    Pass It On! .:Spriting Game:.

    Welcome to...

    What is Pass It On?

Why, a spriting game, of course! You take it in turns to create a collaborative sprite. Let me demonstrate how it works!

    1. The first person does a random shape looking vaguely like an outline. Keep it small, like a regular sprite size. A little bigger doesn't matter, just make sure it's not too big.

    2. The second person takes this shape and makes a fixed-up outline with it (meaning, smooth out the lines!), including inside-the-outlines outlines of smaller details such as a face. You don't have to stick to the shape completely, but keep the basic shape it was. You may add lines outside the shape as well.

    3. The third person colours this creation with colours of their choice. You may clean the outlines if the second person didn't, but you can't add features to the shape.

    4. The fourth person shades and touches up other details, finishing the sprite! You may adjust the outlines if they're a little wonky or pointed (you cannot add new features though), and may adjust the colour, but only slightly. The fourth person also starts the next sprite by completing step 1! (They don't have to; they can leave it to the next person if they like.)

Then, you have a complete sprite! :D Feel free to post the final sprite with Fakemon entry! It can be a real pokemon or any other sort of sprite, however. Up to you!

    Rules:
    • All PXR rules apply!
    • Plagiarism will not be tolerated! Create your OWN lineart or penalties such as an infraction will apply. Plagiarism is a crime!
    • Please do not make the background of your sprite-in-progress transparent, as some people do not have access to programs that can read the transparency (such as Paint) properly, so please only make the background transparent if it's the last stage of the sprite, a.k.a. nobody will be editing it after you.
    • You may participate in the creation of a sprite twice, as long as you do not do more than one step at a time. If 24 hours passes and nobody has posted, then you may complete the next step, even if you did the step previous.

    Claiming:

    • You may claim a step in the process IF it is the next step, but if you do not post the sprite within 1 hour, another person is allowed to overrule your dibs and complete the next step. We want this to be fast-paced!
    • You cannot claim further than one step ahead. If someone's claimed the second spot, and still has not done it, you cannot then post and claim the third spot. Please ONLY claim if you're about to do it and can post within an hour. Otherwise it disrupts the pace and isn't fair on others.

** NOTE: Claiming is not necessary for completing a stage. You should only claim if you know you can complete the sprite within an hour and have the intention to post it between when you claim and an hour afterwards. You do not need to claim a step in order to participate. It's just a measure taken to ensure that you have the spot. So it is optional.

Go forth, fellow spriters, and create SPRITES.

    I will start off.

    Have fun! :D
