Yep. I started with Blue at seventeen, which is funny because it was mostly seen as a kid's game so even at seventeen, it was unusual to be playing that game whereas now, it's perfectly normal. Around the time Pokemon Yellow came out, I had gotten sick of Pokemon and wanted nothing to do with it. I remember it being absolutely everywhere and you couldn't go out of the house without running into it whether you liked it or not. I forget what exactly got me back into it (probably Gold version, I loved that game like crazy), but I haven't left it since.

Senior year of high school was the best. Classes were more relaxed, your SATs were done for better or for worse, and your college applications were done and you were basically just wrapping up high school.
I started around that age as well and when i was 16 I didnt play pokemon because I thought it was for kids..lol. Then a year later a friend finally got me to try it out and here we are.
