Meghan felt her heartbeat picking up as Rose talked. Max's soul had been ripped apart by a Giratina. Meghan wasnt to familiar with the pokemon. She felt her breath picking up and took a few steps back.
" What is a Giratina?" She said stumbling back

She tried to pay attention to what was being said but she felt very light headed. Power gems, fighitng dredd...Killing Max. Meghan turned to look for Kyo. She tried to call for help but it was to late. The trainer fell back into the grass. Her breaths now out of control. Meghan tried to reach for her pills but in the confusion couldnt find them. Kaze flew over knocking the others out the way.
" Charizard?? Char!!!" She said scared for her trainer.

Meghans heart beat was getting faster and faster

While Rocky was waiting for his fist bump their was a kerfuffle amongst the girls as Meg fell to the ground seemingly unable to breathe. Rocky rushed to help, but Kaze had knocked the other trainers away from Meg. It seemed that the charizard was trying to protect her.

"Whoah, Kaze. Meg needs help. You need to let us get to her." Rocky said trying to calm down the large charizard. "What happened?" Rocky asked, while maintaining eye contact with Kaze trying to make him back down so that the girls could get to Meg.

Alice was shocked when Meg collapsed. She had never seen anything like it. Meg's Charizard swooped in protectively, forcing Alice backwards. "Meg!" Alice cried panic-stricken. "What's wrong with her?!"

Then Rocky was there, trying to calm Kaze.

"Aster!" Alice called. "Sweet scent, hurry!" Alice wasn't sure if the soothing effects of the aroma would calm Meg and help her to breathe, but she could only hope. If not, it at least might help calm Kaze.

"Saur!" Aster ran over. His scent was the familiar smell of an old forest, leaf litter and pine needles, fresh air and summer rain. Alice could smell something else under it though, something sweeter.

Sure enough, when she tore her eyes away from Meg, she noticed the Shiny Bulbasaur next to Aster, copying his attack. Her aroma was of meadows in spring, wildflowers and the tang of citrus.

"yeah, but it could also be som thing really cute and fluffy" paul replied jokingly but hoping he was correct

but then suddenly one of the trainers fell to the ground paul ran over to the trainer but was knocked over by the trainers charizard.
Rocky tried to calm the flame pokemon and alice tried using her ivysaurs sweet sent.
paul did the same thing as Alice and sent out his venusaur.

Kaze growled when Rocky got to close. In her confusion she didnt know what had happeened But started to relax when she realized Rocky was a friend. The Chrarizard cleared space.

"Char char char!" It pleaded that Meghan had a condition. Of course none of it made sense to Rocky but Fury understood and turned to Rocky to let him know. The scared Charizard turned back to Meghan. Alice came rushing in to help.

When Meghan fell Kyo made her way in.
"She has a heart condition!" she bending over.

As they shuffled through the stuff the Ivysuar teamed with Paul's Venusaur helped Meghan start to breath.

"Alice check her bag!" she said bending over to search Meghans pockets.

Alice shuffled through the bag. She found a book called understanding fossils on it. There were sticky notes to different chapters the book fell open and Alice noticed a map. "Possible locations for Alices Areodactyle." the she flipped the book closed and kept looking. She also pulled out articles about The Canalave Times from Sinnoh. There were clippings of news papers that had young Rocky standing next to Byron. " The future gym leaders are already here!" the article said. She kept going to finding a Chimecho's training guide "How to help your pokemon reach its fully potential."

Finally after that she found pokeblocks. Drawings and a bag with Pills in it. Alice noticed they were prescription. She found a bottle of pills designed to heart dieses and opened it up. She pulled out a bottle of water and had Kyo lift her head and they gave the trainer the pills. After a few moments Meghans breathing slowed down and she just layed on the grass.

Another 15 would pass before Meghan would finally sit back up. She felt really embarrassed. Kaze came over and nuzzled the trainer. The twin squritles tried to help two coming over to check on her.
"Sorry guys.." Meghan said.

Kaze calmed down and let the trainers get to Meg. A lovely aroma from the bulbasaur, Ivysaur and Venusaur helped.

"Char char char!" Kaze cried out.

"I don't know what you mean!" Rocky said.

Fury tapped Rocky on the shoulder. "Char char char!" Fury repeated.

"Oh, really? Hey guys ..."

"She has a heart condition!" Kyo said"Alice check her bag!"

Alice went through Meg's bag and found some pills. After 15 minutes she was sitting and looking better. "Sorry guys" she said and she cuddled Kaze.

"Get some rest and then we can get you to the Pokemon Center where they can make sure you are OK!" Rocky said. "We only just got you back. We don't want to lose you again."

"She has a heart condition!" Kyo called out. Alice was surprised. She had no idea! There was no time to think about it now thought. "Alice check her bag!" Kyo cried.

Alice grabbed Meg's bag and began searching. She came across a number of items related to herself, Rose and Rocky. The fossil book mentioned Aerodactyl locations. Alice was touched that Meg had remembered her saying she wanted an Aerodactyl, and even bothered to do some research. Meg cared about them all, so much. But again, there was no time to waste. Meg's breathing seemed to have improved from the Sweet Scent but she was still knocked out. Finally, Alice found a small bottle of prescription pills. She scanned the label quickly before administering them to Meg, with the help of Kyo.

The pills took some time to take effect. Alice paced nervously as they waited for Meg to wake up. Her breathing had definitely slowed down though, that was good.

After 15 minutes, Meg finally sat up. "Sorry guys," she said.

"Get some rest and then we can get you to the Pokemon Center where they can make sure you are OK!" Rocky said. "We only just got you back. We don't want to lose you again."

"You scared us!" Alice replied. "Thank Ho-Oh Kyo was here! I'm so glad you're okay!" She wanted to ask why Meg hadn't told them about the condition. It seemed like something your travelling partners should know so they could help in this situation. But it wasn't the time. She was just glad that Kyo had known and everything turned out alright.

By 7:30 Meghan was ready to get going again. The team had been very kind in giving her time to rest a little. Meghan hated stopping and wanted to keep going right away but more than a few unnapproving looks and a flat out wall created by Kaze and Rocky stopped that. When she was ready to go she got up and stretched out a little.

" No hospital or pokemon center needed." She sighed.

" Lets get moving. We need to get the pokemon eggs and these little guys back to the pokemon center."

The team packed up and was ready to go a two minutes later.

As they walked Meghan was silent and distracted. Staying in the lead with her head down. Meghan mauled over the idea of what exactly to say to everyone. The team talked and laughed along the way back to the pokemon center. They walked for a couple of hours before stopping to camp for the night. With help from everyone the team built a camp fire. Meghan sat down looking into the flames. When everyone was finally all the fire she spoke up.

" I think its time we all lay our cards down on the table. If we are going to travel together we need to truly trust each other. Ill start." Shes said still looking at the flame. Meghans gaze was sad and distant.

" I use to be a Rhyhorn Racer back in Kalos." she said pulling out a poketreat out of her bag to give to the Riolu laying by her side. She also tossed a couple to Kaze and the Squritles who rolled around to get the two on the ground.

" When my family was growing up we moved around a lot. Half my life was spent in Johto the other half in Kalos. With some stops in between. My mother was a world famous Pokémon Coordinator. My father was/is a retired gym leader. He is a researcher now. My parents loved me but they were often busy. ..so much so that instead of watching cartoons in the morning and after school I had to sit through. Tape after tape of Coordinator showcases and old battling tapes from my dads battling days. At first I hated the videos and the books and the papers because my parents seemed more into there own lives than they did being an active part of mine. After a while I learned that if I was going to win my parents back I needed to do something they respected. So I started to watch all there videos. I downloaded battling from all over the world to see who was hot and what strategies they used. I took in everything and even started taking note of peoples tells for when they were setting up something or out of ideas. I also sat through the showcase videos which I found to be intersting because of what Coordinators do. If you ever see me battle you might say my strategy is odd but it has come from watching both types of showcasing a pokemons skill." She paused

" So I learned what I could and with time my parents started to notice. When we moved to Kalos we ended up blocks away from Rhyhorn racing center. My partners took me to a few shows and I was in love. My parents loved the sport and knew the racers and there pokemons names. When I noticed this I had a new goal. I had to be like the racers. I had to compete, I had to be what those people cheered for. To be that person out there fighting for every inch and coming out in first place. If I could do that my parents would think Im special. So I told them thats what I wanted to do, they didnt liek the idea but after nagging them for awhile my Parents finally caved in and let me race. They even set up part of our land to create a course. So a few Rhyhorns later and I was lucky enough to have a trainer. Racing felt natural to me. I had always loved to push my limits so being on the beasty and riding through a crowd only made that feeling grow stronger and stronger!" She said a slight smile on her face.

"I got pretty good..even came in first in some of the smaller races. When the big racing season started my parents pushed me to work harder day and night to qualify for regional races. On the night ..." Meghan paused for a moment letting her hair fall down and cover her eyes from the others.

"On the night of the big race my mother got into a terrible accident on her way to the race. Moments before the race started my dad came rushing over and I could see the heartbroken look on his face. As the gun was fired into the air i stayed focused on his sad eyes. I remember those eyes as if if they were a photo frozen in time. As the Rhyhorn kicked to start running I called out. "Wheres mom? Is she okay?" Then I noticed it. My dad froze and his eyes welled up. " Meghan paused wiping her eyes.

" No, no I thought to myself...My focus was gone and I lost track of the race and just like that. " Meghan said now crying more.

" There was a huge crash and people and pokemon were everywhere. The scared pokemon charged , slammed and kicked there way out. When my partner flipped over on top I felt everything come out of me. It felt as if my whole body was broken and all I could do to this poor scared and now injured pokemon was tell her it would be alright. I reached over and rubbed her head trying to calm her. When everything started to calm down my father jumped in and ran over to me. By that time I had noticed the extent of the damage. Adrenaline had shielded me from the chest wound. My father was so scared when he bent down. I remember asking where is mom, dad where is she? When I finally looked down I could see what he was talking about. In the confusion my partner had gored me in the chest. Her horn had pierced my chest and into my part of my heart. It felt like a lifetime had past but when I realized it it all came crashing down. Everything went black and that was it. When I woke up in the hospital I finally got the answer that I had been asking. My mother had been in a car crash on her way to rushing to see me race. She was still alive when I was rushed in but died shortly after. I think because she was heartbroken. After that the doctors were telling me all these things I didnt understand. My heart was damaged and I would never be able to race again. That adrenaline could potentailly kill me and i should avoid any extreme sports or even try to avoid stress. I had lost my mother and lost my hope. I was given pills to take to bring to balance out my levels when i got to scared, stresed or excited. I didnt tell you guys because I didnt know you well. My first attack happened when I met Heracross. I just didnt know you well and I didnt want you to look at me like other people have. by the next attack we had split up. Kyo saw it first hand after Dredd almost killed us. I didnt hide it because I didnt trust yous.. I just didnt want to give you another reason to worry about me. " She said leaning back against Kaze.

Alice settled in by the fire, leaning back against Aster. The Ivysaur preferred not to be too close to the flames and was happy with the arrangement.

"I think its time we all lay our cards down on the table. If we are going to travel together we need to truly trust each other. Ill start." Meg said. She seemed to be lost in thought.

Alice listened carefully as Meg told everyone about her childhood, the death of her mother and her injury. It as quite a tragic tale, and by the end, Meg was crying. Alice's admiration for how strong Meg had become only grew. Her own parents might be busy a lot, but at least they were always there if she needed them. Alice was a deeply private person, however, and didn't feel comfortable opening up yet, especially with some of the newer members of the group she didn't know too well. She hadn't shared much about her life with any of the others, besides that her parents were researchers.

She stayed quiet, pulling at the grass by her side and stroking Plume's feathers as the bird cuddling up in her lap.

Rose panicked when Meghan collapsed. Quickly, Kaze pushed everyone away from her. Good thing Alice and Kyo were there, because Rose was completely useless. She completely froze, unsure of what to do. After calming down Kaze enough to let her get close, Alice was able to find Meghan's heart medicine in her bag and give it to her. Rose sighed with relief. She wished Meghan had told them that she had a heart condition. They gave Meghan some time to rest. After a while they stopped to make camp. Rose joined the others by the fire.

" I think its time we all lay our cards down on the table. If we are going to travel together we need to truly trust each other. Ill start." Meghan explained before going through a story about her childhood. Rose had no idea when Meghan had been through. She didn't say a word. What could she say? But she felt she had to do something. Meghan and the others always did their best to comfort her when she was upset. When she started to cry, Rose moved over to her and reached an arm around her shoulder.
