Yummy! Did Kas get to bring home leftovers and stuff? That seems like the best part of working in a restaurant! xD I like naan! And garlic! I love lentils too! My bf is veggie so I've been eating mostly veggie stuff and we tried to make lentil curry a while ago. It wasn't that good xDD gotta get the spices right haha. I really need to try noodles soon! Sounds yum!

Haha not exactly; she got a free meal each shift. :] Her boss was super stingey though so she didn't get a discount if she ever went in... XD She just got one free meal per shift. Which is still good! Usually she gave it to me because she was sick of getting Chinese for four years, haha. Oh that's awesome! 8D Yeah I don't eat animal products so I've had my fair share of lentils and I loooove them. And haha, yep, it's so hard to get the balance right sometimes. Mostly I just throw everything I can think of in a pot and cook it with a few spices. Found out the hard way that cajun spice makes me vomit. e_e

Yeah it was. B) Exactly. xD For some reason it started to disagree with me as well so I stopped having it by the end, haha. Yeah I know. D: Even the smell brings back bad memories... xD Whenever I went to go stay with my brother, for some reason I'd be horridly ill. It took me, like, three goes to finally figure it out (because I got sick at home, too) and then it all made sense. I also avoided cajun like the plague.

OOH, Kas' family used to do that too. xD Sooo much bread all the time. But then her mum got sick of it so they stopped because it's surprisingly difficult to find people who need all that bread. xD

I've worked at a few restaurants when I was younger, one was a sushi place when I was 16, I worked the dinner to closing shift so we were pretty much expected to eat before work. My buddy who was the dishwasher would eat some of the leftover sushi though LOL. The summer after I graduated high school I bussed at this little Italian spot, called Franco's Cafe, amazing food, especially since I love Italian, I got free lunch, or 50% off some of the fancier stuff. It was a pretty cool job, sometimes if it was a slow lunch, the cooks would ask me if I wanted to help prep for the dinner rush, I learned a lot about cooking that summer.

I also heard that if you work at starbucks you get a free lb of coffee every month.

Speaking of food, Is Fat Tuesday a major thing where everyone's at? There's a pretty large amount of Polish here and because of that most of the bakery's make these things called paczki (pronounced pawnchki) on fat Tuesday (Feb 28th this year) One of the best days of the year for my fat face XD
