Pokemon GO Says Alola This March

Alolan Starters and more make their Pokemon GO debut!

The Season of Alola is fast approaching and with that comes so new Pokémon to fill up your Pokédex. The region of Alola, modelled after the tropical islands of Hawaii, marked the seventh core entry in the Pokémon series. The region is full of sun loving creatures. What better way to say farewell to winter, than to bask in the glow of some tropical Pokémon.

Event Details

Time & Date
Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

In The Wild
If you are a long time fan of Pokemon GO, then you will begin to see some new faces popping up near you. Three new first partner Pokémon: Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio will be stopping by to welcome the warmer weather. You will also be greeted by some early route Pokémon: Yungoos and Pikipek. Lucky trainers may also find a Shiny Yungoos, so be sure to check all of them.

To make sure you get the most out of these new spawns, a new Collection Challenge will be available. You will need to collect the above mentioned Pokémon as well as evolve Yungoos into Gumshoos. Upon completion of the Collection Challenge, you will receive 7000 XP and 15 Ultra Balls.

Raids

  • One-Star Raids: Bellsprout*, Snubble*, Phanpy*, Electrike*, Rockruff*
  • Three-Star Raids: Alolan Raichu*, Nidoqueen, Wiggletuff, Alolan Graveller
  • Five-Star Raids: Tapu Koko
  • Mega Raids: Mega Venusaur*

You will also find Pikipek and Yungoos in Field Research so be sure to get out and spin as many stops as you can. This event is a great way to bring on the fun as we eagerly await the sun. And who can argue with two brand new Shiny Pokémon and a great new Legendary Pokémon to battle in Raids.

See you around, Genesect!
