May Research Breakthrough
If you are keeping up with your daily Research Task then you are in for a treat when you open up your Research Breakthrough box in May. That is because you will be seeing Shinx bursting out of the box. With plenty of candy!
This Research Breakthrough will last in Pokemon GO from Friday, May 1, 2020, at 1:00PM to Monday, June 1, 2020, at 1:00PM. So make sure to open your boxes each week to collection on the bonus candy and Shinx.
Team GO Rocket Update
Team GO Rocket has been pretty quiet due to recent events. It was announced today that there will be no new Team GO Rocket Special Research until the end of September.
Though, trainers shouldn’t expect Team GO Rocket to be quiet during the Summer. It was hinted that we should still expect to see Team GO Rocket flare up with activity during the next few months.
May’s Spotlight Hour
Spotlight Hour will continue on during May. You can expect the spotlight to fall on a specific Pokemon every Tuesday for an hour starting at 6PM.
Below are the Pokemon and bonuses that you can expect for the Spotlight Hour in May.
- Tuesday, May 5, 2020: Shellder will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Tuesday, May 12, 2020: Sunkern will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
- Tuesday, May 19, 2020: Poochyena will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Tuesday, May 26, 2020: Bronzor will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
