After having a curious glance around Viridian, Alice followed the group into the Pokemon Center. The city looked much the same as it had when she was a child, but different too. It was hard to explain.

She was a little startled with she walked into the Center and an electronic voice called out her name. She watched as her trainer card appeared on the big screen. For a moment, she felt like a real trainer. Is this what would happen if she ever made it to the Pokemon League?

Alice reached into her bag and collected all of her Pokeballs. "You'll have to hop back in here for a minute," she said apologetically to Aster.

The Bulbasaur didn't seem to mind, though. He nudged the ball and disappeared without a fuss.

Alice handed Aster's Pokeball to the nurse, along with the one containing her newly-caught Rattata. She then gathered the Pokeballs containing Oak's Pokemon: an Oddish, Shuppet and Dodrio. She placed them neatly on the trolley. She felt a slight hesitation at letting go of the cheeky Ghost-type. The good-natured Pokemon seemed like fun and Alice would have loved to study its Ghost abilities further.

When her Pokemon were healed, Alice pocketed Aster's Pokeball, deciding to let him rest for a little longer. She released the Rattata, whom she had named Domino, and introduced herself. Domino blinked shyly and then cleaned her paws before approaching her new trainer. Alice took the opportunity to snap a quick picture, and stuck it into her notebook. She scribbled Domino's details next to the photo, and all that she had observed in their battle, while waiting for the other trainers.

The rat Pokemon began to explore the center, crawling under benches and into corners. Alice hoped she wouldn't get into any mischief.

Markus turned around just in time to see a rampaging Khangaskhan. He was about to point out the missing baby before it was KO'd.

"Ugh, well that's over."

The teams regrouped and started to head towards Viridian. They had secured several Pokemon, but others were missing still. He definitely noticed Meghan's new Charmeleon, though...

He then realized that, by some miracle, she had managed to evolve it on route one.

He wasn't quite sure who she was but that was NOT the work of some new trainer. She was either a prodigy, an old hat that kept her voice down about it, or those Pokemon were just really hard to fight.

In any case, off to Viridian.

When the gym got brought up, well, Markus knew a thing or two, being apparently the only local of the bunch. Felt kind of weird knowing this stuff, but the Gym Leaders of a region were well-known icons in that region, and Giovanni was...Err, a special case. "Uh, the guy's name is Giovanni...He's not a former champion, but he IS an intense individual. All Gym Leaders are utterly devastating when fought at full force, but this guy's tough even by those standards, utterly no holds barred. Looking to promote himself to Elite 4 status by the rumors, or would...He's not the best history ever, apparently led some mafia or some-such in the past, before my time really, but he's been in some deep reform for a while now just as well. Don't bring it up, from what television says on the subject he's very touchy about it." Markus said. "In any case, Gym Leaders are SUPPOSED to be taking it easy on newbies, restraining themselves, especially if we don't have any badges yet. But, it feels early to try to take on a Gym Leader, at all...Oh, and I think his type specialty is Ground. Or he just likes Ground and decides to be a bit more fair. Maybe. I kind of forgot that bit. Bluh, that's all I've got."

Nathan followed Max towards the Pokémon Center which was the destined place for the loose Pokémon. "Here's Oddish, Nurse Joy," said Nathan, handing Oddish over to the nurse. "Why, thank you! I'll make sure the Professor receives these Pokémon back.

Nathan walked out with Leafy at his side. For this day he had a whole new city to explore. What could he do? Maybe he could go shopping? tour the town? stick with the others? Nathan asked all these questions to himself, but he thought that shopping should come first, since he does has an empty bag.

Meg smiled handed over the Fire Tauros, Oddish and Heracross. She let the other nurses heal her partners then walked outside to enjoy the air.

Meg noticed Nathan outside. She walked up and introduced herself again.
" Hi, Im Meg. You are Nathan right?" She smiled.
"Sorry about earlier..I hope I didnt scare you to badly when I ran past." She said stretching out.

Meghan was taller than most girls. She stood at 5'10.


Max looked at Marcus.
" He is much to reclusive to really pin down..I've seen him battle once and I could't tell you much about him." Max responded looking at the other trainers.
" Its 2:30" Max said looking at his watch.

" Viridian has a couple of places to check out. Oak's assistant will be here in about an hour. Lets meet up next to the pokemon center then. Im gong to check out Route 22.." Max said mysteriously heading out alone.

"Hey, Domino!" Alice called, after the rat disappeared from view for a few seconds. "Don't go too far!"

"Ta!" Alice heard an answering scoff. Eventually Domino appeared with something in her mouth. As she got nearer, Alice recognised it as a pink ribbon.

"Where'd you get that?" Alice asked, looking about to make sure no one seemed to have lost one.

Domino motioned underneath one of the benches, then dropped the ribbon at Alice's feet and sat very still, head in the air.

"Okay, okay," Alice smiled, knowing Domino wanted to wear her prize. She tied the pink ribbon around the rat's neck.

"Ta! Ta!" Domino squeaked happily and straightened up the ribbon with her front paws. She then ran up Alice's leg, causing the girl to jump a little in surprise, until Domino was curled up on her shoulder.

"Alright, you can stay there for a little bit," she said, rubbing Domino under the chin. She then headed out of the center.

Once outside, she noticed a few trainers milling about. Max told them to meet back here in one hour, and then headed off toward Route 22. Alice knew that one of the Pokemon she was really interested in could be found there. She wondered if Max would mind if she tagged along...

She wandered quietly through the streets of Viridian, sort of following the direction Max was going, but keeping well back. She didn't want to disturb the mysterious trainer, but was eager to check out Route 22 herself. She took the time to look around as she walked. She had only fleeting memories of the time she had spent in Kanto as a young child, but it sure was nice to be back. She could feel in her bones that she belonged here, just as much as Aster and Domino did.

Max was to preoccupied to even notice someone was following him. He kept a good pace walking through Viridian City and onto Route 22. This Route was much different than the others. It err silent route with a brick path leading off into the distance. Max continued moving eventually climbing over a huge wall that was covered in plants.


"I knew you couldn't avoid this place Ruby.." Blue said

Blue paused looking at Max and his parnters.
" Kinda pathetic dont you think? trying to re invent yourself as a new trainer here in Kanto? and that team of trainers...whats the deal? You want to wreck a whole team of potential trainers?" Blue said spiting out his anger.


Alice did her best to keep up. Finding the wall she climbed over and noticed the two trainers up ahead. She was hidden form their view.

Max sighed.
"As I recall..last time we met in battle. My Mega Swamper, broke your Mega Blastiose.."

* Max is alone right now. Other than Alice everyone else should be in Viridian City. Now might be a good time to do some free writing and interact with an npc.

At first Brandon thought it would be a very boring hour... then he noticed Max and Alice heading to route 22.
He released Pidgy so he could patrol the skies and keep watch. He then hurried to catch up with Alice

Alice brushed off her clothes once she reached the top of the wall. Domino had gone up ahead and was waiting silently at the top. When Alice looked up, she could just see Max's back. She huddled behind a nearby tree and watched as Max and another trainer seemed to be exchanging words. She hadn't meant to sneak around, but she felt it was too late to introduce herself now. She was a bit scared of Max and what he might say if he noticed her. What if he told Professor Oak that she shouldn't be a trainer? Would she lose Aster?

Alice couldn't hear much of what was happening, but she did hear the names of Mega Pokemon being mentioned. "Both of those guys must be really strong," she thought, wondering who the spiky-haired boy was. All she knew is that they must have some kind of rivalry going on.

She wondered if there was another way around the Route, so instead of heading the way Max had gone, she continued through the sparse vegetation as slowly and quietly as she could. Domino seemed to sense her mood and kept silent on her shoulder. Alice didn't want to interfere with whatever Max and the spiky-haired boy were doing, but she had to at least try to see one of her old playmates while she was here. That was, if he was still around. She kept an eye out for any big ears or purple spikes in the bushes.

Blue laughed off the comment.
" Lets battle right now.." Blue said pausing to wait for a response.

"Thats right loser. I would hate to have to embarrasse your little pokemon..." He paused "wait I know why you are hear...Misty.. Jeez man do you ever give up.." He smiled.

Max swung quickly punching Blue in the face knocking him to the ground.
"You talk to much.." Max said looking at the angry trainer.

"Youll pay for that Ruby!" Blue said grabbing a pokeball off his belt.


"Mag marr.." It growled.


Chunk jumped in front of Max.
"Mud mudkip!"


Alice tried her best to move around the wall without getting noticed. Brandons Pidgey came flying by. Letting out a little "Coo Cooo" As it noticed Alice. Brandon reached the wall and began to climb over not realizing what was gonig on.

Once Brandon was over the wall and saw Alice... and the Max, Blue and a huge Magmar... he was shocked but reacted quickly... he called Pidgy back to his pokeball... he was not strong enough yet tk handle that should things go south... he withdrew Mudkip... for although he had no pokemon battling experience he being a water type gave him a type advantage, besides Mudkip was a smart little guy and a smart Learner... Brandon was confident he could handle the fight if something went down.
