Spotlight Hour: West Sea Shellos

west sea shellos
It’s Shellos time…again!

West Sea Shellos will be in the spotlight on August 17th. This pink sea slug will invade your game so lets take some time to learn all about it.

About West Sea Shellos

West Sea Shellos, much like it’s East Sea variant, is 1’00” and weighs only 13.9 lbs. You can tell the difference because the underside of it’s body is white and it’s shell is pink. The shell has several small spike-like protrusions on it. On it’s head is a ring of pink fleshy knobs resembling flower petals that spike up.

The Spotlight Pokémon made their first appearance in Generation 4 If you played Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and/or Platinum normally then you will encounter it towards once arriving in Canalave City.

In Pokémon GO

West Sea Shellos, in its base stage, has it’s strongest moveset in Mud Slap and Water Pulse with the Max CP of 1,136 CP. East Sea Gastrodon, it’s final form, has it’s strongest moveset in Mud Slap and Earthquake and it has a Max CP of 2,324.

The Shiny form of East Sea Shellos has not been release in Pokemon GO at the time of writing this article, and is not expected to be released by the time of Spotlight Hour.

Tips for Spotlight Hour

This Spotlight hour, which runs form 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time will also feature 2x catch candy. So if you haven’t saved up enough candy to evolve both variants, or you need more to power them up, now is the best time to do that.

See you around, Genesect!
