Looks like Nebby is is not going back into that bag!
That’s because Cosmog, the Nebula Pokémon, is finally being released in Pokémon GO; Along with a whole bunch of events, new Five-Star Raid Bosses, and of course new Community Days. While full details have not been disclosed yet, here is what we know and what you can look forward to in the coming weeks.
The Season of Light
From September 1st to December 1st The Season of Light will dazzle and surprise you at every turn. Cosmog will join you on your adventure and throughout the Season you will be able to experience a story that will no doubt result in it’s eventual evolution. How this will take place is yet to be seen, but be sure to check back here when we know more.
There will be Special Research that will unlock day one of the Season of Light. As we progress through the season, new parts will unlock on October 5th and the final part on November 23rd. You can also look forward to Medicham as your Research Breakthrough for the month of September.
In Raids
Five-Star Raids will feature all four Formes of Deoxys from September 1st – 13th. This is almost two weeks to get out there and try and catch the strongest ones possible. Of course all four Deoxys can be shiny, so if your goal is to get all four, this is your best opportunity. This is also a good time to mention that spinning Photo Discs and Gyms will grant you two free raid passes per day, all season. This means double the chances to get the Pokémon you desire.
The Next two weeks are mystery Pokémon. We don’t yet know who will be in Raids during this time but if you have any guesses, we would love to hear them. Be sure to hit us up on Twitter will all of your ideas. September 27th – October 8th, you will be able to find Yveltal in Five-Star Raids. Yveltal can be Shiny so be sure to get out there and Raid like no tomorrow for this bacon bird.
Mega Raids will have Mega Ampharos from September 1st – 6th. There will be two mystery Mega Raids from Sept 6th – 16 and 16th – 27th. The final Mega Raids this month will be from Sept 27th – Oct 8th and will be Mega Lopunny.

Every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, look forward to a boost in these spawns. Every one marked with an * can be Shiny.

- Sept 20th: Aron*
- Sept 27th: Minccino*
Special Events
Most of these have limited to no details yet so be sure to check back as soon as details are revealed.
- Sept 3: Inkay Limited Research. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. spin PokéStops to earn Research for encounters with Inkay. This event marks the debut of Shiny Inkay to the game.
- Sept 6-12: Psychic Spectacular
- Sept 10: Clefairy Commotion (6 p.m. – 9 p.m.)
- Sept 11: Deoxys Raid Day (2 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
- Sept 16-21: Tests Your Mettle
- Sept 18: September Community Day (2p.m. – 5p.m)
- Sept 27-Oct 3: Fashion Week
