Expect to see some new faces to old friends in the Crown Tundra!
We saw a huge update yesterday regarding the Crown Tundra. We do know that the next part of the Expansion Pass will be release on October 22nd. Though, we now know of some of the new Pokemon to expect to see in this new area to explore. Two of them include Galarian Slowking and Gigantamax Melmetal.
New Regional Form
Below is the new regional form for Slowking!
Galarian Slowking
Category: Hexpert Pokémon
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 175.3 lbs.
Type: Poison/Psychic
Ability: Curious Medicine
A Shellder bite set off a reaction between the chemicals secreted by Galarian Slowpoke’s brain and the spices inside its body, causing Slowpoke to gain the Poison type as it evolved into Galarian Slowking. Galarian Slowking have been observed uttering incantations in order to communicate with each other and appear to chant mysterious spells when using moves in battle. Galarian Slowking’s Ability, Curious Medicine, is a new Ability introduced in The Crown Tundra.
Galarian Slowking has a few new tricks up it’s sleeve. One of them is a brand new ability called Curious Medicine. This new ability will allow Galarian Slowking to remove any status alterations on ally Pokemon.
Galarian Slowking also comes with a brand new attack, Eerie Spell! This Psychic attack will deal damage to the opponent’s Pokemon but also drop the PP of the last move that the Pokemon used.
Who knew that a Shellder biting the top of the head of Slowking and taking over would make Slowking so…eerie.
New Gigantamax
Soon Pokemon GO will be able to connect to Pokemon HOME. That means we will see Melmetal get the chance to be huge!
Gigantamax Melmetal

Type: Steel
Ability: Iron Fist
While Gigantamaxed, the Mythical Pokémon Melmetal can use its flexible and elastic liquid-metal body to land punches even when opponents keep their distance. Steel-type attacks used by Gigantamax Melmetal will change to G-Max Meltdown, a powerful move that slams opponents with shock waves and swirling liquid metal. This move doesn’t only deal damage to opponents—it also prevents them from using the same move consecutively.
Gigantamax Melmetal is the first Mythical Pokemon to get a Gigantamax form. Melmetal will make sure you will have a meltdown after it uses G-Max Meltdown. That is because your Pokemon will be unable to use the same move twice in a row. This powerful Steel attack will surely leave your Pokemon scrambling!
Ash Hat Pikachu Distribution Dates
The Ash Hat Pikachu are coming to Galar! During the month of October you will see various Pikachu in Mystery Gift. All you will need is a code that can be found in various locations. Each Pikachu will be wearing a different hat that Ash wore during his many adventures around the world.
The first Pikachu to be distributed will be Pikachu wearing Ash’s original hat from Kanto. If you use the code P1KACHUGET in Mystery Gift. Once you do that then this Pikachu will soon join you in your travels in Galar.
The other Ash Hat Pikachu that you can aqucire will be Pikachu wearing Ash’s hat from Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You. The password for this Pikachu will be 1CH00SEY0U.
