Did you know that the very first Pokémon games were launched in Japan back in February 26th, 1996? Even if you didn’t know (but now you do!), there’s plenty of great ways to get in on the action of Pokémon Day. It starts with the #PokemonDay social hub, where there’s already a gallery of Pokémon photos and you can add your own as well. But there’s even more going on beyond that!
- In Pokémon Go, every Pikachu encountered in the wild will be wearing a festive party hat! And they keep them even after the event is over!
- Four new figures, Eevee, Mew, Magikarp, and Pikachu, will be added to the Pokémon Center figures collection. And this will be your first time to get your hands on them!
- For a limited time, you can watch all of Pokémon: The First Movie, Pokémon 4Ever, and Pokémon – Zoroark: Master of Illusions on Pokémon TV at Pokemon.com and on the Pokémon TV mobile apps. They won’t be around forever, so if you haven’t seen them yet, now’s your golden opportunity!
- The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online will be offering extra Trainer Tokens as rewards for the Bonus Wheel! And these will be available for the entire week leading up to the 27th.
- You can get Bottle Cap codes at your local GameStop store for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which boost the individual strength of one of your Pokémon’s stats for Hyper Training.
- The release of the new Pikachu Yellow Edition Nintendo 3DS XL will be released just a few days before Pokémon Day, so if you’re a Pikachu fan, don’t wait!
- In case Pokémon TV’s movies weren’t enough for you, you can also find Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion on the Mechanical Marvel on ITunes Store, Google Play, and Amazon Video on February 27th.
- Pokémon Shuffle will be offering new promotions and opportunities in response to Pokémon day. Keep a watch out for notifications to come!
- And lastly, head to twitch.tv/Pokemon for non-stop Pokémon competitions from the TCG, games, and Pokkén Tournament.
From all your pals at PXR, have a fantastic Pokémon Day with many more to come!
