The Wild Area Event has now shifted in Pokémon Sword & Shield. Called the Sea Pokémon Invasion, many Water-type Pokémon now have an increased chance of appearing, with one of the slots being a guaranteed Shiny Wailord. The raid tiers are the same in both sets of games so players can be sure that no matter which version they have, all the following Pokémon are available without Y-Comm use. The raid tiers are currently as follows:
- Tier 1: Wailmer, Krabby, Frillish, Mantyke, Pyukumuku, and Carvanha
- Tier 2: Wailmer, Krabby, Frillish, Mantyke, Pyukumuku, and Sharpedo
- Tier 3: Wailord, Kingler, Jellicent, Mantine, Pyukumuku, and Sharpedo
- Tier 4: Wailord, Gigatanamax Kingler, Jellicent, Mantine, Pyukumuku, and Sharpedo
- Tier 5: Wailord, Shiny Wailord, Jellicent, Mantine, Pyukumuku, and Sharpedo
While there’s only a 2% chance of the Shiny Wailord slot appearing in a 5 star raid, this is still a much higher odds than most normal shinies so be sure to grab this Shiny Wailord while you can!
