Hello everyone!

My name is Absol. I moderate at a couple other Pokemon related forums and am an ex Moderator/GM from a Pokemon MMO. I throughly enjoy reading and posting on Pokemon forums so I decided to make an account here as well!

I am currently a student doing an honours in biology as well as a research assistant for the federal government of my country as well as my university. I work with plants at the moment but have worked in entomology in the past as well. I have a lot of interest in animals as well, specifically behavioural biology and political ecology. Almost anything science related interests me though on a personal level!

I love creating banners and signatures as well as sketching and drawing with my tablet. I use programs such as Photoshop CS6, GIMP and SketchBook Express when creating art. I also enjoy browsing DeviantArt and tumblr for interesting work of art, and enjoy checking out art showcases/shops on various forums.

Wow, awesome. I am super jealous of you! What sort of animals do you work with? And what type of research with genetics?

Right now I am working to develop an easy method of detecting stress in strawberry plants related to a two component virus compound that has been affecting local agriculture in my province. I've been doing a lot of literature research and monitoring infected plants to get a good idea of what the symptoms and stress levels could be when they're infected. I have not started my legitimate trials yet but that should be happening soon. I've done a lot of independent and assistant research under a biologist for the past four or so years so I've had a lot of experience with research and I love it! I can't image doing anything else. :)

Haha no worries! Science is not for everyone. Math is pretty interesting as well, I use stats often for my work and I am educated up until university calculus but most math (besides stats) takes me at least twice as long to understand as anyone else able to do math at that level.

That's awesome, good luck with your admission into the college. I posted a bit of my graphics art above but I will most likely create an artshop/showcase here for people to enjoy and request from so you can probably see more of my art that way. I'll leave you with a couple doodles here though!

I prefer doing commissions (I'll admit I'm greedy), but an art show would be a good idea.
