Kyo came over to check out the little pokemon. Meghan watched her befriend the feisty pokemon.
" You must really enjoy the challenge of dealing with difficult pokemon ...and people." She joked

Once the shiny Dark type relaxed Riolu seemed comfortable to come closer to Meghan. Meghan stayed still on her knees. Giving the pokemon a chance to really chck her out.

"Riolu?" He said walking up sniffing.

" Its okay little guy." Meghan smiled

The twin Squirtles jumped down from Kaze and came over to check out Riolu.
" Squritle!!"

"Squrit!"

The smiled

One of the Squirtle looked up at Meghan. Meghan smiled nodding.
" Of course...see we are the ones who got you here. Now can we go back inside and get your checked out and healed. Squritle here hurt her knee she will be with you." Meghan smiled.

Riolu smilled faintly and agreed to it.

Meghan called to Kyo as she headed back.

After making the proper changes Meghan called in the others.
" We have stuff to talk about as usual." Meghan said looking at the others.

"I have an idea. Since these pokemon have to go back to the pokemon center. What do you guys think about asking to just return them to the pokemon center ourselves. It would give us a chance to enjoy the evening." Meghan said.

The team (Being bunnied for obvious reasons) agreed that a walk away from all of the drama would be good. Plus the still had to find Surges stash ( @Pokemon Trainer Sarah ). Meghan walked outside to talk with an officer. The young man spoke to Officer Jenny and the team got the okay.

Not everyone was in good spirits but everyone had to feel a little relieved to be out of the crap at least for now.

"Well lets go get these little guys home. Wouldnt want anyone scared like we were about our missing pokemon." She said. Kaze followed her out of the cabin. The two squritles jumped back up on her back. The other pokemon stayed close to each other. The fossil type though looked like it needed help.

Ty walked next to Alice who picked it up.
"Do you need help? Is that pokemon like a million years old?"

Stacy meanwhile watched the sword pokemon hovering closer to were Rocky was. She smiled
" Honedge are strong pokemon. What do you know about them?"

Stacy looked at Rose and the odd pokemon floating a foot away from her.
" You must have a gift. I have never seen a Beldem follow someone like that. My old trainer told me they can sense things in people. He also said they were very expressive once you got use to being around them."

Paul meanwhile walked near Alice and Ty.

Meghan took the lead and along with Riolu and Zorua walking near Kyo and the Venipede. The team was doing good as they walked the path.

Rocky let his Pokemon out as they walked along the road. They seemed to enjoy the chance to stretch their legs. Rusty stayed right by Rocky's side, very content to be back by trainer's side. Speedy had perched himself on Rusty's back and was enjoying Rusty's new evolution as a mount.

Fury flew overhead stretching his wings and Behemoth was trying to Vulpix a few nace moves. Rocky was amazed that even as a huge Hippowdon, Behemoth could sill dance softly and beautifully.

Honedge was still following him, studying him. Rocky too the opportunity to study it in return as he walked.

"Honedge are strong pokemon. What do you know about them?" Stacy asked.

"Well I was studying them as part of my apprenticeship in Canalave. I can tell you quite a bit about them, although some of it is conjecture, it does some from the finest Pokemon researchers on the planet.

"Historical records show 5 great swords used by the finest warriors of the world. A great king of a faraway land had a sword he named 'Ten Caliber'. It held the power of rulership and glory. A ferocious horse-lord wielded 'the Hun blade'. It held the power of fear. A great knight and slayer of evil dragons wielded a giant sword named 'Brightblade'. It held the power of great courage. The shepherd's blade, held by a simple shepherd who led an army to fight back the darkness, was made of crystal as pure as glass. It held the power of light. 'Icingdeath' was wielded by a mysterious protector of the vast northern snowfield. It held the power of frost. The great warriors who held these swords refused to let death stop their crusades and allowed their spirits to merge with their blades.

"There is evidence to prove that these 5 swords were real, and common belief is that all Honedge descend from these great blades. I have also researched lesser known tales, 'rabbitslayer' which killed a God, 'Longclaw' defender of the wall and the 'Atlantean blade'.

"Any Honedge with one of those greater or lesser swords as their ancestor will be safe to use, but there is are stories, veiled in shadow, of darker, more sinister blades. Surely you have heard the tales of trainers who try to hold the hilt of a honedge and have their energy drained to feed the blade. These honedge are rumoured to be the descendant of the 'Ashen-Shugar' blade. This blade was wielded in the time before time by a being a great power who refused to die. His sword was found eons after he had passed and took over the body of the young man who picked it up, returning the powerful Ashen-Shugar to life. To touch one of these blads is to risk being swallowed by the blade and replaced by the spirit trapped within."

Then Rocky smiled. "Those are the tales I have researched anyway. The one detail that is consistent throughout the tales is that wielding one of these, bring's great power. I have never seen one this close before, but I intend to study it intensively."

paul got in the van, it had not much space and it was a little uncomfortable. then they drove down the bumpy road.
when the van got to the spot where Megan was last time they saw her.
then they went back to the cabin where they were greeted by a police officer
paul stood in the back of the group and was quiet.
paul felt really god when al the trainers where reunited with their pokemon.
then Meghan thanked paul and the others

"Thanks for taking care of my friends." She smiled

"i agree with Stacy they are amazing."

then paul walked over to the healing machine and got primeape and trapinch back to full health.

then meghan had an idea

"I have an idea. Since these pokemon have to go back to the pokemon center. What do you guys think about asking to just return them to the pokemon center ourselves. It would give us a chance to enjoy the evening."

paul thought that was a great idea. then he walked over to alice and Ty because he saw a pokemon that he newer had seen before
and he pointed his pokedex at it

"Tirtouga the Prototurtle Pokémon, About 100 million years ago, these Pokémon swam in oceans and it had the ability to dive to depths beyond half a mile"

and all the sudden trapinch jumped out of its pokeball and started to
gnaw on pauls leg. Paul stod there completely quiet and face palmed himself
and just thought really, REALLY!.

Ty smiled at Paul. The trainer was real quiet but friendly. Ty also liked that he had a Venusaur.

" You have Trapinch and Flaafy... Did you catch them here in Kanto or are you from another region??"

Ty didnt want to be rude. The 10 year old was just very curious.
"Stacy and me are from a place near Orre. Im going to be a ranger like my dad.." Ty smiled trying to be friendly.

Further ahead

Stacy was a little taken back by Rockys response.
" I didnt realize there famous swords." She laughed embarrassingly.

The team continued down the path through the forest. Alice kept and eye open. Finally reminding all the others.
@Pokemon Trainer Sarah I know you ready.

" Everyone we should find Surges treasure before leaving the area." she said

Ty looked over.
" Treasure ...oh yeah.. Call out the flyig types and lets find a x that marks the spot." he said reaching for a pokeball.

"But which directly."he asked

Stacy shook her head at her little brother.
"Ty.."

Meghan looked at Alice.
" How would we not take this opportunity to rip of Surge?" She smiled

" Nacht and Kaze lets help Alice." Megahn said calling out Honchkrow.

The team gathered near Alice.
"Ive been keeping an eye out for a golden band that connects three trees. We should all spread out in the area to look for it. The grunt said we just needed to look up in the are near the cabin where Meghan was held and we would find it."

" Sounds like a plan, but guys stay within shouting distance. We dont want to lose each other again." Meghans said.

Ty and Paul followed Sarah left. Stacy stayed with Rocky and Brandon. While Kyo, Megahn, Rose and the very quiet Kiara went anther way.

Alice was really excited to find this and made a game out of it with Ty and Paul running right by here.

It didnt take more than ten minutes to find it. Alice was the lucky one to spot it and called out for the others to come join them. Once they all were there they looked around the area. There search found nothing hover. The little beldum circled the area before stopping in front of the stump of a dead tree. Rose noticed it and walked over. She moved away the leaves and branches covering the area and found a door. The others joined her in clearing the garbage and getting the door up. As they entered the place they were taken back when the bunker had electricity and it was well constructed. They noticed eggs sitting on a specialized machine. ( Alice, Brettles, Rose, Paul, Kyo and Meg. If you got an email from me you will need to do that post before you can get this approved.)

They checked the area to make sure it was clear.
" Was this it?" Meghan said looking at the eggs.

" I dont really like this but we cant just leave these things here...what if they are some kind of weapon?" Meghan said unsure of why they would be down here.

" Or worse what if they were being breed for money.."

"I love treasure hunts. I still remember when I was thirteen and my parents hid three sets of keys to brand new Porsches somewhere on our estate. My brother, sister and I spent a day hunting through the grounds until we found the keys to our cars. Come on lets find that treasure!"

His Pokemon helped him look, but after 10 minutes be got the call that Alice had found the treasure. "Oh well, can't win them all. Let's go see what the treasure is."

They ended up in a bunker looking at a strange machine with eggs on it.

"I don't really like this but we cant just leave these things here...what if they are some kind of weapon?" Meg said. Rocky nodded in agreement. "Or worse what if they were being breed for money.." meg continued.

Rocky did not agree with that. Breeding Pokemon so that the rich could afford special Pokemon seemed perfectly fair. Those who had the money deserved the finer things in life!

"But what are they?" Rocky asked coming in to get a closer look. "They appear to be Pokemon eggs. This could simply be a fancy incubator."

It was time to get moving. The team agreed to walk the rescued Pokemon to the Pokemon Center themselves. It would be a nice break from the stresses of the day. Alice released Paprika to enjoy the walk. She knew the Pikachu would be glad to see Aster again!

Sure enough, Paprika ran straight to the Ivysaur. The two greeted each other happily, then Aster introduced Paprika to the Shiny Bulbasaur. "Bul?" it said shyly. Paprika ran up and nuzzled the Bulbasaur, pleased to meet any friend of Aster's, and the young Bulbasaur soon seemed to warm to the Pikachu. It laughed happily.

Plume followed sullenly behind Alice until Aria swooped down from the sky.

"Pidgeooo?" it cooed happily, shaking out its wings as Plume watched sort of jealously.

"Hey Aria, why don't you take Plume for a ride?" Alice said, noticing the interaction between the two. "You should get used to carrying something, and I'm sure Plume wouldn't mind helping us out," Alice knew she had to be careful not to damage the Archen's pride. Being unable to fly was a sore point for the bird. "While you're up there, keep an eye out for anything gold among the trees." Alice hadn't forgotten the stash of special crates that the Surge's grunt had mentioned. She hoped they weren't too late.

"Ack!" Plume squawked rather huffily, but Alice could tell she was excited. She scrambled onto the Pidgeot's back and clung on tight. "Aaaaack!" her squawk could be heard trailing off as the Pidgeot took to the sky. Aria had become very fast since her evolution.

All the Pokemon were ready to go, but the Tirtouga looked like it needed some help. Alice kneeled down next to it for a moment. "Will you let me carry you?" she asked. "We'll get you safely to the Pokemon Center."

"Tiiiir," The Tirtouga didn't look pleased about it but it let Alice lift it up. Plume jumped off her shoulder, not wanting to get too close to the turtle. It was quite heavy.

"Do you need help? Is that pokemon like a million years old?" Ty asked.

Alice grinned. "Thanks Ty, but that's okay," she said, hefting the Pokemon up. "I think this one is still pretty young. I don't know how to tell if Pokemon were revived from fossils or bred yet," Alice said, studying the Tirtouga. "But yes, these Pokemon would have been alive a hundred million years ago! The oceans would have been full of them. Same with Plume," Alice explained. "I'd love to know what happened to them all. But at least we have their fossils now so we can bring them back."

As the group walked, Alice kept an eye out for anything gold in the trees.

" Everyone we should find Surges treasure before leaving the area." Alice said, reminding the group. She had thought the treasure would be their stolen Pokemon, but that was obviously not the case. What else could it be?

The group sent out their flying types to scout and split up. After challenging Paul and Ty to find it first, Alice finally spotted the golden band that connected three trees, but she couldn't see anything obvious around it.

"Hey guys! Over here!" she yelled out, calling the group back in.

Aria circled overhead with Plume still on her back. "Pidgeooo!" she cawed, marking the spit for the other flying types.

"Ack!" Alice could hear the tiny squawk of Plume from above, not wanting to be left out.

Alice placed the Tirtouga down with Aster and the others while she kept searching.

It was the Beldum who found the spot. Rose uncovered a hidden doorway. Once the leaves and branches were out of the way, Alice found herself in a strange bunker. It looked to be state of the art.

A bunch of Pokemon eggs were sitting in a strange machine. Alice looked at them closely.

" Was this it?" Meghan said looking at the eggs. " I dont really like this but we cant just leave these things here...what if they are some kind of weapon?" Meghan said unsure of why they would be down here. " Or worse what if they were being breed for money.."

"But what are they?" Rocky asked coming in to get a closer look. "They appear to be Pokemon eggs. This could simply be a fancy incubator."

Alice had made up her mind as soon as she saw the eggs. "They're definitely some kind of eggs. Those poor Pokemon. Even if they're dangerous, we can't leave them here to be used by Surge," she said. "He can't want them for anything good. I think we should take them all and get them checked at the Pokemon Center," she looked around the room. "I hope they're okay. It doesn't look like anyone's here taking care of them."

Brandon stood there looking at the man for a few minutes, then he turned and began walking towards the building on the top of the hill to search for the remaining generals. Before he reached the door though, Rocky bumped into him, Brandon chatted with him for a couple minutes, then one of the new guys, Paul, he thinks was is his name, he tried to get to surge at the top of the building, but Surge was distracted by Meghan's much more threatening pokemon, so he sent out his top Raichu to keep Paul busy then focused on Meghan's battle. Brandon and Rocky watched the battle for a few minutes, before they felt the ground start to shake and they began to hear explosions. Brandon's instincts suddenly kicked in and he yelled to his pokemon "INTO THE BRUSH, QUICK!" , then he dove into some nearby bushes and trees at the edge of the woods, his pokemon hurried into the brush beside him.

Seconds later a couple bigger explosions erupted and electricity shot out everywhere, a few more moments later and the building began to collapse, the legendary pokemon Mew came to the scene rescued the generals that had been inside then Meghan's pokemon. When it was all over, surge was gone and the building was no more . In the distance they could hear sirens. Brandon knew they had to get out of there now before they got blamed for this one too. Someone had found whole bunch of batches that surge had left behind and the badges were passed around to everyone in the group. Brandon took his as it handed to him and he clipped it onto his trainer card.

Then Rocky's Charmeleon evolved into Charizard and Brandon applauded him. Then the group hopped into some sort of van and because it was so cramped, Brandon withdrew all his pokemon back into their pokeballs.

They drove while before arriving at the building they were at before and everyone loaded out. Police were waiting at the scene and Brandon prepared himself to get away if they tried to arrest them, but they didnt and when the officers found out they were part of Reese's group they let them right through, Brandon hurriedly walked past the officers and headed towards the building, from inside Meghan and the other new people in the groul she had taken with her came out to greet them. Meghan patted him on the back and Brandon smiled a little and said to Meghan "Good to see you too Meghan, good job at getting Alice's Ivysaur back, wish I could have helped ya, but I did kick some hind quarters back there though so thats good.... If you can excuse me Meghan I am going to go do some training with Skipper" . Brandon first walked into the building and used the healing machine to heal all his pokemon, once done, he walked back outside and then continued walking until he was a safe distance away from the group, released Skipper and pointed to a bidoof that was walking through some bushes a bit away, he explained to Skipper that this was a training exercise and then told him to take out the Bidoof.

Skipper nodded and walked closer to the bushes the bidoof was walking near, once he was close enough for an accurate attack, he made some fire and balanced it carefully in his hand, then he aimed very carefully at the bidoof and threw the flame at the bidoof in a well aimed ember attack. The flames hit the Bidoof, burning it badly and causing it to faint. Brandon began to say well done to skipper, but before he could say a word, skipper began to glow and tranform. Brandon stood and watched happily as his lead pokemon evolved into his final form.

After a few moments, Skipper stopped glowing and when he did, he was no longer a Charmeleon, but a Charizard. Brandon smiled happily seeing how big and strong his pokemon was now in his new form, he patted Skipper on the leg and said "Well done buddy, congrats on your evolution into a Charizard and I hope you enjoy your new awesome muscular body and wings. Skipper rubbed his new dragon like snout gently against his trainer, his way of saying thanks. Then Skipper took to the slies to test out the new wings, he flew high and somewhat fast, letting quiet roars and letting a little smoke out of his mouth, before finally landing gently back by Brandon's side, Brandon patted Skipper gently one more time and then motioned for Skipper to follow him. Brandon worked his way back to the group, as he arrived he heard them talking to Kyo, the new girl in the team rocket uniform. Skipper followed behind his trainer, when he noticed Rocky's Fury had evolved, he walked over to Fury and tapped him gently on the shoulder, then bowing his head in a friendly way, his way of congratulating Fury on evolving. Then Skipper wanted to test out his impressive new form and tried to intimidate Fury in a friendly, playful way, by letting out a snort and blowing a little bit of smoke of his mouth, showing off. Then he took a step back from Fury and held out his arms towards Fury, his way of saying "Now its your turn" , Skipper always tried to be fair when he played anything with a fellow friendly pokemon of someone's in the group and this was his way of being and to let Fury know it was a game and that he wasnt actually threatening him in anyway. He didnt want the Charizard taking his friendly playfuliness resulting in them battling, as with so many people around, the results of this would be tragic. As Brandon listened to others he in the group took, he glanced up and noticed Skipper interacting with Fury. Knowing he was being friendly to Fury, he smiled and then turned his attention back to the conversation by the group.

[strike]As the group began to move Skipper walked back to Brandon and walked beside him, as always, he turned his head to look aorund the area every now in then, on the look out for any threats.

Brandon followed the group as it walked along, walking at the back of the group and being quiet.[/strike]

Soon the group began to head out, except for him and Stacy, who Meghan had asked to stay behind. Brandon watched as the group walked away and hoped that they would succeed in whatever mission they were going on.

"I don't know if I'd call it a gift but..." Rose began. For a moment, she considered telling her about her connection with Amirah, but she decided that she wasn't ready to tell Stacy or Ty yet. It wasn't that she didn't trust them. She wasn't quite sure why she didn't want to tell them. "Thank you." She said. She began to wonder if the psychic type really could sense that she was different. Rose listened to what Rocky had to say about Honedge. She was very interested in the stories he had to tell.

Alice mentioned the treasure that the grunt had told them about. "We... Probably should go see what it is." Rose said unsurely. Really, she just wanted to go back to a Pokemon Center and rest, but they couldn't just ignore this. Rose followed along behind the others quietly. After splitting up to search, eventually Alice found the marker they were looking for. As Rose approached, she didn't see anything at first. She noticed that the Beldum with her seemed to see something. She walked over to where it hovered. Suddenly, she stepped on something hard. She began brushing away leaves to find that she had stepped on a trap door.

Inside they found rows of eggs in some kind of devices. " I dont really like this but we cant just leave these things here...what if they are some kind of weapon?" Meghan said.

"Weapon?" Rose questioned. She didn't quite understand where Meghan was going with this. "Regardless of why these are here, I'm with Alice. We should take these to the Pokemon Center." Rose insisted.

Meghan smile slowly faded. She pulled out the papers.

" I didnt want to bring this up yet. I got these from PI after I bet him at his own game.. " she said putting the pictures and the papers down on the table for everyone to see ( Pictures of pokemon in cages. Lab equipment, the papers listed conditions for breeding and possible gene splicing experiments and hybrids.)

" All of this and Surge is just a small part of something much scarier. Surge is just a middle man." Meghan said her anger rising.

" Someone is trying to create something...not natural." She frowned..

"That and this whole thing feels wrong to me. How did you guys get info on this place..." Meghan had tried to hold back.

" What if someone wanted us to find this...Kyo and I saw first hand what the Black Rockets can do." Meghans eyes watered..

" We found a room for experimenting... We found the chair that Max was tied to...I saw his stuff.' She her eyes watering.

" Something evil beyond greed, money and power is going on here." Meghan paused

" Sorry but we cant hold anything back anymore. You deserved to know that I found Max's stuff that Dredd is Max. That Team Rocket is making monsters." Meghan looked at one of the eggs carefully putting it in her bag.

Alice looked at the papers Meg had put down on the table. Some of them were similar to the ones she had found in the house after the PI left. But others were much different... Alice recognised some of the lab equipment from her university days, but there were also strange notes about gene splicing and hybrid Pokemon. What was going on? "These experiments..." Alice looked at the eggs. "You don't think these eggs could be involved?"

Meg was visibly upset. "How did you guys get info on this place..." she asked.

"One of Surge's grunts mentioned it," Alice replied.

" What if someone wanted us to find this..." Meg continued. " Sorry but we cant hold anything back anymore. You deserved to know that I found Max's stuff that Dredd is Max. That Team Rocket is making monsters."

Alice glanced at Rose. They had known that all along, ever since Cerulean, hadn't they? They had been inside Dredd's mind and found Max. But maybe Meg hadn't wanted to believe it. Maybe she couldn't believe it until she saw the evidence for herself. Knowing that Surge and Team Rocket were involved was hard but not surprising to Alice. What she wanted to know was what they were trying to achieve.

After a moment, Meg took an egg and placed it into her bag before walking outside. Alice selected one too. "We should all grab an egg," she said. "No Pokemon deserves to be involved in this, no matter how it was created."

Alice followed Meg out into the night. Her Pokemon rested nearby and it seemed the Tirtouga was warming to them. Plume had even managed to get close without being sprayed in the face.

Meg was very upset. Alice walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Meg... I'm sorry about what I said in Vermilion. You might handle things differently than I would, but sometimes that's what it takes. I heard how you disabled Surge's machine all by yourself. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have our Pokemon back right now. And you saved Aster too. You're the bravest of all of us and that's something I really admire."

Alice paused. She wasn't sure if she should say anymore. But maybe Meg deserved to know. Maybe it would give her hope, as it had Alice. "I'm sorry about Max," she blurted out. "I know you cared about him a lot. That night in Cerulean... I saw something in Dredd's mind... memories. And one of them was you and Max together. You were both older. I don't know what it means exactly... but it gives me hope that everything will be alright. That he'll be alright. We'll do our best to save him."
