The Jukebox is ready to go with some more tunes this week, brought to you by fans of Pokémon just like you! Since we missed out last week, this week we’re bringing you two jams instead of one. Plug those headphones in and jump inside!
First off is an OCRemix by Theory of N, entitled, “Pokemon X: What Type are You?” You’ll find it to be a very familiar theme, one that is often used in the Pokémon Franchise for title screens. This version features a light, upbeat rhythm, first starting out with peaceful music box tones before switching to retro 8-bit sounds. Brace yourself—you’re about to be hit with a brick of nostalgia!
Next we have a piece featuring a slightly more traditional instrument: the piano. PKMNRemixStudios has taken the Wild Pokémon theme from X and Y versions and played it masterfully on the piano. It’s interesting to hear how different the theme sounds without drums and other percussion instruments. Curious to how it turned out?
