Alice had to shut her eyes when Tyler launched himself at the Absol. She was terrified that he would get ripped apart. Instead he managed to give it a solid hit. Poor Phyre looked exhausted, but the Absol only had eyes for Tyler.

"Saur! Bulba!" Aster cried suddenly. He began to paw the ground.

Alice looked over to where he was motioning. The bushes were moving slightly. In fact... they seemed to be... walking?! Suddenly a small round blue head was visible under the leafy fronds. Alice yanked her PokeDex out of her pocket. "Oddish," it recited. "During the day, it keeps its face buried in the ground. At night, it wanders around sowing its seeds." Strange, Oddish were generally nocturnal. All the disturbances must have woken it up.

Alice stored her PokeDex and wondered what to do. Tyler was busy battling. She wasn't sure if Davis wanted to try and catch the Oddish himself, so she hesitated a little. Aster couldn't wait, however. He galloped over to his fellow Grass-type and began to nudge it in a friendly gesture of hello. Alice tried to keep an eye on Tyler as she headed over to where the Oddish was located. She hoped Aster knew what he was doing.
