Brandon watched some Paras wonder across the path. He heard that Cerulean's gym is water, he looked Metapod, no it wouldnt be fair for him to be the only one... He gave Siipper a tap of the shoulder, to break his gaze from the bikers, he pointed to the Paras, "We are capturing one, do NOT knock out, I know I know its a grass type, but we need it ok?" Skipper sighed and nodded his head, then he walked 2 steps towards the paras, 15 feet away, to demostrste how easy it would be for him to take it, he whipped up his tail and a little ball of flame deattached from it, he took it on his finger, then pointed it at the paras, he gave a blow from his mouth, the ember shot toward the paras and hit it dead on, the little paras fell over stunned, a little black mark showed on its side. Skipper gestured for Brandon to throw the pokeball, then gave a dismissive wave toward the injuried paras and turned around to keep watching the cyclist. Brandon took a pokeball out of his bag, tossed it at the Paras.

Brandon turned around to face the cyclist right as they were talking about Max being transferred in armored tanks! Damn! Brandon said qiuetly "Max!"he suddenly got everything into his bag, took a sip of water, adjusted the strap of pack, began to walk down the path again. They had to free max! They had to! They would succeed, he would make sure of that!

Rose probably would have looked to the side out of nervousness had it not been for her blindness. She shook Marcela's hand.

Talking to one of the bikers, he explained how The league champion had been arrested, and they were going to try and see the tanks they were using to transport him with. Rose was thinking they might be able to bust him out until they mentioned the tanks. You would need Pokemon a lot stronger than what they had to take out a tank. She wanted to yell out that Max was framed, but even if she had it in her to do so, she knew it would be a stupid move.

The biker frowned.
"Yeah.. I could't believe it either. I've seen Ruby battle before and talked with him once. Didnt seem like the type of guy who would be capable of manslaughter and willful destruction of Mt. Moon. We are racing to see the transports. They will be heading down this road in fact and you should see them in a couple of hours before you reach Cerulean. The side paths through Mt.Moon is even harder for drives who have to basically go around the whole thing.." He handed over the news paper which was a little crumpled.


Rocky skimmed the paper. There was a huge picture of the Crystal Onix and another of Max in handcuff. Rocky took note a small detail. Team Rocket taking his upgrade device carrying it behind him.

In small print Rocky noticed three stories that he couldnt make out to much detail.

The biker hoped on the bike.
" Leader Misty seemed pretty upset about this..I hope she is alright." He said strapping on his helmet.
"Must be tough to see your ex like that." He jumped on waving goodbye.

Alice waved goodbye as the biker rode away. Finally, they had some useful information.

Alice thought about what they could do if Marcela called them out... Aster was nearby. Maybe he could put the girl to sleep while they made a break for Cerulean City...

Brandon having walked a little distance from the group, turned and noticed they were not following him, even though the bikers had gone away. Brandon noticed they seemed to be looking at something and discussing it, he walked over quietly to the group, waited for a break in the conversation. When he heard one he asked "What you guys and girls looking at?". Intel was important in any mission, he knew that, the more information the better.

"Pretty high actually, if you think about it logically", Rocky replied. "The authorities will be transporting Max, but Team Rocket will not want to risk the authorities getting a hold of that upgrade unit. They need to either corrupt the data on it, or replace it with false data before they let the authorities near it."

"I am not going to directly oppose the authorities of the region! Mother and Father would be most displeased if I did! But Team Rocket needs to be exposed as the criminals they are."

He looked through newspaper again. "We need to find out if they are travelling together, or if we can confront Team Rocket without the Police or Gym leaders assisting them"

Brandon walked back, "What you guys and girls looking at?" he asked.

Brandon looked the paper, trying to see if he could read it, most of the stories were cut off and seemed to have nothing to do with Max. There was only the picture... He noticed a couple of important details... 1. That his upgrade was being carried seperately by team rocket. 2. He seemed a little too relaxed in the photo, just the expression on his face... Not nervous, just relaxed. He said aloud "Team Rocket has upgrade... Never a good thing, but does anyone else feel his relaxed face and demeanor seem strange for someone getting ready to stand trial against some very serious charges?"
