It is the eve before the pre-releases of Primal Clash! Today we are going feature Pooka from The Top Cut who is using a deck that has emerged from Phantom Forces. This deck is using a rather interesting strategy and has really taken a bite out of Cities. Today, we will be taking a look at Landorus EX-Crobat!
Landorus EX-Crobat is a deck that is all about speed. It wants to set up pressure quickly by using Landorus EX’s Hammerhead that does 30 damage to the active and another 30 damage to one Pokemon on the bench. There are ways to increase the damage on the opponent’s active Pokemon such as attaching a Muscle Band and/or Strong Energy on Landorus EX or making sure to attack EX Pokemon when Fighting Stadium is on the field. Hawlucha is also used to help apply heavy damage on EX Pokemon with it’s cheap attack cost. This Fighting Pokemon also has free retreat which is rather nice to have in this deck. Lastly, you have Crobat and Golbat which adds even more pressure once they evolve thanks to their abilities that activate upon evolution. Golbat has the Sneaky Bite ability while Crobat has the Surprise Bite as it’s ability. Both of these abilities activate upon evolving and deal damage to any of your opponent’s Pokemon. This helps soften up some Pokemon for heavy damage from Landorus EX.
From personal experience, this deck is quick and can run you over if you are not prepare to fight back. Landorus EX and Bats do not waste anytime as it can find ways to deal damage every turn. So watch the match below to see Landorus EX-Crobat in action!
