Alice was relieved when the Bulbasaur came out again. Finn looked back at her sheepishly. He hadn't meant to startle them.

"Pretty amazing huh?" Meg said, looking at Alice.

"It's is," Alice grinned. "Studying Pokemon in a lab is nice, but there's no substitute for seeing them in the wild like this. There's so much we can only learn from observing them in their natural habitats. I never would have thought Bulbasaur could survive down here, but it looks like they're thriving."

"You think these guys have a sun bathing spot? Or could it be possible they absorb what they need directly from the soil in the cave?" Meg asked.

"I would have assumed they would need to access sunlight somewhere," Alice replied. "Generally they use photosynthesis for most of their energy requirements. If they're not getting any sun, then the soil down here must be pretty amazing to keep them looking so healthy!"

Alice took a few more photos as Finn ran around with the Bulbasaur and splashed in the small spring.

"This cave is almost like a living thing. If Team Rocket messes up one area, it will effect all the others. That pit could have easily destroyed the homes of Pokemon, or tunnels they use to get around. It's not right to mess with that sort of thing. This is more important than just getting the stones back." Alice frowned. "If they found these Bulbasaur, who knows what they might have done."

Alice sent out Aster. "I need you to warn the Bulbasaur about Team Rocket being in the cave," she said. "They should be on guard."

"Saur!" Aster replied. He walked slowly into the Bulbasaur's play place and began telling them about the 'bad humans' in the cave.

Alice looked over at Meg. She felt determined now to stop Team Rocket and protect the Pokemon in the cave.

The Bulbasaur gathered when the Ivysaur appeared. Meghan walked around from the side. She stopped short of the pokemon knelling down. The Bulbasaur were cautious at first but came over to check her out. She smiled as they slowly made their way over to smell her and check her out.
"Hi there." She smiled.
Meghan had always been great with pokemon. She lifted up one of the pokemon who seemed very friendly.
"Alice join me." She smiled

One of the Paras rubbed up against Rocky's let like a Meowth trying to get an extra portion of cream for lunch. Then it walked over to the wall and started digging with it's friends. They excavated a tunnel. It looked like a way out.

Rocky turned to exclaim his excitement about the tunnel, but then looked on in horror as he saw the Paras trying to abduct Rose's Chingling.

Rose must have somehow released Amirah by accident, and now the group of Paras were trying to run into the tunnel with Rose's Pokemon.

"Look out Rose. Those Paras have Amirah. Don't worry I'll call out Fury, he can probably knock all of these Paras out without straining!" Rocky picked up Fury's ball ready to unleash the ferocious fire type.

As the sensing she was feeling earlier as well as the voice began to fade away, she was again left alone in the darkness she was so used to. "Wait!" She shouted in response to Rocky's misunderstanding. Rose was confused about what was happening herself, and didn't know how she was going to explain everything to Rocky. "The Paras are... They're trying to help." Rose said quietly. She couldn't even see exactly what was happening. "We're supposed to follow them." She tried to stand up, but had difficulty doing so. She did stand up in the end, but still couldn't see where to go.

The Paras began to carry the little pyschic type through the tunnel. They didnt seem to notice what was happening between the trainers. The mushrooms on their backs started to glow in the dark tunnel.

Brandon watched as Alice and Meghan successfully managed to climb out of the pit. The rest of the group remained in the small dark pit. His eyes had adjusted to the darkeness as much as humanly possible, he still couldn't see very much, but he could now see the outlines of the other trainers and the rocks. Within a couple mintues Rocky had released his Beheameth and said the little hippo would dig them out, however within a couple seconds the plan was blown because the Hippo because the Hippo became distracted and began to eat mushrooms, which seem to agitate a family Paras which grew them. Rocky withdrew the hippo, a couple people captured paras, Brandon considered catching one himself, but decided against it. He didn't need it right at the moment. He began considering trying to make a small fire in the pit, he always carried a couple lighters and few boxes of matches, but he would need wood, he wondered if it was possible A peice wood or maybe several, could have fallen in the pit with them during the collaspe. He onew there were A couple man made structures with wood in caves... So it was possible.

Right as Brandon's mind was coming back to reality in order to execute his hopeful plan, he thought he saw a group of paras carrying what looked like Rose's pokemon... And was that an opening he saw? He hoped his mind wasn't playing tricks on him due to standing in the darkness for so long.

*I left this open ended because I wasnt sure if the tunnel thing was something only for Rocky and Rose.... Or if the rest of the rest of the group could see itnas well.*

While Meghan and Alice successfully climbed out, Nathan stayed back with few of the others. The cavern was inky dark, and simply god-awfully scary. Screeches from Zubat where heard from of above and Nathan can swear there's something breathing on his shoulder. Nathan rummaged through his bag looking for something flammable. He found a wooden fork, like the ones used for salads. "This will work just fine," said Nathan, "Shich, use Ember on the tip of this spoon." Shich shot out a small ball of fire that set fire to the spoon, creating a torch. Once the torch was made Nathan could see the thousands of Zubat flying above.

Nathan began to explore the cavern with Shich by his side, and together they walked into the inky darkness. Nathan being mindful left a trail of bread behind him.

Rose stopped Rocky from hurting the Paras.

"Well, if you are sure. Let's follow them. Rose hold my arm and I'll lead you through."

Rocky held his arm out for Rose to hold.

"Brandon and Nathan, cover us in case of attack. Think of this like football game. Somehow Rose's chingling has a connection to the Paras. That makes Rose the Quarterback, the rest of us are her blockers. I hope this Paras idea pays off, Rose. We are all depending on you here."

Rose reached out her hands, feeling for Rocky's arm. She grabbed a hold, tripping into his side as she moved closer to him. "Sorry..." Rose said, getting her balance back. She suddenly felt stressed when Rocky said they were depending on her. What if this didn't work out? Or worse, things went even more wrong? Then it would be all her fault. She simply didn't respond, continuing to unsteadily walk with Rocky's assistance.

As the group followed the Paras they were treated to a site only a few have seen. The mushrooms in the cavern lit up. The Paras began to glow making the tunnel visible. This tunnel had out dated lighting installed. It seemed it had once been one of the routes through but for some reason was now blocked off. The Paras crawled down the winding worn down stairway. As they continued down the path a cold breeze swept through the tunnel. The cold seemed a little out of place.
