A new figure and a new challenge awaits!
The latest special gym cup, the Fire Gym Cup, has begun in Pokémon Duel! Players battle head to head in an attempt to rack up a win streak for Gym Boosters and other special rewards. The event lasts from May 24 until May 28, 7:59 (UTC) or 3:59 (EST).
Players can rack up a win streak up to a maximum of 11 straight wins to improve your Gym Boosters. Once achieving 11 straight win, players will not be allowed to take on anymore duels until they redeem their booster. Players can also spend gems to maintain their win streak. Players can also receive one of five different trophies based on how they place.
The active gym effects are as follows: Fire-type figures will receive +1 MP of up to 3 MP during a duel. Thus 4 MP is not achievable with these bonuses even if your figure has a special ability. In addition, Rock-type gold and white attacks get +20 on the damage counters, making them some heavy hitters.
In addition, the figure [R] Heat Rotom is now appearing in Fire Gym Cup Gym Boosters. The higher a player’s win streak the easier to obtain it through the boosters. Alternatively, players that achieve fifteen wins will automatically receive Heat Rotom.
Lastly, a new plate has also been added to the plate store. The “Microwave Oven” plate allows players to change their Rotom in any of its forms and change it to its Heat Rotom form. In addition, it removes the frozen condition from all Pokémon and turns all Pokémon into Fire-types for 9 turns. Considering that at 10 wins players receive a regular form rotom, this does not sound like a bad deal at all!
