Sou had been trying to climb the stairs, but wasn’t having an easy time considering being frozen meant they were cold and slippery. But even if she got up the stairs, there wasn’t anyway for her to get past the frozen door without any fire pokemon to melt it. She sighed when she turned back around to see Max dangling in the air, shaking under the control of that pink pokemon with the crown. She looked down at the slow king from where she stood. Its eyes had been glowing before, but now they were flooding with something dark, having Max scream out something about shadows been everywhere. She didnt understand what the heck was going on, but one thing was certain then. It was that Max apparently wasn’t going to get out of this unscathed, if they got out of this situation at all. That slow king was practically moving him through the air like some kind of rag doll, yelling out about shadows and ghosts before pointing to all of them. ”Is that pink thing calling us the shadows and ghosts?” she muttered before it continued, talking about them dying before letting Max free to fall to the ground. He wasn’t moving. Great. That wasn’t good and that dragon thing wasn’t too far off of him.

Sou took a breath and then nervously exhaled as she turned to try and move down the stairs, slipping as she had lost her concentration and fell right back down to the bottom. ”ooowwwww….” she uttered with an eye closed, rubbing her own bottom a bit when she heard the same voice in her head now rather then from Max. ”This is a bit much for me now..” she muttered as she saw Kyerum now making a move to their reckless friend, making a break for it, looking towards Ethan for a second. ”Hey! Ethan! Think you can have your um..Charmeleon start trying to melt the ice on the steps and towards that door? We need to get out of her! Zenith! Help me out with Max!” she called as she headed in the direction their unconscious friend was laying. She tried her best to not look directly at the dragon as she ran, jumping to a stop as she managed to slowly lift him up onto one of her shoulders. Dont look at it! Don’t look a it!” she had to constantly tell herself to make sure she stayed awake during this whole ordeal. Zenith would be over to help her move Max faster, but she was worried about what that dragon would do. Before it fired ice beams off to trap them there, it could easily doing the same again. Oh! Max’s Charmeleon..um…Lila! I’m not your trainer…but could you go over and help Ethan’s Charmeleon with the flames please? We need to get everyone out!” she shouted, not sure if any of this was going to work, but they had to try something!

Intro for Altea

"The early bird gets the worm" echoed through her thoughts as her plain landed in the Cerulean City Airport. It had been a long 20 plus hour flight from her home to this point. She had come all the way from Sinnoh's Veilstone City. On the plan she was suprirsed to see a couple of familiar faces.

Lady Berlitz sat near the front with her champion Piplup.


Just behind a young man stuff his face full of treats.


Near by his loyal partner Munchies


Diamond smiled at Altea as he picked up the little pokemon.
"Alright big guy we need to be ready for anything here. THe tournament is months away and Region champs are bound to already have a head start." He said.

Lady Berlitz looked back for a second smiling at her rival. Diamond froze solid turning beat red. After she turned back around he slide to the floor.
" I ...am Complete..." The boy said joking laying ont he floor.


*WE will be arriving in Cerulean City in ten minutes. Please facin your seat belts and call back your pokemon.* A loud voice said.

"IF you look out the left window you will notice the Cerulean City Gym..how of the famous sisters."


Altea poked her head out. This was the home of the beautiful Misty. She had come across Misty before back home when Misty visited her city for a coordinator battle.

After getting off the plan she was on her way to Pallet. She playful jumped around calling out the shy little Citrine. To see the new region. A long cab ride later and she was finally in pallet. Istead of meeting the world famous professor Oak she was greeted by the kind of unfriendly grandson and league champ Gary oak. Ok gave her her supplies and sent her on her way. Her was about to begin as another new trainer popped open the door.

The doors burst open and an energetic but frazzled trainer Sloane burst through the door.
"Oh dont tell me Im late...." The happy yet fiesty young trainer screamed.
" I gotta gotta have a charmander..Please tell me there is one left...PPPPLLLLLEEEASSSEEE. I cant do the whole Pikachu thing..I know the early bird gets the wurmple but I came from like super far away. I mean at some point I even tried to get off the train and push it myself." Sloane said getting caught up in her rant.
Altea could only smile as she had been living with those exact same words this whole time.

Carwennan the houndour put her paw over her face embarrassed that her trainer was using her off sense of humor now. Altea's Mareep was curious by the little dark pup.

"This is Carweenan. She is a mighty poke' pup who is one day going to become a mega pokemon and help me earn the title of champion trainer and one day." She crossed her fingers.
"Become a Kimono Girl in Johto." She whispered looking around hoping not to jynx her said. When she finally slowed down she noticed another new trainer. Altea. She then noticed Blue/Gary Oak carry out a pokemon and hand it to her. Her heart sank a little..
"Is...Is ...That the last one...." She said her face changing colors.

Blue just sighed shaking his head.
"No kid...calm down.." He said walking to the back bringing out the new trainer pokedex for the pair and the basic supplies the pokeballs and potions.

With both trainers now getting their pokemon. Sloane was the first outside and called out her Charmander which she named Ascalon. The little pokemon smiled and temporarily over looked her and ran towards Vermilion Altea's charmander. The two were brothers and had someone been lucky enough to end up at the same lab.


Blue walked out letting out a scarcastic smile.
"You girls ever heard of a double egg...well your charmanders are twins. That loser Max has twin pokemon.. hopefully yours turn out smarter."

Sloane face froze as she gasped...It all came flashing back to her.


* Two days ago

Kimono Girl Zuki and the others gathered.
"Sloane, its time..." Zuki smiled

"We entered your name in for consideration for the master tournament in Kanto." She smiled

"Its a tournament for young trainers form all over the globe..New trainers will get to compete. That new trainers tournament will take place right before the Masters tournament. Which is the tournament where all former pokemon league champs will have a chance to compete with one another for the title Master League Champ. Its an honor only bestowed upon the strongest trainers and can only be entered by league champs."

Zuki paused with a big smile. An Espeon and Umbreon appeared from the back room. She had none them well. Zuki smiled bowing
"Misstress Sun and Master Moon."

Espeon gleamed in the light stretching out.
* Miss Zuki...It is time is it not? Sloane is ready. Before you send her I would ask one favor. Master Ho-Oh has a gift for Max.* Espeons words appeared in Sloane and Zuki thoughts.


Zuki had only seen the two pokemon a hand full of times. Sun and Moon or the Twins as they were called becuase they shared a very rare trait. Simes twins born in the same egg and shared an even more rare double pokeball. They belonged to the pokemon league champ Max. She had seen him a couple of times and Kimono Girls had been really found of him. Some even a little shy around the trainer. He had saved Ho-Oh years ago. Since then he has been back a few times to check on his old friend.

Zuki looked at Sloane
" Mistress Sun would like to give you a very rare chance to meet with Lord Ho-Oh....you must take this chance."

Sloane bowed and followed Sun and Moon through the city and to the now rebuilt tower. She made her way through and met with a lady with bright yellow hair. She had known the lady as Mistress Yellow. The very friendly woman lived in the toward and was the word of Ho-Oh. This woman had been blessed with the powers of the gods. She could heal people and pokemon with her hands. Sloane found herself now bowing before the shrine of Ho-Oh. As the pokemons brilliant light flooded the temple Sloane had now been blessed. Some say those who recieve its light live longer This could explain what Mistress Yellow had always looked so young. Ho-Oh smiled upon the girl and Sun and Moon. An egg appeared. Sun eyes glowed.
*This egg is a gift for Max...Ho-oh would like you to deliver this to the trainer. She would be most appreciative.*

Sloane excepted it and now was on her way to Kanto.



Today

"Sun and Moon!!! and the eggs she blurted out. "i have to find Max!" She said carefully pulling out the egg.
"Will you come with me." She asked Altea to join.

The charmanders both begged there trainers.


The two took offf and traveled through Kanto catching pokemon along the way and winning a gym badge. They went through Mt Moon...Two days past and they were not camping outside on a grassy field in the Mt Moon range. The two had set up tents and were now just talking. Altea held up a little plant. "Vermilion we need a little more light..." She smiled as Charmeleons moved its tail over the soil where the baby seed had been planted.

"Grow little guy.." Altea smiled.

everything was piece full until the ground below them started to shake. A tremor passed through the whole range. The two trainers looked around. Hearing the sound of Zubats and other pokemon rushing out of the cave. Next a bright blue light flooded out. It almost blinded them...

Vi had waited into the line for the gym battle for hours. After finally evolving Azurill she was able to take out Brock. On her way to she ran across a flood of pokemon and trainers fleeing from Mt Moon. she rushed to see what the deal was but was still limited down to a cast and crutches. After helping a few trainers out she was gifted a pokemon and an egg. She slowly made her way to Mt. Moon catching a few pokemon on the way. It was late when she finally arrived at the Mt. Moon pokemon center. As she stopped to take a rest a trainer came rushing in.

"I was in a fight. I was in way over my head," Orion confessed. "There were some other trainers too, but they didn't care about the state of their Pokemon. They are on some mission and will stop at nothing to succeed."

"Perhaps you should contact Officer Jenny," Orion suggested. "I'm sure there is some law that prevent Pokemon cruelty."

Orion rushed greatly over exaggerating the story of what was happening. (Gm does not care for cowards ;) lol )

Nurse Joy bought into calling the police. After he was done healing his pokemon. Orion did what was best for himself and just sat around waiting for the police to get there. Vi had known a couple of careless trainers and decided to investigate.

Zenith could only watch as Max was controlled by the Slowking. His body shook under the control of the Slowking.

"This creature is not what you think," Max said, though his voice had a strange tone to it.

Zenith frowned at the words. Not what we think? What does he mean by that? she thought. She was getting more scared by the minute. She was face-to-face with a legendary pokemon, and there was no way to tell what it would do still.

Things were getting worse. They needed to get Max and leave the room, but the door was covered in ice. There didn't appear to be any other way out.

"Shadows, shadows ...everywhere...." Max screamed out. "Shadows and ghosts!" Max cried out, then pointed at all of them. "You died..you all died..." Max fell to the ground unconscious.

Zenith froze at Max's last words. Died...? I died...? What is he talking about? she thought, fear spreading even more throughout her body. She shook her head frantically to refocus on the task at hand. She would have to worry about what Max had just said later.

The Slowking then fell to the ground, its own words now in their heads, "Seal the room... seal the room and kill shadow... kill the shadow," it said, also crying out in pain.

"Seal the room and kill the shadow? How do we do that, Slowking?" Zenith asked.

Kyurem then kicked up dirt, making a move towards Max.

Sou then ran toward Max as well, lifting him up and propping one his arms over her shoulders. She then asked Ethan to have his Charmeleon to melt the ice on the steps to the door, and asked Max's Charmeleon to do the same. It was then she turned to Zenith and asked her to help her carry Max.

"On it!" Zenith said, running over and propping Max's other arm over her shoulders. "This is a time where I wish my powers were stronger.... although I don't know how I'd use them in this situation..." she said.

The staircase was frozen by a god. They trainers could stay there all year and not break through the mystique ice. They had almost no room to move as Kyerum let out another Ice Beam forcing to flee from the stair back down the hall towards it. They were not trapped inside the huge room.

Sou frowned as it seemed the fire wasn’t doing anything but at least Zenith was now helping her to move Max. Things didn't look good, in fact it seemed like they only had one option at that point. ”Guys….I think…we only have one option by the looks of it. Its not like we have a choice but….we’re going to have to try and face that thing. Otherwise, we’re- no…we’re done for if we don’t try something now. “ she said as she took a breath. She laughed a low laugh, though it probably came out sounding nervous as all get out. To be honest though, she was nervous, rather terrified about their possibly only option. ”Y-You know….I….don't…do well around Dragon types….so excuse me if things seem a little…weird with me” she uttered this time, gripping one of the poke balls on her belt. She didn't have much left, but maybe it would slow it down, even if it was just for a little bit. In fact, she grabbed two of her poke balls between her fingers as she tossed her pokemon out in front of her as she carried Max with Zenith's help, further away from Kyurem. Lyna, the Kirlia and Puff, her Igglybuff came from their poke balls in flashes of white light, calling out their names. ”I know this is a lot to ask, but I need you guys to help us try to fight this thing off as impossible as it seems.” she said looking at Zenith. ”Will you fight too?” she asked

Alerted by a disturbance, Vermillion the Charmeleon turned to the West just as an intense vibration shook the camping ground. What appeared to be an entire colony of Zubat poured from the cave's entrance in chaos; their screeches were deafening.

"Eeeee what was that?!" Altea screamed over the sound of the Zubat, almost losing her balance and dropping her seedling pot were it not for the tree she had been leaning against. Just then, a blinding blue light enveloped everything around her. So much for their peaceful evening out.

"Are you alright Sloane?" She asked her traveling companion as the light faded and she regained her eyesight.

"I've never seen a horde of Zubat fly out like that. What do you suppose happened in the caves to scare the little guys so much?" Altea pondered, "How unusual for an earthquake this time of the year, all the way on Mt. Moon--" She stopped mid-sentence and let out a gasp as her face darkened. "Do you think anyone was hurt in that? Oh we've got to get help!" Vermillion growled in agreement.

"Ah but it's late huh? It might be hours before we could get back from the city with help..." She mumbled while rummaging through her bags. "Should we go take a look first? I think I have a map of the cave systems in here somewhere, though who knows what that could have done to the tunnels."

With an idea, Altea reached for a pokeball. "Cobalt, follow those Zubat. Try to ask if they saw anyone in the caves."

Cobalt swiftly flew up and disappeared into the night.

Zenith watched in shock as Sou called out her Igglybuff and Kirlia, saying that the only way out was to battle the Kyurem.

"Are you CRAZY, Sou?!" Zenith said incredulously. "Kyurem is a LEGENDARY Pokemon! We don't stand a chance!" She then sighed heavily. "But... you have a point... it's our only option."

Zenith pulled Qeb's Poke Ball off of her belt and tossed it.

Qeb appeared in a flash of light and looked around, his eyes widening as he saw Kyurem. "Ivy, Ivysaur?!" he said.

"Qeb, I really hate to ask this is of you, but... I need you to help Sou's Kirlia and Igglybuff to fight Kyurem. He's gone on a rampage and we need to stop him," Zenith said.

Qeb did not look happy to have to fight a legendary Pokemon, but he nodded and got into a fighting stance.

Just then, Zenith came to a realization. "Hey, Sou... while Max was possessed by Slowking, he said 'this creature is not what we think'. And there was something odd about Slowking; I could sense something ominous coming from it. And then he also said something about shadows. I think there might be something possessing Slowking and Kyurem. Of course, I could be completely wrong, though. We need to figure out what's going on, regardless. If only Max were awake..."

Puff seemed a bit unsure as it looked over at Kyurem. ”Igglllyyyyy…” it said as it moved behind Lyna, her Kirlia who also seemed to be unsure about this. Kiirrrr” it called as it looked back at its trainer. Sou sighed, looking down and then back up at her pokemon. ”I know..it doesn’t look good at all” she said as she heard Zenith’s comment about her being crazy. Crazy huh? To be honest, she didnt want to fight this pokemon, it was, after all, clear that this wasn’t something they could match up against. ”Trust me Zenith…..if I had a better idea, I’d suggest it and I’d much rather be out of here then in here.” she muttered as she watched her bring out her Ivysaur to help them fight. This still didnt look good. It was about then that Zenith mentioned something the Slowking had said prior to it letting Max go and fainting. She remembered. It kept saying something about killing the shadow before it became consumed by something that kind of did resemble shadows themselves. ”I think…you may be on to something Zenith….not what we think….shadows….kill the shadows…is there something we’re missing….” she muttered as she looked towards the feet of the large dragon pokemon and swallowed a bit. ”Puff! Use copycat!” she called as she looked to her Kirlia. "Lyna! Follow me and try to sense for anything unusual around here or in area behind the door!" she called as she ran around with Kirlia beside her to get a better view of the door Kyurem came from, maybe there was something else in there and just maybe...Lyna could find out what it is!

Puff, her Igglybuff was unsure but got a slight determined expression as it used copycat as it was commanded. The last move Kyurem had used was an ice beam, so Puff copied that move and fired an ice beam off at Kyurem. While this happened, Sou came to a stop when she was in clear view of the door. "Lyna!" she called as Lyna's red eyes began to glow as it focused before firing off a psychic attack.

Sloane ducked down as the Zubat flew out above her. She covered her ears, their screeches scratching at her eardrums like nails on chalkboard. Then there was that blasted blue light that nearly blinded her. Oh joy, and she was just getting her creativity flowing. With a sigh, Sloane closed her journal and looked at her traveling partner.

"Yeah. I think so. Besides my ringing eardrums I think I'm ok." Sloane answered. "I never realized Mt. Moon was on a fault line. I mean it makes sense but…" She looked up at Altea and then looked back at the gave. Her partner brought up a reasonable concern. If someone was hurt, that would be bad. In a place as remote as Mt. Moon where one could easily get lost, being injured was not a good thing.

"What do you think Carwennan?" The houndour snorted a little and then gestures towards the cave opened. She agreed, they needed to go help any people that might be trapped. Sloane put her journal into her backpack and stood up, shouldering the bag.

"I say we go in and try to help. You're right that if we make a run for Cerulean, it might be too late by the time we get back. We need to help those we can." Sloane said.

None of the trainers had ever seen anything even close to this. Max was out cold and Ethan couldn't carry him around to much longer dodging the frigid ice beams of the dragon god Kyerum. Ethan was not about to leave a trainer down but this was not working. Kyerum easily batted off the attempts by Sou and Zenith. Its attention now completely on destroying Max. The dragon moved in swiftly using a blast of energy to knock Ethan with Max against the solid rocky wall. As it prepared for a hyper beam. Zenith began to feel her breath getting more stressed. Until she let out a scream stop it! Her eyes began to glow bright white along with the tips of her fingers. She lifted up her glowing hands a beam shot out at the exact moment the Hyper Beam was ready. The beam was strong enough to knock Kyerum head off balance and save her friends. Ethan used that timing to try something he had see work in a movie. He squeezed down on the burned hand of Max. Which quickly cuase the boy to jump up. Max let out a loud scream finally back in control.
"Whats going on he said..." A little disoriented. He didnt wait for a reasponse. He tossed out Wreckers ball

"Take out the wall above it!!!" Max shout still a little off balance.



the tired Azumarill let out a hydro pump.

"Sorry Lord Kyerum ..." He said now starting to get back his composure.

Rocks began to rain down from the ceiling

The daze Slowking started to get up. Its seemed a little out of it.

@Noblejanobii @lorii - you cant really talk to pokemon in this. I try to leave that out until much later in the story when the trainer and pokemon have spent a long time with each to learn their communication.

Zubat circled around to catch up with the others and quickly came back. However the high pitch sound it made would have near impossible for her to really get. Sloane suggested heading in to check if anyone needed them. As she spoke the two girls noticed the bushes around them moving. Slowly a pokemon appeared

It spoke cautiously.
