Hello! Spring Break is about to wrap up but that means State tournaments are starting! One of the firsts ones to take place this weekend is Texas States! This States is one of the biggest and toughest in the United States as trainers from all over the country come with their best and most powerful decks. Some are try and true favorites while others are dark horses!
This time we are going to get your mind in the game with a battle from Heretic. In this battle, Heretic is using a deck called Archie’s Blastoise. This deck focuses on putting Blastoise on the bench via the use of Archie’s Ace in the Hole.
The idea of Archie’s Blastoise is to get Blastoise in your discard and play your hand down to one card. Usually you want your last card in your hand to be Jirachi EX, VS Seeker or Archie’s. The first two cards mention could get you Archie’s. Once you have fulfilled those conditions then you can play Archie’s Ace in the Hole to get Blastoise on the bench and a new hand of five. Now that Blastoise is in your hand then be prepare to drown the field with Water energy.
