Oh man, that sucks Gem! I haven't owned a console since the Wii but I would probably not even think about backing stuff up ever. :/ Did you have to replace your PS4 or it just crashed and wiped your progress? :(

I think you should look into the switch. Nintendo is taking it pretty seriously.

I like the Switch and I will very likely get it, but for some reason, I couldn't really get behind the Wii-U. I kind of felt the Wii was a bit on the disappointing side. All the games I was interested in, like first person shooters, RPGs, and more mature titles would always be a PC/XBox 360/PS3 release, but never on the Wii except in a few rare circumstances. That lack of third party support was kind of a deal-breaker for me.

I feel better vibes from the Nintendo Switch, though. Something about it just "feels right" to me even though I can't really explain it.

The feeling of missing out on the latest Smash Bros game was the worst. Not to mention I saw videos of Mario Kart 8 while at Gamestop and I was crying inside. I came quite close to buying a Wii-U, but when I heard about the "NX," I just decided to wait it out.

Unfortunately, we live in a very "pick and choose" kind of world. I don't have intentions to get an XBox One or a PS4, so I think I might go with the Switch.

Its a 100 dollars cheaper than the other systems. It also has a mobility that no other full system comes close to getting to. Nintendo is pushing the limits on what you can do and how usable a system can be. The other companies have made great strides in graphics but the systems like 350 or 400 dollars. Thats a lot.

@Neo Emolga The switch pre releases by me sold out the same day. I havent seen the trailer for the game yet but its my favorite games series out there.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks pretty insane. I've been badly out of the loop when it comes to LoZ games, but this one looks incredible.

I imagine there will be something big coming for pokemon. Another poketekken should be coming.

I heard they were working on 80 titles. You can connect up to 8 switches together for multiple player. There's no doubt in my mind a new smash bros isnt coming out.
