Lobbyist firm Greenburg Trauig have been hired by the Pokémon Company amid the massive growth of Pokémon GO, which has now become a phenomenon and thrust the Pokémon world back into the spotlight.Lawmakers were somewhat miffed that players of the Augmented Reality game have been going around the Nation’s government buildings while playing the game, while multiple reports have surfaced of massive stampedes in places like Central Park, as well as car accidents while people have been distracted, and more.
While the disclosure reports only mention the game once, it is believed that lobbyists will approach Capitol Hill to speak about “technology and intellectual property.”
