Absol stomped its feet kicking up dirt. The Fire Spin had definitely hurt it. It swung its head back and forth, looking at Tyler and drawing a couple of shallows breaths. Phyre, as successful as the attack had been, was not looking too good. He wouldn't be fighting Absol again. "Hrm..." Tyler muttered, wondering what to do.

"Solllll," it growled. It circled around a couple more times before moving in swiftly towards Tyler.

It was acting exactly as Tyler expected; it was far too smart to fall for the same trick twice. It wasn't going to wait around and was charging directly at him. As it did, Tyler grinned and took his cue. Without thinking, he sprinted at the Absol. Before it had a chance to fully react, Tyler took a single sidestep before throwing himself towards its side, smashing into it with his full body weight. As he impacted, he felt a surge of pain ripple through his left shoulder and side but he landed on top of the cat-like hunter. He managed to pull himself to his feet, staggering back a little to look at the Absol, still in a heap on the floor.

"So, my feline friend, do you concede yet, or do we need to do this all over again..?" Tyler smiled nervously, panting heavily. This wasn't how he'd expected Day One of his journey to go.

The Absol dragged itself to its feet, staring at Tyler. It swayed a little, moving towards him again. Tyler nervously backed away a couple of steps, before stopping himself and standing his ground. It approached him still, slowly. Tyler still held his ground, even as the Absol stood within reach of attacking distance. Tyler paused, ready to fight it again if need be. However, the Absol dropped down slightly. It was showing Tyler that he had earned its respect. "Sol."

Tyler smiled. "So, this time, are you going to allow me to capture you and stay in your Pokeball?" The Absol stayed bowed, replying with another, distinct '"Sol."' Tyler nodded, pulling out a Pokeball and throwing it at the cat-like creature. It was enveloped in a red light and a few moments later, Tyler's Pokeball sparked slightly. This time, Absol had been captured. Tyler smiled, half out of happiness, half out of exhaustion. He looked around for Davis and Alice. They'd both moved out of the way; probably for safety reasons, Tyler assumed.

"Guys?" Tyler called out. "Anyone here?" He sighed, adjusting his torn t-shirt and getting out a bottle of water from his bag. "Let's hope every battle isn't that exhausting..."
