November brings cool weather but also new Research rewards and more to the table!
Spooky season has started but when it ends we will be in November. This means new Research Breakthrough rewards, new raid bosses and more!
November Research Breakthrough
Start on Sunday, November 1st at 1PM will be a new Research reward! Those who open your Research box during the month of November will see Togetic!
Raid Boss Rotation for November
Darkrai will be in Raids due to the Halloween Event in Pokemon GO. This will last until early November. Though, November is going to bring some familiar friends to the table. Some that will be announced later.
Below are the details.
- From Friday, October 23, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8), Darkrai will be available to challenge in five-star raids.
- From Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, November 16, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8), Lugia will be returning to five-star raids. This time it will know the signature move, Aeroblast!
- From Monday, November 16, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8), Terrakion, Cobalion, and Virizion will be available to challenge in five-star raids.
- Stay tuned for more details on the featured Raid Boss that’ll be in five-star raids from Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, November 30, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8)!
Legendary Raid Hour will be running during November on Wednesday at 6PM.
Pokemon Spotlight Hour
Tuesday evening is for Pokemon Spotlight Hour! Below are the Pokemon you can expect to see in the Pokemon Spotlight Hour along with the bonuses.
- Tuesday, November 3, 2020: Cubone will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon. (Could be Shiny)
- Tuesday, November 10, 2020: Jigglypuff will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon. (Could be Shiny)
- Tuesday, November 17, 2020: Meowth will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon. (Could be Shiny)
- Tuesday, November 24, 2020: Barboach will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon. (Could be Shiny)
Mystery Pokemon Limited Research
Pokemon GO has announced a Limited Research Day on November 28th, 2020. They have not revealed which Pokemon will be featured. The feature Pokemon will be revealed on a later date.
Various Updates
Pokemon GO is promising to make various updates during November.
One of these new updates is allowing trainers to see more information about the Pokemon they have caught. This includes what kind of Raid it was caught from, what kind of Egg it hatched from and more.
There will also make changes to when trainers will receieve Special Research lines. Especially those from the past. Below is the example given from Pokemon GO.
For example, instead of receiving multiple Special Research lines after completing the A Mythical Discovery Special Research, Trainers will receive them later after they make more progress with the Special Research lines they have. This will not affect any Trainers who have already received all of the past Special Research lines.
