    Most expensive purchase/cost?

I'm about to buy a car, which will cost me $2,000 upfront and another $1,000 in roadworthy/rego stuff, which isn't too bad! But it is the most expensive thing I've spent money on. xD

Aside from that, I saved my bird's life with $500, which I had to dish out when I wasn't employed...so that really bit me in the butt. Especially since she's not really mine, and it was more like nobody else was willing to dish it out to save her. So I had to. Lel. SHE'S LUCKY I LOVE HER.

What's the most amount of money you've spent on a single purchase (or cost)?

My 2009 Dodge Challenger cost me exactly $24,615, but that doesn't look so bad when I compare that to my MBA cost, which hit me for about $50,000 after adding up cost per credit, parking passes, travel expenses, fees, and all that other stuff.

It's amazing I'm not in debt at the moment... @.@

Yep, college expenses in the US are BRUTAL. It's the reason why there's such a huge student loan debt crisis right now in the states.

And yeah, I wouldn't have gotten my MBA if it would have put me into debt. The sad thing is I haven't taken on a new position that requires an MBA since I got it. So right now, all that kind of got wasted.

At least the Challenger sees plenty of use. I like that car. :D

Yeah, sounds like it. To be fair, I've never had a full time job, which explains my lack of savings. xD And wow, it sounds terrible. We don't have to pay anything upfront if we don't want to, but it doesn't mean I'm not in debt lol. But you only have to pay it once you start earning a certain amount per year. And hey, owing to the government is better than owing to the mafia!

I think you more than like it. ;) *remembers last year's WAR prompt*

I've bought a house. Admittedly, jointly, and I have a mortgage. But still.

I won't specify the actual cost for reasons, but it's not far below Ł200,000.

I also have about Ł35,000 in student loan debt.

But actual tangible assets that also aren't buildings... Around Ł800 on my desktop earlier this year, I believe.

I spent $1000 to fix up my car a couple weeks ago. And like the day before that, I had to pay over $600 for registration. Lame! I had never spent over $800 on my debit card before apparently cos that was the limit when I tried paying for my car so I had to get my mum to come down with the rest haha.

I think I owe about $30,000 for my uni degree xD but eh not paying that back til I have a full time job.

Biggest purchase for an actual thing would be plane tickets to the US at about $1200 as well as the laptop I bought last year which came to like $1400 but $400 of it was a birthday/Christmas present.

YES, I REALLY like that car. You said it! XD

In the meantime, I hope you get that fulltime job you're looking for. Whoever hires you is truly blessed, they would be lucky to have someone encouraging and positively spirited as you.

College was also my biggest purchase but beyond that Ive dished out about a grand for a couple of things in the last couple of months and those felt like huge purchases for me.

@Pokemon Trainer Sarah , You spent $1400 on a LAPTOP!?!

Was thing a super computer? Lol

I work in retail and sell laptops for a living at Walmart and I dont think our most expensive one goes above 600 bucks and those babies will do just any job the average person needs it to do. $1200 seems like alot of money for laptop, so either this thing is extremelly advanced, or someone or someplace over charged for it (reminds me of a company by the name of Apple lol) and ya bought it lol.

Anyway, the most expensive thing I bought was vehicle off craigslist that ran very well for 2 and a half days, until it had some sort of electrical fire (or so we believe anyway, no way to ever find out for sure) and caught fire. So yeah for 2 days it was the best investment ever, but then it became the worst investment ever in the snap of a finger. Know I was very mad about the money wasted on this 'looked like an extremelly good car' that caught fire. I felt like I may as well took a pile of the cash and struck a match to it. That was esstenially how it felt. Lol

On the bright side though, no one was hurt or killed in the fire so thats always a plus. ;)

Now back to driving my dads hyaundi. Lol
