Rose mentioned finding Meg. Kyo then spoke up, "Yeah, I think Meghan is more important than a crate. I mean, we don't even know what the contents of the crate are and I get its important but… well Meghan could be facing Lt. Surge right now for all we know. Isn't her life worth more?" Kyo said quietly.

Alice frowned. "Surge has my Pokemon," she replied shortly. "They were horribly infected trying to save me from Dredd and now Surge has them locked up somewhere. I want to find Meg too, but she chose to run in and get herself into potential trouble without regard for anyone trying to follow." It was clear that there was still an issue between Alice and Meg. "My Pokemon didn't get that choice and if I have a chance to find them, then that's what I need to do. Once they're safe, i will go after Meg."

Brandon seemed to agree about Meg taking care of herself, but he wanted to find Surge. It seemed the group was split.

"I think we should split up," Alice said finally. "Those of you who want to go after Meg or Surge, go for it. I'm going to find that crate first. It's up to each of you if you want to join me or not." Alice turned away from them to focus on her Archen.

"See anything, Plume?" Alice called out. The Archen squawked a few times and then leapt between trees. Alice followed her lead, glancing up every so often to try and find a hint of gold amongst the treetops.

There was only one path now. As they the grunt ran off towards the direction the team had come. Kiara looked at the team. The odd girl who had led them to this place had remained silent the whole time. She hated all of this interaction and foolishness.

" Yes...Meghan." She said sternly

As Alice Brandon and Paul were going a different direction. Stacy didnt like rushing in but after what she saw Meghan needed to checked on first. Kyo took the lead now with Rose, Ty, Stacy.

Kiara looked to her Golbat who flew up ahead circling back around to let her know this was the path. She walked out ahead of the others she didnt seem to care for waiting.

With that the team finally had the path and picked up the pace moving further away from the house into the surround forest area. They followed a huge dirt path until the could hear struggling. As they ran quickied they stopped shocked as they finally saw Meghan. The poor trainer was dangling from a tree. Her arms bound and the rope around her waste kept her drifting. It of coursed didnt help that she was struggling which made it swing more.

Below that a hand full of grunts were positioned all over. As the team arrived they were just putting some kind of metal devices int he ground. These metal devices were spread out all around. Just below Meghan hanging were cages and boxes. The cages had all of Meghans pokemon in them. An electric field kept all the Meghan's pokemon at bay.

Then they say him. The huge trainer Surge stepped forward clapping.
Alice, Brandon and Paul.

Decided to head for the building. They walked into the silent 3 story building that overshadowed the area. Inside they found a very expensive looking home with lots of room to explore.

" Well look what we have here. I can only assume you babies have come to rescue the damsel in distress. Well let me tell you there is no point."

"Surge let me down!" Meghan shouted

"Guys be careful he step the forest floor as a trap!"

Reese pressed down increasing the speed of the boat. The flash of light gave them a direction. As they got closer the area it seemed empty. Reese pointed out a dock but there were part boat pieces all over. Something wild had happened here and he wasnt going to be able to park the boat close.

"Damn..Well we either keep traying or we park it here and surf there." Reese smiled

(Ah no Max I had such a good reply but you ninjaed me. XD)

Kyo's nose scrunched up tight as anger filled her at the sight of Surge and Meghan. She felt like a wild animal inside, every muscle in her body screaming to go get Meghan. But she knew she couldn't. There were too many variables in this situation. Surge, the grunts, the electric field, and the possible traps were too much to be tackled alone. Kyo unclipped a pokeball from her belt and clicked it to enlarge.

"Nothing is impossible, even the impossible. What are you looking for? A fight? Blood? Money? I heard what Alice said about what happened to her Pokemon. You sicken me! But that's just all the more reason for us to get Meghan back from you, and the only ways I'm leaving this place are either if I have Meghan right alongside me or I'm dead."

Rocky looked at the mess where the docks had been. It looked like such a waste of money. Obviously someone of low breeding had decided to make a statement by destroying it. Rocky sighed in disappointment. When would the lower class learn to simply accept their place in the scheme of things.

"Damn..Well we either keep trying or we park it here and surf there." Reese smiled.

Rocky hadn't been able to enjoy his last experience surfing with Reese's Blastoise, due to hypothermia and shock. The chance to do so again, during a nice sunny day sounded nice though.

"Surfing sounds nice, although I don't have any Pokemon who know how to surf. Another trip on your fabulous Blastoise would be fun though." he said.

Alice, Brandon and Paul went into the house. Brandon had been unsure of this choice because he was itching for battle but couldnt let Alice just go alone. Paul was still unsure about all of this and avoiding a direct confrontation until people were ready sounded like a good plan. The mansion seemed empty enough as they stepped in. Could there be pokemon being stored in the rooms. As they moved through the halls they each slowly started to take sets of rooms. The three trainers stayed close but slowly started to move futher apart as there were so many rooms in this place.

Alice made her way upstairs moving quietly. She didnt know what she would find. She walked down the hall to a set of big doors with gold trimming on them. As she poked her head in she noticed boxes with paper work but noone seemed to be around. As she stepped in she noticed a huge calk board with all kinds of names on it. Next to them different numbers. Some were completely crossed off.

Alice looked around the house. Was this where the crates were?! Plume hopped by her side, while Paprika rode on her shoulder. They searched the rooms but there was no sign of any Pokemon. Alice felt more and more dejected the further they went. Was this what the grunt had meant? Were they missing something? She had to find her Pokemon! She had to!

Eventually Alice came to a big door with gold trimming. What was this place anyway? It was incredible! But again all she found were boxes of paperwork. She had a quick flick through some of the papers lying on the top, trying to figure out what this place was about.

Then she noticed the large chalkboard before her. It was covered in seemingly random names and numbers, some crossed off. She scanned it for any words that looked familiar. Meanwhile Plume poked around in the boxes, looking for something to play with.

Alice scanned through the names. It didnt looked like a hit list as much as maybe some kind of gambling chart. She didnt even notice whem Plume stopped making noises.

" Out of all the buildings in all the world you had to stumble into this." A familiar but eree voice said behind her.

How could Alice forget the voice however before she could even react she turned around to see the creepy yellow psychic standing behind her.

"Hyppppnoooo" It smiled

Alice looked around and noticed Plume was being held down by something but couldnt see what it was. Plum looked like should would be unable to battle as the creature appeared now dropping its invisibility.

"Zoooorr" It growled at Paprika

Finally before Pikachu could do any damage. Its electricity was collected by PI's Rhydon who had been waiting for it.

with the energy deflected the Pikachu could no longer fight off the hypnoisis and now was like Alice just under the control of the PI. Alice could speak but not loud enough for anyone but him to hear. However she was at the moment at least immobilized again.

PI sat down a couple feet from were the now dazzy trainer drifted back in forth trying to not loss all control.

"Its been a little while Alice." He smiled

" I thought it might be a little while before we cross paths again. I shouldnt really be surprised Surge doesnt do low key but I have clients that insisted I follow up with them on some high stakes bets. Actually this Gem Isle is a real gem." He laughed

" I have been able to collect bets off of everything from how many trainers made it off the SS.Anne to what, when and where the last pokemon in the sea will be." he continued putting his feet up on the desk.

"since we have the time I have a new bet for you. You can pick which of the two bets you like." He said motioning Rhydon to move the trainer to the window. Alice could walk but it was slow as she didnt have any control of it.

When she got to the window PI pointed out the scene futher down the road. She could see her friends in the distance and what looked like Meghan handing in a tree and surge.

At the same time the Hypno that had done this disappeared off in the house.

Brandon and Paul were just finishing up the bottom floor when the both felt something odd. As if a wave of energy hit them without warning they lost control of there bodies. There minds were even a little hazy. Out of the near by shadow stepped Hypno

The Hypno suggested to them walk up the stairs. The now mind washed trainer did so. Even there pokemon were at the will of this pokemon.

When the zombie like Brandon and Paul walked in the room. Brandon was made to call his pokemon back as was Paul.

Alice was not a zombie for some reason. She could speak and think completely clearly. While Brandon and Paul were aware of this and could talk they also felt like they had to do whatever Hypno said.

"So the two bets..." he joked

" First one will your friends stop Surge or will he get away...again.." he laughed

"The second is even better. Which one of your friends here will win in a fight.." He paused waiting for Meghans response.

Meanwhile

Reese smiled

"Of course man!" he said calling out Blastiose and Snorlax.

The two jumped on the pokemon and navigated through the wreckage. By the time they got there they started noticing trainers getting up out of the tall grass. The dazed trainer slowly started to get up but made it clear they werent friends.
" Intruders!" one called out falling back over. The effects of the glare had done a number to them.

Reese sighed
" It looks like there is a house up the path there. Im going to stay with these fools and make sure they are taken care of before they are arrrested for whatever the heck happened here. Ill catch up you. Be cautious." Reesse said looking at the field of at least 15 people all just waking up.

Rocky raced across the land falling into a hole. He didnt see at first. He looked around at the field around this house looked like land mines had exploded all over it. He noticed to grunts asleep half in the holes in the ground.

" Some piece and quit to work on my plans and train my troops. You little babies came after me. She broke the prototype for the Zap Cannon...but believe me that was just one test. Now lets be clear, babies any quick movements and your friend in the tree is toast. Load the truck with the crates." He then said to the few grunt left.

paul went with alice and brandon to the big building and explored it and he did not find much off interest.
as he was just about done so did he feel a weird psychic energy, then his body just started to move off its own like he was a puppet or something.
After he lost kontrol of his body so started he to get less kontrol of his mind and feelt hazy. As a hypno emerged from one of the shadows and made him walk up the stairs that alice had walked up on a couple minutes ago. Then the hypno made him call back jumpluff and butterfree who had helped him with searching the big building.

Alice groaned at the sight of the PI. Was she ever going to have any good luck?!

Before she could do anything, her Pokemon had been neutralised and she had somehow been frozen by the Hypno. Paul and Brandon were dragged in. She called their names, but they didn't seem to hear her. Once again she was alone with the PI.

It seemed he wanted to play games again, as he asked Alice to choose between two bets: whether Surge would be apprehended or who would win in a fight between Brandon and Paul.

"Why can't we ever have a nice chat without you immobilising me first?" she said frustratedly, trying to flex her hands, but it was no use. "What are you so afraid of?," she asked. She knew what he decision had to be already. She didn't think she could bear to see her friends fight each other right in front of her.

"I have no business with you. The police will be swarming all over this place if they aren't already," she warned. "We've already called in backup. Let us go now and we'll leave peacefully. You'll still have time to slip away," she tried to bargain with him. She didn't have time to play games!

Rose followed the others towards where they thought Meghan would be while Alice, Brandon, and Paul went off in a different direction. Again Rose didn't like the fact that they were splitting up, but didn't speak out against it. Suddenly Rose sensed something moving up ahead. As they got closer she realized that it was Meghan. Rose took off running. Meghan!" She called out. She noticed the grunts around, but didn't particularly pay any attention. Suddenly Surge stepped forward. Rose took a step back.

" Well look what we have here. I can only assume you babies have come to rescue the damsel in distress. Well let me tell you there is no point." He said. Surge's presence was intimidating, and Rose didn't say anything yet. Kyo was the first to speak up.

"Now lets be clear, babies any quick movements and your friend in the tree is toast. Load the truck with the crates." Surge warned them. Rose began to feel angry, but she was powerless to do anything. The last time something like this had happened was when they had been captured by Team Rocket in Mount Moon. When she had tried to do something about it, it backfired horribly, and she still hadn't fully convinced herself that it wasn't at least partially her fault that Max had been framed. She couldn't risk doing anything stupid at Meghan's expense. Even if Surge got away now, they would catch up with him again eventually, next time being better prepared.

"If we let you escape... Will you let Meghan go?" Rose questioned. It pained her to ask such a thing, but in the end, Meghan's safety was what mattered to her most.
