Let’s go talk about the latest news about Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee!

Plenty of new information concerning Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee was release today. Details about the Pokemon, characters and more! There has been a brand new trailer release for the games in both English and Japanese. So get ready to see some great information about these games!

Pikachu & Eevee

We have gotten new information and confirmations about the Eevee and Pikachu that will be your first partner Pokemon. The first thing to know about these two Pokemon is that they will be out of their Pokeball and can’t evolve. These two Pokemon have no interest in evolving. That will make it easier for them to travel alongside you by riding on your shoulder or head.

One important thing to note is that your Starter Pokmeon can be either male or female. They have also given Eevee a gender difference. You can now see a heart shape pattern on the tip of Eevee’s tail.

You can become friends with your Eevee or Pikachu by tickling, petting and feeding it. These things will help develop your bond with your Starter Pokemon. You will also be able to dress up your Eevee and Pikachu in several different costume. Part of this also includes stylizing your Starter Pokemon’s hair. Your Eevee and Pikachu will have several hairstyles to choose from.

It was also confirm that you can dress up your character! There will be several outfits that your character can wear. It is unsure if it will be full character customization similar to Sun & Moon or simply outfit changes. Either way, you will be able to wear matching outfits with your Starter Pokemon.

Versions Exclusives

There will be several version exclusives between Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu. Below are some of the confirmed versions exclusive Pokemon.

Let’s Go Pikachu exclusives: Oddish, Sandshrew and Growlithe
Let’s Go Eevee exclusives: Bellsprout, Vulpix and Meowth

Characters and Map

Kanto Map
It was shown today that several characters from the original Generation 1 games will be in Let’s Go. Some of these characters that were confirm includes Professor Oak, Brock and Misty. These characters have underwent some changes form their original appearance.

Professor Oak now has replaced the book that he use to hold with a tablet.

Brock was originally shown during E3. Though we now see that he is sporting a look similar to his outfit from Diamond & Pearl saga of the anime.

Misty has also changed appearance. Originally she wore a blue two piece swimsuit. Now it looks as if she is wearing a red two piece swimsuit but she is wearing a tank top to cover up her top piece and shorts. Based on released images, Misty’s gym has gain a glass pathway to leads up to her and a giant pink oyster shell.

A new version of the Kanto map has also been release (as seen above). This map features all of Kanto’s landmarks and a look at each city. It is interesting how you can look at each city and see what is there. One thing to note is that they put a volcano on Cinnabar Island. Hopefully this means that there will be a volcano within the game once you reach Cinnabar Island. In previous games feature Kanto prior to the eruption of the volcano, there was never a volcano depicted within the games.

Also seen on the map is new artistic renditions of the original 150 Pokemon.

Connectivity

Co-op play will be a feature within Let’s Go. All the second player needs to do is shake the second Joycon and they will be able to enjoy and help you on your adventure.

You will also be able to battle and trade with other players locally and via internet. Though, you will need to have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online Service. The Japanese’s website confirm that battles in Let’s Go will be between two players and that there will be no multi battles. It is unconfirmed if Double Battles will be possible in this game.

English Trailer

Below is the new English trailer for Let’s Go.

New Japanese Trailer

A new Japanese trailer has also been release. You can watch it below. This trailer contains several new details about the game.

Some of the important parts of this trailer is that you will need to battle Legendary Pokemon in order to capture them. Similar to how it is done in traditional Pokemon games.

The trailer also shows that Jessie, James and Meowth from the anime will be featured in the game as well. This will be similar to how they were included in Pokemon Yellow. One of the moments that you will encounter the Rocket Trio will be within Mt. Moon.
