Max walked along the northern path. He had sent Brandon down the path towards Mudkip. What he was tracking was much bigger and much more dangerous. Brandon didnt have the training yet for this. Max walked for about 10 minutes before stopping short of a clearing. He ran his hand over the torned wood. It had been sharping its pinsirs.. He followed the tracks until finally. He saw it.




Max took a few steps back. Looking at his team.
"Chunk I need you in the tree....use ice beam to start breaking the branch.." Max looked up.

"We are going to need a lot of branches..then be ready for a water gun attack when I tell you." Max helped the Mudkip into the tree and watched it slowly make it was way through.

He turned to Lila..
"Stay back..until I give you the signal for a fire spite..I dont want this thing attacking you." Max smiled. He pulled a lighter out of his bag. He moved around the trees shouting when Chunk was in position. His plan was to distract the Pinsir.


"Professor Oak's not going to be happy with you tearing apart route one.." Max said behind over and picking up a branch. Max stayed far enough back to dodge an attack but pretend almost not care or pay attention to the Pinsir.

Max kept the lighter hidden. As he circled around the pokemon. with the branch in his hand. He carefully placed it against a tree and pulled out a pokeball.
"This pokeball has your name on it did you know that." He said arrogantly trying to make the pinsir angry. " Yup, im looking at it right now..its says week pinsir form the route 1." Max kept and eye out for Chunk who had been littering the empty patch with branches.

"Lets make a deal..Im going to be put the ball down and you are going to come over here and jump in it." He placed the ball down so the Pinsir could see it.

The creature let out a cry of anger. Max quickly grabbed the big branch and charged in. He jumped back doged and swung hitting the Pinsir and just barely avoiding the creatures impressive pinsirs. After a few swings the branch out caught and finally snapped in half. Max fell backwards..
" I gotta learn to calculate there crushing force better. Download where are you when I need you !" Max said falling to the ground. He wasnt sure there were enough branches yet. So he rolled back to his feed dodging the creatures slam attack. He pulled graced some leaves off the ground and lit them up.
' Have a taste of this." he said throwing the burning leaves at the pinsir.

"Och och och"..he said quickly grabbing his hand.
"Screw it.. do it Lila." Max said running and rolling out the way of the firespin attack. He grabbed the pokeball and waited for the flames to engulf the area. At that moment Max stumbled back. His focus seemed scattered. He could see Tauros and a smoke cloud three charmanders...and it came back. The flames surrounded the pinsir the injured pokemon fainted and Max quickly threw the ball.


The flames were to much for Mudkip on its one..

Down the path Brandon had caught the pokemon. He see smoke coming from further up the path. What would he do ?

Meanwhile

Riolu nodded though it might not have the energy to take on both Kangaskhan and Tauros. It was at least ready to finish the battle Kangaskhan started. It looked to Zenith for orders.

((Wow, this is going so fast, like the first GCeA. Like wow.))

Markus had found a Pidgey ripe for the capturing just as it flew off.

Of course. His luck. He also tried to grab the Rattata but they ran off in a right hurry, leaving him with no new Pokemon. There were clear benefits in working in a group, and then there were disadvantages. This was one of them.

Max quickly rattled off all the Pokemon they were looking for, and split everyone up into groups of three. Markus quickly found the other two he was dealing with and went off.

After the slow, methodical use of Sleeping Powder to subdue a Doudo, some more...Interesting entities made themselves apparent...And a lot of stuff happened fast. He did not know exactly what happened.

"Whoaaaaa!" Markus said. "Wow, that happened fast...Or am I just slow?" Markus said, pretty much to himself.

He tried keeping clear of the Khangaskhan. It would be ugly if he got in the way. However, he kept his eyes peeled. With so many Pokemon about, there were bound to be others, perhaps lurking nearby.

As if the commotion in the North East wasnt already enough. Markus knew his pokemon wasnt enough just yet and tried to look around for something that could help me out. His eyes caught site of something if only for a brief moment. The creature blended in well with the trees and bushes.



The pokemon head poked out of the bushes to see the massive battle forming.

Markus swore he was getting slow, but then he noticed something odd, trying its hardest to not look suspicious. It wasn't terribly tall, about the size of Tsunami, hiding in the bushes and watching all the commotion.

Markus kneeled down to the Bush where he thought he saw the thing. THe less of a fight he would need to subdue it the better. "I know you're in there, you're doing quite the great job of hiding but I did see you. Come out and let's make this involve less of a beating for you..."

Markus then remembered that most Pokemon, confronted with danger, rarely turned tail.

"Or are you looking for a fight? All things considered I can happily provide you with one." He said with a smirk.

"Woah!" Alice couldn't believe her eyes as the Doduo started glowing and changed form. She hurriedly snapped some pictures. In Doduo's place stood an even more fearsome creature with three heads, each looking angry. Aster dodged away from one of the Bellsprout and cowered behind Alice at the sight.

When the Dodrio attacked the Bellsprout, Alice breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't know what she would have done it if it had come after her instead.

"We should be ready to catch those Bellsprout!" she shouted out to Tyler and Davis, while digging in her bag for an empty Pokeball.

She watched the impressive rampage of the Dodrio. She hoped it would calm down after the battle. They still had to return it to Professor Oak somehow.

He waited for a moment or so to see what it would do. Then from a couple feet over a little blue dragon jumped out. He let out a growl. Apparently i wanted to battle like all the others in the field.

This wasn't very good.

The Tauros not only shrugged the water off like one would an unpleasant shower, but it was in fact even angrier then before.

If they wanted to win, they had to be smart. Strengh; the bull had that over them, no doubt about it.

Moon tried to look around, find something that could help them, but nothing came. Well, that would be a lie...

Buneary.

But, was that really such an intelligent idea?

Markus was not familiar with Bagon, at all. He was not aware it was a Dragon Type, historically dangerous in all varieties, and he was not aware the thing evolved into Salamance, a Pokemon rather infamous for being deadly.

Markus stood up to his full height. Tsunami and the Bagon, both impressed by sheer height factor despite the fact Markus was hardly tall by human standards, quickly decided to try to out-height the other. The little Dragon type quickly proved higher by an inch, puffing out its stomach and reaching for the sky, and Tsunami tried getting higher, even trying the tips of its very tiny toes to get the edge, but the Bagon clearly won.

"Tackle it!"

If it wasn't for Markus' order, Tsunami might have came off as a sore loser, but with a chest wide-open for sending a good distance in the backwards direction, even Markus could realize the opportunity. The Bagon was caught off guard and send several steps backwards as a shell'd cretaure's shoulder collided with his stomach, but quickly recovered. This wasn't going to be like the Drowzee fight, Markus could tell.

The Bagon did a gesture quite similar to a Tauros preparing to charge but not quite ready yet, but only once-then it rushed forwards, head first, in a far more brutal attempt to get at poor Tsunami. Having it's head straight forward meant its eyes were ground-wards, unable to check if Tsunami had moved away.

"Get out of the way!"

Tsunami certainly tried, but it wasn't terribly fast on its own. Heavy turtle shell and all that. It didn't get the full brunt but got slammed in the back at an odd angle, sending poor Tsunami another several steps away and making it spin on its shell, disorienting it.

You would think, given the opportunity to utterly dominate a dizzied opponent, that the Bagon would have the common sense to attack it. Instead, it seemed that pride got the better of it and it dared to again attempt the puffing up gesture it did to Tsunami...To Markus. Unfortunately for it, Markus could kneel down and still be higher than it, and once again did it present a highly target-able stomach for pounding, right in front of him.

"...Really?"

Markus kicked the Bagon in the chest, sending it backwards a considerable difference. The Bagon may have been a bit stupid and young, but come on. It didn't look terribly old, but it was already attacked once when it did that, did it think a second time would do anything? Probably did, somehow. Plus, the Bagon was dangerous, even if a bit stupid and young. The Drowzee that Tsunami miraculously two-shot was still capable of KOing a policeman (in a group), and could probably have still put up a fight had Tsunami failed to hit the head. Markus had a right to defend himself.

IF he had known Bagon was a Dragon type previously, he may have reconsidered that strategy. It was now looking angrily at HIM. Tsunami, meanwhile, had gotten out of spinning around dazed, and stood back up, ready for more action.

The Bagon's mouth began to, err, burn with some odd blue flame in its mouth. It was like ember, but, well, blue, which really just put a whole new spin on this battle. Markus did not recognize Bagon as a Dragon right up until then, for he HAD seen Dragonbreath in action, on televison. It was...Not fun to get hit by it. Not fun at all. Markus looked around-rather enclosed space, and the Bagon did not make the mistake of positioning it's head in such a manner that it could not easily turn to direct the attack towards him. It was not a short-range attack either. He really couldn't run.

Rookie mistakes. From a rookie, true, but still. Pokemon training Rule number 1: It is ALWAYS more dangerous than it seems.

Markus quickly looked to Tsunami, proving it really did happen quite fast. "Tackle!!!"

Tsunami managed to ram into the Bagon fast enough to stop the Dragonbreath, mercifully, but it was very close. Blue embers sprouted from its mouth in considerable excess, and Tsunami didn't look very pleased to take the blow, but it would have been worse had it been a proper attack rather than an unintentional release of energy. THe Bagon itself seemed to equally have taken it's own attack-probably worse, actually. Dragon types are considerably strong against one another. It didn't look terribly strong.

"Thank you, so much!" Markus said, addressing Tsunami quickly.

"Squirtle!"

"NOw then..." Markus added, reaching for a Poke Ball.

The Bagon was not done with Markus nor Tsunami, and it turned to stare at Tsunami, then back at Markus as he approached. Tsunami hit it more, so it was going to get more attention...Right as it seemed to start moving in an offensive manner, however, Markus casually tossed the Poke Ball onto the Bagon, hitting it right in the head.

This would hardly count as an attack, but it was a Poke Ball. for the first time in his life, the Poke Ball sucked in a Pokemon, and the wriggling began...Back and forth...Back and forth...Back and forth...Back and forth...

Zenith gritted her teeth as Qeb's Razor Leaf attack was swatted away like nothing. Crap.... this is bad... she thought. She then turned to Riolu, an idea came to her. "Riolu, use Agility to get in close to Kangaskhan quickly, then use Force Palm repeatedly on it!"

"Ri!" Riolu said, nodding. It then charged at the Kangaskhan at full speed, and once he was close enough, he thrusted his right palm forward into Kangaskhan's stomach. A blast of energy then emitted from Riolu's palm.

The Kangaskhan grunted in pain from the attack and staggered slightly, but it ultimately didn't seem too fazed by the move.

Zenith gritted her teeth again in frustration, then turned to Moon and Markus. "Moon, Markus, have your Squirtles use a combined attack on one of the pokemon! That'll make it stronger!" she said.

Moon paced around trying to figure out what she should do. She was to busy to help Zenith. Second quesssing herself wasnt going to work. She had two pokemon with good special attack.. She had already seen the Ice Beam of Buneary...mabye Shelly and Buneary working together with some way to slow it down would work.

Markus had caught the bagon..He didnt have time to celebrate as he noticed the Riolu's attacks were not enough. They were going to need to use all of their energy to take this pokemon down.
