I don't know why anyone likes me anymore.

Nowadays I don't really have any friends so I'm trying to make some. I think the reason I can't is just cause I come off as a jerk. And I think there's some truth to that.

Life's getting extremely boring. I don't really have fun with things as much anymore. I ate one meal today, and I usually eat more than I should. I think my mental health is deteriorating. And at this point, maybe I deserve it.

I don't think anyone 'deserves' bad things, unless maybe they intentionally do things to hurt others, which it doesn't sound like you're doing. I also have problems making friends, so...we're in the same boat. XD As for not having fun with things, maybe try learning a new hobby? Or just trying to do something fun for a while, and if that doesn't work, try another thing? I'm sure your motivation will come back, sometimes it just takes some work and time.

Poor Eric-saur. :/ I'm sorry to hear that you can't make friends, that your life is getting boring, that you don't have fun with things as much anymore, that you're having eating issues and that your mental health is deteriorating.
You're definitely not a jerk. The people who call you a jerk are the real jerks. You're a kind and supportive friend, you're an awesome PXR member, you're a great Pokemon player and a great Cards Against Humanity player, and you're also a very talented person, as you proved it during the PXR Winter Carnival and PXFIRE. :)
It's also difficult for me to make new friends, but it's easier for me to make friends online than in real life. Good luck with making new friends. I hope you will be able to make some friends soon.
Have you been shiny hunting lately? The PXRSH will be over in a few days and finding another shiny might help you feel better, especially if you find it before the PXRSH ends.
You don't deserve to suffer, Eric. I really hope you will get better soon. I wish I could help you. I'm here for you if you need me.

So for the first time today my car didn't start. After work, I drove home, showered, spent an hour there, then a mate came around, and we went to the shops.

We got the stuff we were after then went to go home and the car wouldn't start. A few minutes later I got it going, but it wasn't good.

I'm gonna get my mate to look at it, but I really hope it is just a once off thing, or at least something cheap and easy to fix.

Today I intended to work from home because yesterday, when I wanted to drive to my friend's house, the car was dead. Again. Turns out the shop recharging the battery wasn't a good long term solution. Something's draining it and they never figured it out. Welp, that just got thrown on my list of crap I need to get taken care of.

So I work from home, everything seems okay, but then the senior director asks me where I am. Turns out he's looking for me and wants to have a one-on-one meeting, which doesn't sound good. There was no posting or advance notice of this at all. I just told him all the details about the car, but I don't get it. When I'm actually at my desk, he NEVER comes around. So why on a day when I can't drive to work because I don't have a working car? It doesn't seem very positive and I'm half-thinking there's a chance they may be letting me go, even though I only just started and haven't really had a chance to get into doing stuff for them. Only one person has made it clear what she wants and I've been trying to do my best to work with her. She's been pretty good for guidance, but right now, it seems like she would honestly be the only one that vouches for me.

Later on in the day, I realize I have a meeting today at 2:30 and the team lead is onsite, one of the very few days she's able to come before she's always working remotely. Well, crap, and there's no dial-in number. So either I get my butt to the office or I miss the meeting entirely. So I quickly rush to get dressed in my office clothes, and I end up having to drive the minivan for this meeting. Which goes well into overtime. I usually leave at 3pm every day, and today I left at 4:30pm. Traffic on the way home was abysmal, too. This is usually why I come into work as early as 7am.

My dad and I jump my car once I get home, and drive it to the shop again to get it fixed up. Well boo, turns out the shop can't look into it until Friday because they're backed up. So I try to drive it back, but traffic is so intense that I need to take the long route home. We went to Friday's for dinner, but it took longer than usual, traffic was horrible on the way there, and when I finally get home, I immediately have to jump to clean the cage for my bunnies, because it's already getting late and I still need to take out the trash.

Still, I'm a little worried about this one-on-one meeting the director wants to have tomorrow. I've tried to be as honest and as transparent as possible, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough. If they let me go, eh, that sucks, but it's not the end of the world. I'll try to find a way to get something else. I've bounced back from way worse than this, but it would be disappointing.

That’s terrible, Neo. This osnfornyour new job too huh? If they have a plan for workin at home and they’re okay with it. I don’t see what the problem is. Hopefully the meeting goes well and it’s nothing super serious. Bad things like that always seem to happen only on days you don’t show up. I don’t get it. That along with all the crap going on outside of that (traffic, dead car battery, etc) it’s just like spouts of bad luck. Hopefully it all passes over and gets better soon. It may not really help much, but we’re all wishing you the best and here if you just need to vent.

Terrible to hear about the car too. I don’t know much about cars myself so I’m pretty clueless to that stuff xD. Hopefully it’s a simple fix.

Yeah, thankfully that one-on-one meeting wasn't so bad and nothing tragic happened. I think he just wanted to know what was going on and next time to email him if this kind of thing happens again. So it seems okay. Thankfully he didn't seem angry, just more on the side of wanting to know what's going on. I also informed him about this situation with the car and he seemed understanding about that. I think it was really because this is the only week the project lead is on site and he felt it was important for me to meet with her and get together with her regarding this whole project, which is understandable. And we did meet both yesterday and today, so things seem to be bouncing back just fine as far as that goes.

And thanks, but lately I've been on a bad luck streak. You know that GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card I just got? Well, I got the finally got the cable... BUT... it was just an extender, not something that will link the card with the power supply on its own. I found this out the hard way, of course. WEEEE! So I had to take out the GTX 1070 card out AGAIN, put in the sluggish old ones again that run Overwatch like a 160-year-old grandma, order a new cable which I seriously HOPE is the right thing this time (looks like it, but geez), wait until the 24TH to get it, and hope everything works when it comes. In the meantime, the GTX 1070 card gets to spend another week in the box. Yippie-yay. Not.

While I wait, maybe I'll draw an Emolga shooting up a swarm of demons and zombies.

That's good news! Glad to hear it wasn't all that bad. When project leads or someone major from the company or business is on site. Usually they want everyone there and everything is all formal business. Like how at my work. Whenever the guy comes in to check or do inspections. They don't allow certain things like sodas, being untucked, they expect you to say and mention certain things. You know, like the usual things you'd hear from a cashier at a place like that asking if you wanna sign up for a rewards card/credit card with them. Save this much money on such and such. Then the survey. That whole spiel. At least they understand your situation and all is looking better.

Yikes, hate it when that happens. Were you able to at least return it and get your money back? Hopefully the new one you ordered actually IS the right one for sure. Ah, I'm sure it'll all be worth it once you get it. Make any gaming you do sooooo much better.

Sounds like a perfect idea though! Get some pent out rage out Emolga style xD.

I'm... actually going to keep this cable for now. Because it would be just my luck that I return it for four dollars, the new cable comes in, and it's exactly what I needed, but it's just not long enough and that extension cable would have been the solution. XD

I hope your meeting goes alright tomorrow! Is this a new job (you said you just started?)? If they wanna get rid of you so quickly that's not a reflection on you at all. I hope it works out and is justa dumb meeting about something unimportant! That's so annoying about your car, too. My battery died a couple weeks ago andi haven't gotten around to replacing it, but I get the train to work so i don't really use it during the week anyway.
