The ground shook knocking back all attempts to get close. The massive creature trashed about. knocking back grunts and trainers alike. Nathan Combusken almost found itself part of the floor. Luckily Slick was just that much faster pulling the fire type out of the way.
"Handle the grunts Nathan.." Max commanded
" Your going to get your pokemon killed." He said trying to get the trainer to get on the same page as everyone else.

His attention moved back to the the glimmering mammoth. The longer it continued this ramage the more everyone in the cave would be in trouble. Max ran towards the creature calling out charmeleon.
"We need to get its attention!" Max said

He pointed out the northern route.
"Head to the far north and use fire spin.." He said calling out Pidgeotto
" Give it your best whirlwind and focus your wave of energy due south..You need to distract it while Lila gets into place." He said sending the Pidgeotto.

Upgrade began to flash and Porygon popped up.
"Max...this tunnel structural integrity is becoming compromised. I suggest a more serious approach."

Max sighed.
"I agree but falling back to the stronger pokemon is not the point of this exercise." He paused realizing that sounded selfish. He had loved to test himself but Upgrade was right.

"Transfer in Chunk.."

Rotom took a couple of second then sent the data to the pokeball.
"Uploaded"


Max reached for the ball calling out Swampert.

As Spinner and Lila now caught the onixs attention. There attacks didnt seem to do much of anything.

"I need your help old friend."

Max press a button opening up the key stone slot. He pressed down on it watching a purple sphere encompass Swampert. After it was done. Max whistled to the evolved pokemon.


"Chunk...we dont have time to waste..."

It let out a mighty roar.


"Go in and hit it as hard as possible. Its weakenes directly in the center. This could get rough but we need to stop this." Max said sighing. The bulky mega rushed in using its powerful body to slam into the center of the Onix. The Crystal beast let out a roar. At that point Lila's Fire Spin was set and SPinners Tailwind kept the fire burning around it.

Max let out a low whistle calling back over Rotom.



"We got King trapped now its time to set in place the thunder wave so Chunk can finish this. You go that?"

Rotom Zipped around nodding. The little ghost flew right around the crystal onix releasing thunder wave.

The crystal onix not ready to go down without a fight slammed its tail into the cave floor setting off the last hit needed to start the cave in. As if feel the ground Swampert finished it off with a hard slam knocking it out. Max called to the others....
"We need to get out of here! Get these grunt out of here through the north eastern tunnel there." He called loudly to the group.

The tunnel floor started to crumble with rocks falling over the place.
"Upgrade call them back." Max said running over to get his pokemon he. He ran up the back of the stunned mammoth and jumped over to the front it using a pokeball to capture it. He then ran towards Lila so that Upgrade was with in range to call her and the others back. As he ran towards the exit he Swampert turned back into normal form following him. As rocks came down.
he smashed through them clearing the path.

The opening was now wide enough for the others to escape. The fate of Butch and Cassidy had not even crossed his mind. The grunts that were still here were. He helped get them out. Waiting for the group to make the escape.
