Max bent over putting his hands on his knees taking a breath. As he got back up he was greeted by Sou and Zenith. In response to what Sou said.
"We have to retreat to get these people out of here. I realize that means we give whomever is doing this a chance to regroup but we can not go into battle with no pokemon.." He paused

"Lets get the people out of here now." He said still focused.

"Thanks." He said walking with the two trainers.
"That wasnt the ideal situation I wanted to put myself or my team in. Please avoid doing something that foolish." He said hoping they wouldnt ever put themselves at risk like that.

" I had to catch that Nidoking, I realize now that it is potentially a danger to us all..but I had to take it out of play." He paused trying to make a joke out of it looking at Zenith.

"I battled tougher pokemon in my sleep." He said with sarcastic uncertain laugh.

Orion and Ethan joined them with the trainers they helped. It took almost fourty minutes to get back to the pokemon center. Max made sure all the trainers were safe before finally taking his pokemon in to get healed.

Sou nodded as Max suggested they retreat and help any trainer’s still in the cave out of here. It was true that doing so might give those responsible a chance to get away, but it would be essentially suicide to continue with their pokemon as they were. ”Alright” she said and walked alongside the group to head back to the pokemon center. As they walked, Sou found her mind questioning all the things she had seen and experience that day. ”I wonder….what happened to that Igglybuff…is it okay? Was it affected by the sound waves too and driven into a similar state as the other pokemon? Did it attack and hurt someone? or was it hurt itself?” she pondered before looking at Max. He didn’t want to put himself in that position against those two back there, but did even though he was fully aware he might lose and possibly get hurt. He did it to protect the other trainers and pokemon alike, at least, thats what she thought as he asked them to hopefully avoid doing something that foolish. ”Well..you never know what the future holds you know?” she said.

Eventually they met up with the other two, Ethan and Orion along with the trainers they had helped, smiling as the two girls from before appeared to be safe. It did feel pretty amazing to be traveling in such a large group, despite everything that happened. It would definitely become a memory she doubt she’d ever forget, especially when she recalled back to the point where she had almost given in to her fear. A lesson. Thats what it felt like for her. Sou clenched her fists a tiny bit before letting them relax, walking along with the group for a little more then half an hour until they finally arrived at the pokemon center. Sou unchecked her poke balls, looking at all of them in her hands, a small smile on her face. “Thanks guys, you were amazing back there” she said before handing her poke balls over to nurse Joy. Her pokemon needed this rest after such a ordeal, not only because it was well-deserved but because they’d probably need all their strength for whatever was ahead of them.

While she waited, she moved to sit on one of the coaches that lined the center, letting out a sigh as she did so. It felt good to finally relax a bit, closing her eyes to let herself rest for a bit, at least until her pokemon were well and rested up.

Zenith nodded in agreement with Max's suggestion to help get the other people out of the cave and head back to the Pokemon Center to heal their pokemon. "Yeah, let's go, we're sitting ducks like this," she said.

They all headed out of the cave and guided the people they had saved to the Pokemon Center. Zenith handed her pokemon over to the nurse and sat down at one of the tables. She took out her journal and began to write in it. Once she finished writing she put her journal away and sighed heavily. All of that battling had taken a toll on her, and she needed to collect herself. While she hated the idea of having to come back, Zenith knew it was necessary. It would have been suicide to continue with her pokemon in the condition they were in. She had to start realizing what her limits were, and continuing in the condition she was in would have been craziness. It was better to retreat, regroup and recollect themselves. Taking the time to formulate a plan was the better course of action at the moment.

"What do we do now, Max?" Zenith asked. "Because of this 'retreat', it'll take time to catch up to those key thieves. How are we going to catch up to them?"

Sou shortly walked over to pick up her team when she was called, smiling as she looked at her pokemon. ”Feeling all better guys?” she asked with a smile when the twins from earlier came over to her. She smiled at their compliments, blushing a bit even at the second one. ”well, Thanks a lot girls. I’m glad you’re safe.” she said as they handed her a Chesto Berry in thanks. ”Oh? A berry? thanks a lot! I appreciate it. You two be safe for now on okay? I’m sure you’ll grow into some awesome trainers one day” she said, her face bright with her usual smile. She gently took the Chesto Berry and placed it into a pouch and after waving the girls off she looked to Zenith and the others. ”So now what?” she asked as she snapped her poke balls to her belt.

Max walked out of the pokemon center while the others had greet the trainers they had saved. He stretched out his arm which was still swore from the attacks. Lila and Chunk stayed with me. Resting when he found a park bench to sit down at. The sun was starting to set and Max just enjoyed the view of the forming color behind the Mountains backdrop. As he sat there a young trainer with a green hat came up to him sitting down at the bench. He looked over at Max then looked out at the tall grass.Max looked over curious by the young trainer.
"Excuse me mr...if I give a berry can I play with your pokemon." He said

Max looked over.
"Im not going to be here long..so you better hurry up. Also keep your berry kid. Lila and Chunk love playing." Max said letting them play before the others were out. After a few minutes Zenith joined him asking about the artifact.
"Honestly, we do what we can. We can't use the air as advantage and even if we had a teleporter that would be to risky with the winding tunnels." Max said still watching his pokemon play.

"Lets just get everyone together and go in together. We can pick up the pace now that we know the route. However we need to avoid running head first into a trap. The pokemon in the tunnel are in a fragile state. Not sure I want to risky my life again before I get a proper dinner in my belly he smiled."

Sou joined them. Max looked at the new trainer.
"Sorry if this is more than you signed up for. We seem to attract this kind of attention."

Orion stood near the others but pretended not to to care.
"and you guys are doing such an amazing job thus far.." He said sarcastically. Calling out his new zubat.


Max's nudged Sou.
"You friend is back.." He smiled

"And its not alone..."


As sou got a better look at the little pokemon who had been following her. She noticed it was slightly different.

Zenith's stomach growled at the mention of food, and she grimaced. "Dinner sounds great right now. I could definitely go for a bite to eat right now before heading back into the mountain."

Sou then joined them, as did Orion.

A few minutes later, a group of Igglybuff appeared in front of the group and began to interact with everyone.

Zenith noticed that a shiny Igglybuff went over to Sou. Apparently that was the same Igglybuff she had been playing with when they first met her. Zenith was somewhat jealous; she had never seen a shiny pokemon of any kind in her life, and to see one now amazed her.

"Iggly!" said one of the Igglybuff as it walked up to Zenith, smiling widely.

Zenith smiled at the Igglybuff and knelt down, slowly reaching out a hand to it. "Hey there, Igglybuff."

The Igglybuff smiled and let Zenith pet it. It then got a determined look on its face and jumped away a bit. "Iggy, Igglybuff!" it said.

Zenith grinned. "So you wanna battle, huh? Alright then! And while I'm at it, I'll add you to the team!" She then grabbed Kamau's Poke Ball and threw it. "Alright, Kamau, let's do this!"

Kamau appeared in a flash of light and got into a fighting stance.

Once the Igglybuff was weakened, Zenith threw a Poke Ball, and the pokemon was sucked inside. The ball shook three times, and then PING! Igglybuff was caught. The Poke Ball containing the newly-caught pokemon vanished as it was put into the PC. Zenith then decided to check her pokemon's stats, and saw that some of them had gotten stronger.

Zenith smiled. That's good, at least now I might stand more of a chance once we go back in... she thought. She wanted to bring out her female Nidoran and new Igglybuff, but they were much weaker than her current team. She would have to switch them out after they finished their business in Mount Moon when she had more time to interact with them and train with them.

Sou chuckled a bit as Max apologized and mentioned about them attracted this kind of attention. ”I do have to admit, it is a lot more then I bargained for. I don’t know much about your mission for this artifact an at most I figured we’d corner some kind of common their, take him out, get the artifact, mission accomplished. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine we’d run into a situation as insane as that was. But by the way you worded that….is this…common to happen to you guys?” she asked with a slightly concerned look.

While she knew she’d come across all sorts of experiences on this journey, and knew there would be an element of danger, she didn’t think she’d slam headfirst into it. They had managed to get out all in one piece thankfully, but who knew what laid ahead of them. She had even gotten a new partner and her pokemon had gotten stronger but….what would have happened if she had stumbled in there alone? If she hadn’t accepted their proposal before she wandered into that chaos. Would she…..would she had ended up saved by these guys or worse? That last battle, Max had barely won, what would have happened when they fought those waves earlier with one less person? Sou shook her head. There was no point in dwelling too much on it, when Orion came over and commented on the situation. She frowned but blinked as she was nudged a bit by Max. "You friend is back.." Max said with a smile, commenting that it wasn’t alone as she turned to face the direction he had indicated.


Sou gasped. ”Its that Igglybuff!….and its friends?” she said as she got a better look at it. Had it been following her this entire time? Besides that, it seemed to be healthy. She sighed a bit in relief. ”Thank goodness it was alright….I guess it didn’t get caught up in that mess in the cave…” she whispered. As she looked at it again, she noticed it was different from other its pals. ”Why is it colored differently..?” she whispered, watching as it puffed its body up, a determined look on its face. ”Puff! Igggllyyy~!” it exclaimed. Sou smiled as she unclipped a poke ball from her belt. ”So you wanna battle. Alright, lets show this Igglybuff what we’re got Lyna!” she shouted, as her Kirlia appeared in front of her, twirling before letting out a cry. ”Kir!” it cried, Sou pointing over at the Igglybuff. ”Go! Use confusion Lyna!” she shouted.

Sou watched intently as the ball clicked a total of 3 times before stopping, a big smile on her face. She walked over, picking up the poke ball before it disappeared to go to the PC inside the pokemon center. ”I’ll be right back guys!” she called as she turned and ran back to the pokemon center nearby while everyone seemed to handle an Igglybuff each. In fact, it seemed Zenith had captured one as well! Sou slowed down to a walk as she entered the pokemon center and sat down to go into the PC.

Max had been amazing to see the little shiny pokemon. Sou didnt really seem to excited by it being shiny she had just adored the pokemon in general. After catching one Max called to the team.

The boy returned with his partners who seemed very happy from playing with a boy that age.
