Rocky rushed to pick up Speedy, fearing that he may have been hurt in the fall and tumble down the hill.

Speedy was up and running though. "Rattata, Rat Rat RAtatatatataaaa" he cried out excitedly, running circles around Chloe Rocky and the Combusken.

"No you can not do it again, Speedy! We have other things to do. What were you thinking jumping out of the tree like that? You could have been hurt."

"Rattata, Rata Rat!" said speedy pulling out the seashells and holding them out like wings.

"So why didn't you use them when you jumped out of the tree?"

"Rattata! Rat rat!" Speedy said sheepishly.

"You forgot? You jumped out of the tree and then 'forgot'? That's just ... seriously... Lets just go inside and see if this daycare has a nurse who can look after you."

An old lady came out and started talking to Chloe. It was apparently her Grandma.

"Hello, Maam! My name is Roxborough Smithwick. It is a pleasure to meet you!" he said politely.

Alice was extremely nervous watching Meg battle. Would Meg really leave one of her Pokemon with the old man if she lost? Alice couldn't imagine it... So what would happen if Meg lost? Alice would battle to defend her if necessary...

But luckily Meg managed to win. "That was awesome!" Alice said afterward. Her knuckles were white from clenching her fists so hard during the battle. The old man graciously accepted defeat, gave Meg a mega stone and shared some poke treats with the girls. When they left, he tipped them off about some interesting Pokemon. Alice wondered if he was talking about the Pichu Chloe mentioned.

Alice and Meg headed off. Meg asked what Alice thought.

"That was a great battle," Alice said admiringly. "But would you have really left one of your Pokemon there if you'd lost?" she asked.

Meghan looked at Alice. Unsure of how to answer.
" To be honest. I hadn't planned on losing." She said having a little fun.

" If I had been defeated I would have kept my part of the deal and trained until I could get the chance to battle him again. What I did was careless but if not for risking a loss I wouldn't have acquired a Mega Stone. Becoming stronger is all that matters. We will run into Dredd soon enough." Meghan said letting out a long sigh

A short walk later and the girls reached the point General Marks had spoken of. They began to trek through the tall grass looking for landmarks. When they reached the large stone pillars they could feel the hair on their arms standing up.

Meghan looked at here arm in shock.
"That's new...." she said puzzled

" Maybe no water pokemon or flying pokemon she said calling back all of her pokemon and letting Riolu jump on her shoulder.

Soon after Alice noticed the little flashes of yellow. When she moved to take a closer look one of the little pokemon jumped out.

"Piiii CHu!!!"

It sniffed in her direction then jumped back. When Alice tried to make a move it ran into the bushes. After a minute it poked its head out. At that moment other little pichus started to poke their head out.

" They look so cute...but we need a way to get them to not be afraid of us." She said trying to figure which of her team might be able to help.

She then looked to Alice to see if she had any ideas.

The elderly woman smiled
" By the looks of it, you and your partner just beat my granddaughter in a race. Careful around that one she likes to challenge unsuspecting trainers just like her grandfather.

" Please come in and join us. We can heal any of your pokemon." The woman smiled

She looked to Rose.

"You too, You join us inside to young lady." The friendly woman said to offer them a chance to join her.

As the team walked in to the daycare center they found themselves in a nice little family run business. Once stepping into through the entrance they noticed the front desk. In the room to their right were a set of PCs for making phone calls. In the room to the left of the entrance was the nurses station. After making a stop there the team was able to heal thier pokemon.

"Ill need to see those Pokedexs. I like to know how we welcome into our home. Especially if you are looking to adopt."

The air was strangely electrified. Alice felt her hair standing on end. Meg suggested they return any Pokemon that may be weak to electricity.

Alice noticed a flash of yellow and took a few steps forward. "Did you see..." she started, but it was already gone. She followed it and suddenly a Pichu jumped out, with one strange spiky ear. Alice took another step forward, but it ran off and dove into the bushes. She followed it and soon many other Pichu appeared. Alice laughed. They were playing.

" They look so cute...but we need a way to get them to not be afraid of us." Meg said trying to figure which of her team might be able to help.

"Maybe Paprika can help..." Alice suggested. She released her Raichu.

"Rai rai!" Paprika said in a high, pleasant voice. She jumped on the spot and then giggled, still getting used to her evolved form.

"Paprika, I think you might find some friends nearby," Alice grinned.

The Raichu began to look around "Rai?" she said curiously as she noticed the Pichu poking their heads out of the bushes. "Rai rai!" Paprika walked over cautiously. She then sent out a tiny bolt of electricity, which fizzled against one of the nearest Pichu. Paprika was communicating! Alice watched, enthralled. She had heard that electric types could talk in this way but had never seen it.

"Tell them we'd like to be friends," Alice said to Paprika, and the Raichu nodded.

"Hopefully this works," Alice shrugged and grinned at Meg.

The Raichu nodded taking a few playful bounds towards the little Pichus. At first the pokemon backed off running into the tall grass. Then one by one they slowly poked their heads out and started to come out to see Paprika. When Peprika let out a light thundershock it got all the electric types attention. As the group approached they sniffed the bigger electric type before finally running over and playfully engaging the pokemon.

"Tell them we'd like to be friends," Alice said to Paprika, and the Raichu nodded.

"Hopefully this works," Alice shrugged and grinned at Meg.

"Talking through electricity?" Meg said puzzled

She reached for her pokeballs and called out Volt.

" Ive never heard of that." She smiled looking down at the shy Riolu.

" You ever hear of that?" She asked but Riolu quickly turned red and backed off as his eyes met Megs.

The tired Raichu looked around.
"Raichu!" He said excited to see the little electric types. When he noticed Alice's Raichu his cheeks sparked. The two hadnt really seen each other much since their evolutions.
"Chu!" He said moving towards the female Raichu.

"Raichu" He said puffing his chest up to try and impress her. However he took a deep breath and fell on his butt. He was still very tired from the battle. After the Pichus came in to check him out. With a couple more exchanges from the Raichus to the Pichus the two lucky trainers witnessed something amazing. By the end of the conversation Alice's Raichu turned back to her trainer and let know that the pokemon were happy to see them.

After that the little pokemon rushed over and started to jump all over the trainers. After a few minutes it was time to go. Meg felt weird about trying to catch on of the pokemon. They all seemed so friendly. As both Alice and herself had Raichus they didnt need to capture another Pichu.

"Im not sure about you but I almost feel bad taking one of these little critters from their family here. What do you say we just enjoy this moment for what it is?" She smiled. She picked up Volt.
" Exciting stuff huh. We should have had them charge you!" She joked.

Alice and Meghan began to walk away when they noticed they were being followed. 3 Pichus had come with them. The pokemon stayed behind them as they headed on the path back towards the daycare center.

Meg sent out her Raichu and the two Raichu greeted each other. They had both come a long way since living in the Viridian Foest. Alice smiled to see them together again.

The Raichu managed to converse with the Pichu and soon the Pichu were excitedly jumping all over the place.

"Im not sure about you but I almost feel bad taking one of these little critters from their family here. What do you say we just enjoy this moment for what it is?" Meg suggested after they had played with the Pichu a bit.

Alice agreed, "They do seem happy here," she said. It was nice to see such friendly and carefree Pokemon after all they'd been through.

Paprika bid the Pichu farewell, and then followed the girls down the path back toward the daycare center. "We'll probably need to hit the Pokemon Center again, huh?" Alice said. Volt had looked pretty tired.

Behind them, three of the Pichu followed along. Alice didn't notice until Paprika bounded in front of the girls and pointed them out.

Alice glanced over her shoulder. "I guess they like us," she said. "or our Raichu!"

"Rai!" Paprika agreed happily. She seemed to like being around the Pichu a lot.

Alice paused for a moment so the Pichu could catch up. Paprika approached the smaller Pokemon happily. One of the Pichu nuzzled against Paprika's side.

"Would you like to come with us?" Alice asked the Pichu. She held out a Pokeball.

"Rai rai!" Paprika let out a short spark of electricity, which the Pichu next to her returned. The Pichu then ran over and tapped the Pokeball with its tail.

Rocky took Speedy to get him checked out after his leap from the tree high above the Daycare center. Hopefully this woudl teach the adventurous Ratatta to settle down with his crazy schemes.

Nothing! Not a thing was a wrong with speedy, not even a bruise! The happy rattata smiled as he planned his next adventure.

Rocky handed over his Pokedex be checked.

"Here you go 39 Pokemon in total. 27 first evolution. 4 second evolution, and 7 fully evolved. Hang on that only makes 38... Let me check again" *Note: I miscounted in real life... heading back to the Pokebank page!*

Rocky checked the numbers again. "Oops no it is 8 fully evolved. I would love to adopt any Pokemon who are looking for a trainer. Do have any abandoned Weedle by any chance?"

The elderly lady looked at Rocky and Rose as they walked in with her granddaughter. As she checked both of their Pokedex she smiled.
" You two have been active like the last two young ladies that came through here. You have pokemon from all over the globe. How amazing."

When Rocky asked about Weedle her face turned red.

"You're not going to believe this but we are all out. I adopted out the last one two days ago. Here on the island not many people come searching for pokemon common on the mainland. I have only ever seen weedles near the caves by the cost. After they transform they tend to migrate to the other islands."

" I do however have an abundance of these which I am willing to part with based on your hard work. What do you say?" She said walking into a room with different egg and picking one up carefully to hand it over.

Alice and Meghan walked back towards the daycare center only to find they had pokemon following them. After watching Alice capture one, Meghan turned her focus to Volt.
" It looks like they want to come with." She smiled

Volt jumped down out of her arms.
"Raichu!!" It called out.

The two remaining Pichu came up and sniffed the bigger male. One of them didn't seem interested but the other curiously let out a tiny electric bolt.
"CHUUU" The little girl said

Meghan knew that this one would be a good choice. Having Volt help train her would give her a heads up in future battles.
"Well then." she said pulling a pokeball from her bag.

"Would you like to join us?"

He put it in his backpack nestled next to the mysterious egg that he had found after helping to defeat Surge.

"Excuse me, Maam! I was wondering of you could tell me anything about this egg that I found after defeating Lieutenant Surge. I have been carrying it for some time, but I do not know what might be inside. Do you have any way to identify it?"

Just as he was asking about the mystery egg, Rocky saw Meg and Alice arrive.

"Hey, Rose it's Alice and Meg! Welcome back. Thanks for taking care of my infected Pokemon Alice. Good to see you again, Meg. Did you find any sign of how we arrived here? I won a Pokemon Race!" he finished proudly.

"Ooh... wait a minute... Chloe! You said you had a secret for me, if I won the race. Time to pay up!"

As Brandon and Skipper watched the other pokemon play, Brandon began to get hungry and starting rummaging through his pack to find some of the beef jerky he had stowed away with granola bars and other small food and snack items. Right as he found them and pulled the bag of jerky out of his pack, he caught the corner of his journal. He had not written in it in awhile, he pulled the journal out of his pack with jerky and began to read through the entries. The entries really made him see just how far he, his pokemon and the group had come in such a short time. While much had happened on their relatively small journey so far, they all had still perserved and all formed a wonderful bond with their pokemon and that was the most precious thing of all. As Brandon finished reading the last entry in the journal, he took a bite of a piece of jerky and took another sip of water. Once Brandon finished reading the entries in the journal, he put the journal and the bag of beef jerky back in his pack. He reached into the key items section of his pack, where he kept his trainer card, map, pokedex and other esstential items and pulled out his trainer card and the map.

As Brandon looked over his trainer card, he felt badges clipped on the back of it, they had a full 3 gym badges already. That was amazing, really amazing. Brandon turned to Skipper who was half scanning the area and half watching the pokemon playing and said "Skipper? Do you think we could make it past the elite 4 and become the champion someday? Be just like how Max?" Skipper turned to his trainer and gave a confident nod. "Yeah I think we can too buddy". Brandon put the trainer card back and looked at the map he had, he opened it up, saying as he did so "We should probably start trying to find the others, its been almost a whole night and morning and still no sign of them. I wonder if this island is on this map. Brandon scanned the map closely and managed to find the island on the map. But it was too small to see much detail on. Brandon then looked at his poketch and started fiddling with it, saying to himself as he did so "Surely there must be a map app in this thing somewhere". Finally after fiddling with it for a few seconds, he found a map app and clicked on the icon. A map of the region pulled up similar to the paper one. He found the small island on the poketch map and tapped on it very carefully. The map zoomed into the island showing it in greater detail. As Brandon scanned the app he thought to himself "Now if I was Alice and Meghan, where would I head to from here?" Brandon noticed a pokemon daycare about 10 to 15 minutes from the pokemon center. Brandon figured it would be worth checking out. He told Skipper "In about 20 minutes we are going to pack up and head for the pokemon daycare. With a little luck, maybe we will find the others". Skipper nodded and was about to stand up to go round up the other pokemon to let them know, but Brandon stopped him "Let them play a little longer, they have earned themselves a little fun, down time. Like I said, in about 20 minutes or so we will go. Ok buddy?" Skipper nodded and as they continued to watch the pokemon play, Brandon started to pack up and get ready to go. He figured out how to mark the daycare on the map as their destination, which highlighted the path they should follow to get there. He was all ready to go for when they left, in the meantime, he continued to relax and watch his pokemon play.
