Paul walked through the burnt field with the group. the smell of smoke from the burnt grass made him remember a not so fun experience with a koffing when he was little.
but paul tried to stay positive, he noticed small green bird pokemon around the area that some of the trainers tried to catch. he saw one in particular that he wanted to catch.
He told flaaffy to use thunder shock on it but it teleported away before.

flaaffy looked at paul with big sad eyes and said

"flaa flaaffy" translation "why"

Meghan watched the end of the short battle between her dark type and the little bird Natu.
" Pretty straight forward even in your battles huh." Meghan said with a slight smile.

After walking for another 20 minutes Meghan paused.

"We are never going to make it there like this. If you dont mind a pokemon carrying you around I have an idea."

Once again Kiara found herself being talked into something new. She climbed on Pidgeot while Meghan jumped on Kaze. The trainer were finally able to pick up some speed as the scanned the near by forest. Now that Meghans pokemon were out of range of the psychic gem which had seemed to feed into all pokemons powers they ability to fly with the trainers on them dropped down. Kaze and Finn carried the trainers over the forest towards the beaches scanning for any signs of life. Finally when they noticed a couple of boats and men patrolling the area. Kaze and Finn were tired and landed in the forest a little ways away from the beach. Once they were there Meghan called back Kaze and Finn to get some rest. She called back most the pokemon expect for Arbok, Frogadier and Noibat.

Meghan took the lead that this point as she had much more experince with this kind of stuff.
"Listen., we are getting close. Beyond this forest could be Lt. Surge." She said with a slight growl

"So if you are going to come with you have to be prepared to keep your head down and on the off chance we are spotted we need to battle. Is that clear? I do not want you to risk anything that you will regret by putting yourself in a situation you are no prepared for." She said letting the trainer know if she wanted to back out now was the time.

She waited for a moment (Steven you can respond here)

and then took off towards the dock where she noticed the grunts walking around. Once the trainers reached the edge of the forest the ducked down and moved across the beach using what cover they had to stay out of sight. When they were finally close enough to see the grunts they saw the house. It seemed as if they were building something. In the distance they could hear a man shouting. Meghan reconized it right away as Surge.

"Lets move it babies. We need this hooked up to the main source of energy right away. We can put this little crap hole Gem down tonight and do whatever we want while this islanders are freaking out." He laughed

"Lets test it out...like now." He ordered having the machine turned on.

The power went to work (Which will effect the Rockies update!)

Officer Jack paused looking at Rocky then looking at Reese

" This kid get his head hit on that ship or what. " he said joking trying to ignore what Rocky said

" The Champion Max is now a psychic monster that destroyed a city? If that story doesnt sound farfetch'd i dont know what does. Kid, last time I checked Max is in the custody of the White Rockets." He said shaking his head.

"I gotta get back to my work." He said oddly annoyed

Reese paused
"Max being evil...kind of into himself maybe but psychic monster is a little hard to swallow." Reese said joking lightly

" But you havent given me any reason to not trust you." Reese said.

"Im hoping you are wrong...I would hate to have to take down Max again." He said cockily

" Jack.." He called over to his friend

" To be safe it might be best to do as the guy says. See if you can have the security increased at the museum. Even if this Dredd character doesnt appear this whole skip wreck could all be a diversion. Im going to take Rocky with me and check out boat see if we cant find an evidence in the wreckage to back what he is saying." Reese said

As he did Jack had just received an alert.
*Be on the lookout for a group of trainers that is working for the now escaped disgraced form champion Max! We are going live now with a former member of the group has turned himself in. We are going live now to the interview with the trainer named Nathan who is not in protective custody. Lets...*

Rocky had been saved by the bell as the power went out. The annoyed police officer got up and walked over to fuse box.
"Will be lucky if we can get this power up by night. These damn outages have been happening sinse last time. Normally its only like this.." He said trying to fix the fuse.

"....When a storm is coming." He growled walking around the desk and past the trianers

"You need help?" Reeese asked

"No, I just got to go out and feed the generator."

Reese walked out into the sun light.
" Shaping up to be an odd day huh? I think he can handle this. If you are ready to go will head for the boat."

"Thats very thoughtful of you to say!" she smiled

" I have been training for about 7 years now, so its taken some time to truly get my partners and I to the point we are now. I was younger than Ty when I started."

As the two talked Stacy focused on Paul. The trainer seemed a little shy and up to this point had not said much. Which his pokemon failed to get the pyschic type. Stacy walked over with Alice.
" Those Natu are fast...does your Flaaffy know thunderwave?"

" Also have you traveled up north since youve been here on this island?" She asked hoping Paul could help them avoid getting lost.

Paul noticed that Stacy and Alice came up to him and started to talk.
Paul replied

"well yes flaaffy does know thunder wave but wouldn't the natu just be able to teleport away before the thunder wave hit?, but thanks for the advice anyway"

"and i have traveled a bit but not much north"

but then Paul noticed a sleeping natu, it looked like it was in a deep sleep.
Paul said

"use thunder wave on the sleeping natu"

flaaffy was still annoyed after the last attempt but did what it was told to do and paralyzed the tiny psychic bird with also waked it up.
The green bird looked irritated and its small eyes turned red and shot a black energy beam at flaaffy aka night shade attack.

paul"intercept with thunder shock"

flaaffy started to glow of electricity and shot a small bolt of lightning at the dark energy beam. the two attacks collided and created a small explosion
when the smoke had cleared natu used its peck attack.

paul "jump to get out of the way"

flaaffy jumped and natus attack missed.

paul "finnish with thunder shock" flaaffy released another small lightning bolt natu first tried to teleport away but was to tired and then tried to run but couldn't
do to its paralasis.

Once again the people didn't believe Rocky as he told them the truth behind what was happening. He was developing quite a long 'I told you so!' list, for when the truth finally came out.

A news bulletin came through with someone once again claiming that the group were criminals. Nathan had turned himself in and was apparently trying to save his own skin by dropping the others further into trouble by going along with the lies. Rocky was aved by a power outage stopping the bulletin before it could incriminate him.

"Shaping up to be an odd day huh?" Reese said. "I think he can handle this. If you are ready to go will head for the boat."

"Yes lets go and see we can find. I hope there aren't any looters. People who try to make money from misfortune are just horrible. My Father always said that you make more money from helping people, than from exploiting times of trouble."

"You said that you might need to take Max down again. There must be a story behind that!" Rocky made conversation as they made their way to the boats.

As Stacy spoke to Paul, Alice sat down for a moment. She was tired, they'd been waking for hours. In fact, aside from almost drowning, walking was all they had done for the last few days.

She began cleaning Plume's talons with a small cloth from her bag, paying attention to the areas that Bill had pointed out. She thought about the fossils Brock had mentioned and wondered if they could be nearby. She hadn't seen any sign of a warehouse yet. She wished she had a flying Pokemon to help direct them.

The majority of the group was in favor in finding Meghan, Rocky, however, was not and decided to go off on his own to help with the recovery effort so that he could please Detective Mills, he said something Brandon about how he knows he doesnt Brandon doesnt like mills but that he seemed like a nice guy and yatatata. Brandon just shool his head silently as Rocky began to run after Reese. Rocky mis understood him greatly, Brandon didnt cooperate or talk with cops in general, that applied to all cops, not just Mills. Brandon did think Mills was a nice person, but he was a cop, because of that, Brandon couldn't cooperate or talk to him. Brandon continued to shake his head as Rocky began to dis appear from sight, that boy just didnt get it, you simply can not change the mind of authorities, if they think your guilty, then they will stop at nothing to prove your guilty and throw you in the slammer, even if Mills believed that they were innocent, it wouldnt matter, the folks after them were much higher, the ones after them were high in the Kanto government and military, Mills was simply a little guy sent to do the dirty work of capturing them.

The group began to move, in their hunt to find Meghan, Alice took the lead, although Brandon could have done so, as he was the one with the tracking skills. Luckily, as they entered the forests in the north of the island, it appeared that Meghan had left more obvious and clear signs then Brandon thought she would. He was sure Meghan would be more careful and smart and atleast try to not leave a trackable trail. Then again, maybe she actually wanted them to find her. Either way, one didnt need even basic tracking skills to follow her trail, he was sure even a 12 year old could follow it. Brandon continued to walk along with the group, he stayed towards the front of group, right behind Alice, where he could easily see all the signs and marks ahead of them. After another minute or so, they came up visible signs of a battle. There were scorch marks all over the grass, trees and bushes in the immediate area. The signs looked like a furious battle had taken place. Brandon hoped Meghan had won, regardless, the signs show that Meghan might be in trouble. They needed to find her as possible. People in the group began talking, one thing led to another and it seemed they were going to be camping here for a bit, everyone seemed exhausted. Brandon sighed, he had to admit he himself was tired, he knew Meghan could take care of herself and that she had extremelly awesome, strong and brave pokemon at her side, he was sure she would be fine for a bit until they were rested enough to continue. Brandon began walking around, gathering sticks, twigs and leaves that had fallen from the many trees around. There was a never ending supply here. Then Brandon looked around for a suitable, safe place to make a fire, he notice a very very small area, where the trees were a little further apart then anywhere else. He decided, it would have to do. He placed the sticks, twigs and leaves down on the ground in the small area, then he looked around for stones or anything else he could use to make a 'fire control' ring. He managed to find a few small stones in a small area, probably dropped by birds or carried by animals or something. He took the stones and placed them in a wide circle around the sticks, twigs and leaves. Now that he had a 'control ring' in place, he looked at Skipper, who had walked by his side since he had let him out during the ladyba incident. He said quietly to Skipper "Ok buddy, light it up" , Skipper nodded, looked at the pile of tinder, he made some flames appear out of no where and balanced it on his index finger, then he aimed it carefully towards the tinder pile and shot the flame at it. The tinder pile instantly erupted in flames creating a nice, controlled fire. Brandon looked at Skipper and smiled, it was clear Skipper was getting better with his powers, he could now make his own flames appear out of no where, before, earlier in the journey, he could only control flames that were already there, meaning he often had to use the flame on his tail to use fire moves. Skipper being able to make his own flames out of thin air, shows how comfortable he was becoming with us powers and how well he could control and manipulate them to his advantage. It made Brandon proud as a trainer to see how far his pokemon have come and how well they could use their powers. Brandon couldn't ask for better pokemon to have as partners on his travels and on this very insane adventure.

Brandon looked around at the group around him, taking in the scenary and area around them, he unzipped his pack and pulled out a bottle water and a couple granola bars, he began to eat the granola bars and drink some of his water quickly. He hadn't realized just how hungry and thirsty he was. He sat down, he watched the fire dance before him as he ate and drank. He might actually enjoy the rest they were taking now.

Seeing everyone else resting, Kyo sat down herself and sighed. She wiped her hand across her forehead. She was sweating for whatever reason but it was somewhat hot out today and this black uniform was not helping. Kyo's Meowstic came out of its pokeball and pat Kyo on the shoulder. It seemed Meowstic realized just how isolated Kyo felt. Kyo smiled and pat Meowstic's head, appreciating the gesture.

"Thanks, Meowstic. Hopefully they'll learn to trust me soon." Kyo leaned back a little placed her hands behind her head as she began to watch the sky. Her thoughts, once again, traced their way back to Meghan. No one could blame Kyo for being concerned about Meghan could they?

Rose walked quietly with the group. The others were talking, but Rose stayed out of the conversations. She wasn't very good at talking, so she didn't usually start conversations. Since no one had been talking to her, she didn't make any attempt to talk to anyone else. She didn't feel left out in any way though. She knew it was her own fault for not being more outgoing. As Stacy and the others talked, she noticed that Kyo had been kind of quiet too. She seemed to be hanging off to the side of the others. Something seemed off. After hesitating for a moment, she approached her. "Are you okay?" Rose questioned.
