomantis and Lurantis are making their Pokémon GO debut during this time. Be sure to hunt them, to get a strong one, and earn enough candy to evolve it while they are still spawning frequently.

Event Details
Now that the weather is starting to get nicer, its time to head to take to your local park. Once there you will see more Cottonee than normal. For the first time in Pokémon GO, Cottonee can be Shiny. This is the best time to stock up and build up your Shiny dex.
During the Lush Jungle Event you can also look forward to Akala Island Special Research. Not much is known about it at his time but it’s a safe bet that Fomantis and Lurantis will be involved somehow. I’m very excited for this event and i hope you are too.
